Giving Thanks

Today I am thankful to have a home - be it ever so humble. I was doing a project for school yesterday and it concerned the "global economy" which got me to thinking about how lucky I really am. With so many people out there that ended up losing their homes when the bottom fell out of the real estate market, I feel that I am truly lucky. I am thankful for that.

  1. Good Morning, I am thankful for so any things --but right now, I'm thankful for good health. Since I had always been healthy, I guess I had taken my health for granted... After this latest sickness, I'll never do that again. Thanks be to God for good health.
    Hugs,

  2. I'm like you, I feel extremely grateful to have my home. Sometimes...often times I find myself wishing for a larger place and the harsh truth is there are some people who wish they had any place to call home beside staying with a friend/family or in a shelter or heaven forbid the street. I give God full credit for all the good blessings He has graced our lives with. Thanks for reminding me!

  3. I thought the same thing as I went out to my mail box this morning. How nice to be able to have a warm home on this cold day.

  4. I think that all of the time. I am so thankful I have somewhere to live. I heard about a family that lived during the depression and they lived in an chicken coop.
The man that told me the story told me how they fixed it up and all the things they did to it.
The man who told me that story was a very wealthy man by then but even then he said they felt so blessed because at least they had somewhere to live. I always think about it.
We went to the library and you could tell the people in the car next to us were living in their car. It really hit me how blessed I am.
