10 Day Nail Art Challenge: Snow

Hey everyone! I've got the next installment of the 10 Day Nail Art Challenge for you today!

I did snowflakes for the last challenge because I didn't look ahead at the next one haha. That's okay because I really like what I did for this one.

I started with two coats of China Glaze Aquadelic for my sky. Then I stamped with Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and Bundle Monster plate BM 301. It was a little faint, so I went over the bottom part with some more white and a make-up sponge.

Then I added some random dots with a dotting tool. I love how frost this looks :) We aren't getting any snow here, so this kinda makes up for it. It's also a nice break from traditional holiday colors.

Summer Challenge: Blue/Green/Aqua

I'm finally doing another Summer Challenge mani! I looove these colors together so I was excited to play around with these.

I used China Glaze Gaga for Green, First Mate and Aquadelic. Gaga for Green is a fabulous apple green jelly. It only took two coats for opacity. Amazing. These are the kinds of colors that make me love China Glaze.

I freehanded the dots and stripes with dotting tools and striping brushes. this was super simple, but I really enjoyed the end result :) Also, I apologize for the lack of cleanup on the index nail. I didn't notice it until now. And for my cuticles! I feel like Colorado is sucking all moisture from my body!

Spring PCFC Day 18: Lambs

Baaaaaaaaaaa! Here are my sheep :) Aren't they cute? I started with two coats of China Glaze Starboard to make a pasture. Then I used NYC French Tip White and L.A. Colors Circuits for the sheep. I used a dotting tool for their wool and faces and then a small brush for their ears, eyes and legs. The middle finger is my favorite :) I put a black sheep on the thumb because it gets left out of nail pics a lot.

Oh! I remember why I was so proud of this! If you'll notice, this is my right hand, meaning I painted everything with my left hand!

Spring PCFC Day 15: Mr. Blue Sky

I went to remove my pastel skittles and decided to leave the blue one to use for my sky. But then I realized I had another blue in my untrieds! I decided to leave China Glaze Kinetic Candy on my ring finger, and then used one coat of Zoya Breezi on each of the other nails. All these one coaters I've been using are seriously spoiling me.

After the base color dried, I used NYC French Tip White and the larger side of each of my dotting tools to make the clouds. They're just so whimsy! Every time I glance at them, it makes me smile :)

The thumb is my favorite. I think just because there's so much nail to work with lol.

Texas Independence Day!

In case you didn't get it from my Texas Flag Mani. I really really really love Texas. And March second is Texas Independence Day celebrating the day Texas separated from Mexico with the Texas Declaration of Independence which created the Republic of Texas. In elementary school we always celebrated Texas Independence Day with a chuckwagon lunch (usually accompanied by live music including a fiddle) and dancing the Cotton-Eye Joe in P.E. Now that I'm in college, nobody really cares :( I decided to celebrate by putting the state flower (bluebonnets) on my nails! :)

I started with three coats of a light blue Cosmetic Arts. I then used a brush to paint on Sinful Colors Exotic Green for the stem. I then used a dotting tool and Sinful Colors Neptune, China Glaze Electric Beat and NYC French Tip White.

Bluebonnets are so pretty, but unfortunately they don't grow in the semi-arid area of Texas that I live in. They do grow on my grandmother's ranch, which is just a few hours away. If I can't enjoy them in real life, at least I can have them on my nails :)

Happy Texas Independence Day Y'all! Go eat some delicious BBQ and listen to some country with a fiddle in it!

31 Day Challenge: Day 14-Flowers

This mani is simpler than I ever imagined doing, but I like it a lot! I love white nails and I love the simplicity of the design :)

These are the polishes I used: Icing mini white, Cosmetic Arts fuchsia, Zoya Dita, Finger Paints Yule Be Merry, Essie unknown, NYC Times Square and Love and Beauty Silver Holo Glitter.

I used various sized dotting tools to make the flowers. I kinda messed up the ring finger, but it still turned out ok. I left the middles white because I could't find a color that contrasted enough. Then I looked at the glitter and thought it would make good flower centers. How do you like it?

Also doing this challenge is Emma of Manicurity, Bec at Laquer Dreams, Julia at Julia Loves Nails, Linda at Nail Polish Enthusiast, Kirsten at Geeky Owl, and Jenna at The Key to Jennasis. You should definitely check these lovely ladies and their nails out!
