It is once again time to head over to Patrice's from Everday Ruralty for our weekly chat.
This Week's Questions:
- What's you favorite kind of salad?
- How old were you when you learned to cook?
- What's your favorite kind of store? (grocery, garden, department, cooking, bookstore, etc)
- If you could have lived during another time in history, what time would that have been?
- I'm looking forward to_______________.
My Answers
- Taco salad! Love it.
- I really don't know - seems like it was just always something you did.
- I love the cooking stores - but then I have a sort of thing for all the kitchen gadgets.
- I've always thought that I would have liked to live back in the 1800s - in a time when women didn't have to work and got to stay at home with their kids. I know it was a hard life back then but I think I could do it - after all I love to garden, can my own vegetables, cook and clean - although I'm not sure about living without my washing machine.
- I'm looking forward to being a grandmother!!!!!! - now really did anyone think I would say anything else? Grandson due on Feb 29th!
| See the little heart they made! |
Oh, I hope grandson does come on the 29th... he'll stay young forever!
ReplyDeleteOh... life without a washing machine would be tough... but, they just didn't wash things as often - P.U.!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. You can come visit me at the Biltmore - in that era they had grand parties and guests would stay for weeks at a time!
True that they didn't wash as often - nor did they have nearly as many clothes - wore the same thing just about every day. P.U. is right!
DeleteSo excited for you. I'm sure you are on pins and needles by now!!!! Here's something to keep you busy... you've been awarded!!! Come on by and check it out. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for you!!!! That Grandson will be here soon. You will absolutely love being a grandmother...
ReplyDeletePlease take out your Word Verification... I cannot read it and will not comment again if it is there. Thanks!

Hi Betsy! It took me a while but I finally figured out how to turn it off and guess what! It solved the problem of me not being able to reply to comments on my posts!
DeleteCongrats on #5! How exciting!
ReplyDeleteHi Tami, Thanks SO SO MUCH... I seriously don't have any idea why Blogger made that awful change... It is so hard for us..
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
You're quite welcome! I'm just amazed that I can now "reply" - can't tell you how much time I spent trying to figure out why it wasn't working before!
DeleteI didn't even think of taco salad....I love that, too!!! Congratulations on being a GRANDmother. There's nothing like it. We have 2 GRANDsons and will be getting two more GRANDbabies from Uganda....at least one of which will be a girl....YIPPEE!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis will be my first grandchild - so excited!
DeleteI like taco salad too. I forget about it, so when I make it, my family hasn't had it in a while and they treat it like it's something really special! I am a fool for kitchen gadgets! That is a darling picture. I'm sure you're anxious for the baby's arrival. I wish safety and health on the arrival and much happiness afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI do so love my kitchen gadgets! I really can't get any more because I'm out of room to store them!
