Solo effort from mod-revival group, The Jetset, front man. This 1992 Tangerine Records CD is a re-release of Paul Bevoir's 1985 first solo LP. Contains some additional songs not available on the original LP.
It only makes sense that someone in the 90s would revive the whole 60s yé-yé girl movement, they were reviving everything else from the 60s. April March does just that on this CDEP (which contains 3 more tracks than the 7" vinyl) released on Kokopop from 1993. Kitschy novelty pop, I love the Robert Mitchum tune.
I love this CD from England's Smalltown Parade with Paul Bevoir. He did the whole mod-revival thing in the 80s with his previous group, The Jetset, and this is the whole hippy mod-revival thing going on here again in the 1990s. On Japanese label Polystar from 1993.
Squire are definitely one of the best mod-revival, power pop group of the late 70s / 80s. Perfectly constructed pop songs here on this album from Anthony Meynell in 1984.
Mid-80s mod-revivalist Dee Walker had some potential to be pretty huge. Styled after the sixties "girl" singers. From what I read she retired from the music business shortly after releasing this album which some (all?) of the songs were penned by Paul Bevoir.
