Giving Thanks day 3

Today I have to say that I am thankful for my children. Being their mother has been the most rewarding job I have ever had in my life - and I do think of it as a job. We are given the opportunity to mold a child into the person they will be as an adult - a daunting responsibility really. I made lots of mistakes along the way but I am so proud of the people my children have become. Both are responsible, hard working, caring individuals. There were lots of laughter, tears, sneers, slammed doors and even some times when they said I was the worst mother in the world but in the end, I must have done something right. I am thankful for that.

  1. I think one of the greatest rewards of raising children is reaping the benefits of interacting with them as adults. It is a wonderful part of the life of a parent, as you know.

  2. and I am thankful that you were a fantastic mother to them. I am blessed to spend every day with the product of all your hard work, and he is a wonderful man. I look forward to watching him become a father! Thank you for everything you taught him, and have yet to teach us!

  3. I started to write a note, but first read your prior comments. The comment above, written by Camii, caught my eye. That, alone, is the most wonderful comment a Mom could ever hope to hear! Good Job!

  4. Got your message that I am disappearing, boy my ghost costume must have been better than I thought. Seriously, I have been having a few issues on blogger, buy I followed you, and hopefully it is straightened out. I enjoy your blog. My experience with my kids mirrors yours. I am so proud of how they turned out, sometimes in spite of me.
