Award from Sandee

From Sandee @ Comedy Plus. "I've never started an award before, but I found this wonderful graphic on IncrediMail and just thought of how true this rings right here on the Internet. We are all so different, but we visit each other almost everyday. We laugh, cry, hug and support each other through thick and thin. We are a great big family of great friends and I just want to say to all my regulars that I appreciate each and every one of you very much. That being said I am giving each of you this Best Friends award for being so very special to me. Everyone in my buddies, link exchange and my drops lists may have this award.

Sandee is the nicest person. You can go and read her funny blog at http://comedyplus.blogspot.com/

So if you like awards then do up a post, link to this blog post and pass the love along. Thank you to all the 'Best friends No matter what...' I have made over the years. Hugs."

I don't think I can add anymore to what Sandee has already added. So please accept this lovely award to all of my wonderful bloggy friends and freely pass it on.

Open Source Blog Post Award

Open Source Blog Post Award
written by Pam- October 10th, 2009 at 7:50 pm

Thom at http://tp4ww.com/, has so kindly given this award to me. Thank you very much my friend. I appreciate it so very much. What m!akes this a great award is it has a different way of passing it on Woot!

Before you put the links below when you pass this award, you must remove the participant number 1 from the list. So that all participants up 1 level. Who was number 2 become number 1, number 3 was 2, and so on. Then insert you own links at the bottom (10).

So I remove WoeL and place myself as number 10. How's that for fun?

1. WoeL

2. Lyla

3. Mr. D

4. Sweet_shelo

5. Chris

6. Kaye

7. Yami

8. Mizhelle

9. Hootn’ Anni

10. Thom

So I remove WoeL and place myself as number 10. How’s that for fun? So the new list to be used and copied to those I pass it on to becomes:

1. Lyla

3.Sweet_shelo

4. Chris

5. Kaye

6. Yami

8. Hootn’ Anni

9.Thom

10. finding pam

I am so confused now, so if you have any questions about this award just go to Thom's blog.
Again, Thom, thanks so much. I really appreciate your thinking of me for this award!

And I in turn pass this award onto following blogs:

Sandee at Comedy Plus

Cherie at Butterfly Dreamer

Michelle at RAMBLING WOODS

Mike at RAMBLING STUFF AKA GOLCH CENTRAL

Nick at Nick's Bytes

Meridith at The Things We Carried

DeDetta at My Little Corner of the world

Thom's Place 4 Whatever Award

My friend Thom at Thoms Place 4 Well Whatever... has so kindly passed this award on to me and his entire list of blog friends. That's so nice of you. Thom, you and I just love awards. But...

I just found out that some of you do not accept awards with any rules (Dr. John), so from this day forward I will pass all awards without any strings attached, besides that will make it easier to spread the awards and all the joy of receiving them. I am sorry if I have offended anyone with these silly rules. I did not think this through.

With that being said, I would like to pass this award to all that love them and feel free to grab any other awards here.

Life is like a box of chocolates

Life is like a box of chocolates award.
In my best southern accent, I would like to say that I have been thinking about a new award and what I would like it to say. People are like Forrest Gump said " Life is like a box of chocolates and you never know what you're gonna get".

You can see this box of chocolates is filled with different and unique candies and just like the chocolates we are all different and unique people. We are the same in that we all have common ingredients that make us more a like than not. Except for the frosting, which represents our personalities, we are indeed very similar on the inside.

I would like to pass this new award to the following nine bloggers that have made a difference to me in the blogsphere:

Sandee at Comedy Plus

Annie at A Nice Place In The Sun

Mimi at Mimi Writes.......

DeEtta at My Little Corner of the world

Michelle at RAMBLING WOODS

Thom at Thoms Place 4 Well Whatever...

Akelamula at Everything And Nothing

Meridith at The Things We Carried

Dawn at Twisted Sister

Of course there are rules and they are as follows.

1. That you must pass this award to others.

2. Link back to me when you have passed them forward.

3. Write a nice post about this award.

4. You must read this award with a southern accent. I call it southern day where we all have to speak with a southern accent. I know that will be hard for some of you, but for the rest of us, we will be fine. So now, ya'll just enjoy this little ol' award and have fun with it.

5. And of course let your folks know that they have a nice award waiting for them.

Ya'll take care now.

Awards

Sandee at Comedy Plus has generously passed this award on to others. Thank you so much Sandee, but mostly thank you for your friendship in the blogsphere. Someone must have told you that I love awards.

The Friendship Blog Award above implies:

Green: to symbolize the new buddies
Yellow: to represent the guys who are always active
Blue: to symbolize with high performing PR Bloggers

The rules:
Create a post as above
Include a link Giver Award.

Please link back to the givers of these fabulous awards. If you have not read any of the blogs, I encourage you to stop and visit them for amazing writing, laughs and friendship.

This beautiful Butterfly Blogger Award and the Humane award came from Sandee at Comedy Plus . Isn't it fabulous? Yes it is. Thank you so very much for always thinking of me Sandee.

“The Humane Award honors certain bloggers who express kindness, caring and compassion for others. Their blogs are also amazing and are tastefully done on a daily basis. Link back to the person who gifted you with the award and share the love with other bloggers.”

Attack of the Zombie Chickens!

I have received a few more awards. The Zombie Chicken award is from Strawberry Girl's Reflections . If you have not been to her blog, I encourage you to stop by and visit.

Attack of the Zombie Chickens!!!
I have a sneaking suspicion that my Zombie chicken is hidding out under my bed... how else do you explain all of the scratching around down there (er, I guess it could be my cats...).Anyhow...I have had a Zombie Chicken award bestowed upon me by John over at Smoke Rings and Matterings (and the mattering is quite a big part of his blog so go check it out.

As for the award...The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken-excellence, grace, and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse, these amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least five other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by not choosing wisely or not choosing at all.

1. Pam over at Finding Pam

2. Kelsey at Shishi-o-blog (I am sure she's thrilled, I mean who wouldn't want a Zombie Chicken around?)

3. Reggie Girl at Midlife, Meopause, and random stuff

4. Clone Girl at Real Fake

5. Patty at A Diary Left Open

I pass this award on to all of my friends that love chickens as much as I do. OK, you don't have to love chickens. Feel free to grab this award.

Dawn from Twisted Sister, gave Thomm at Thoms Place 4 Well Whatever... and I this award. Feel free to grab this one as well.

Award from Akelamula... Thank you!

Anyway like most awards it comes with rules:"The Honest Scrap award comes with a caveat or 2. Firstly you have to tell your readers 10 things about you they may not know, but that are true. Secondly you have to tag 10 people with the award."I now have to think of 10 things about myself that you may not know, not sure I can do this but I'll try.

I received this lovely award from Akelamua at Everything and Nothing. I feel honored to be amongst such prestigeous company. I salute the others as well.

Connie (Connie Picture That)

Ten facts about me that you might not know.

1. I was a tomboy as a child. I climbed every tree around. I liked that my sister could not climb trees.

2. I loved to fish as a child with my Grandfather. When Hubs and I fished as newlyweds, we argued over who had the best end of the boat.

3. I abhor injustice and prejudice. I always take up for the underdog. It's my natue.

4. I am not afraid to die. I know where I am going.

5. I did not know that I was smart until after I had my first child and returned to college.

8. I am a follower of Christ. I was lost for a long time, until I was found. I am thankful.

9. I studied art in Rome, Italy. It was one of the greatest exeperiences of my life. I spent a summer in Berlin, Germany with my sister and her soon to be ex- husband. It was an eye opening experience to see the Berlin Wall and East Berlin.

10. I had major surgery as a child. I had to drink 8 glasses water and take 20 gigantic pills a day. I knew where I would spend every Friday afternoon at the urologist office. I hated being singled out because I was sick.

Now, I have to pass this award on to (i.e. Tag) ten more bloggers, so here goes. It's not compulsory if you really don't want to it but if you do please let me know so I can read the 10 things about you. Step up to the plate:

My Addictions...

I have been awarded the "Your blog is Fabulous" award by someone that I admire very much, Dawn, at Twisted Sister

Right now at this very second, I am having a CRS (can't remember s**t) moment. I think that my brain is dead from all this unpacking. I can't for the life of me remember how to link all the people together. Please forgive my absentmindedness.

Tah...Dah... A break through...I remember something at last!

Looks like I have remembered how to sorta function again. I will be fast because this may only be temporary.

What I would like to say about Dawn is that she is such a marvelous listener and that is what makes her so uniquely fabulous. She was given this award by none other than the Queen, Mimi Writes....... as well as other very deserving recipients. Dawn in turned passed this award to me. Though I am not sure why? She must know something I don't about myself.

I am suppose to list five of my addictions. But wait, I have so many to choose from? Mmmmm...where should I start. OK, here are my five addictions.

My Five Addictions:

1. I am addicted to this crazy, insane blogging. I sure did not see that coming
2. I am addicted to shoes. A girl can never have too many?
3. I am addicted to being organized, otherwise I could not find my shoes.
4. I am addicted to helping people. Who else is going to help if I don't
5. I am addicted to the outdoors. I would rather be outside any day than stuck inside.

So in turn I will pass this wonderful award on to five of my fellow bloggers that I think will enjoy this award and will want to share their addictions with us. Congrats to these bloggers!

Van Gogh's Ear Award

Akelamula at Everything And Nothing has given me my first award. I wanted to pass it on to some of my favorite blogs. I hope you enjoy it!

Van Gogh's Ear?............
This is the Van Gogh's Ear Award as created by Roger of Idaho Photo This is what he wrote about the Van Gogh's Ear Award:"Every year I like to make up a award and hand it out to people that make a difference in the blogsphere. I like to make it a award for all to enjoy and pass out if one so wants to, I just ask if your going to give it out to link back to me as the creator of the Van Gogh's Ear Award.

"Inspiration of the Van Gogh's Ear Award"
You may know the story of Vincent Van Gogh a well known artist in history. Although a brilliant painter in his later years went quite insane he received the nickname of fou roux ("the redheaded madman"). The most bazaar of Vincent's behavior is when he cut off the lower part of his own left ear lobe, which he wrapped in newspaper and gave to a prostitute named Rachel in the local brothel, asking her to "keep this object carefully. After this he suffered recurrent bouts of mental illness, which led to his suicide July 29, 1890 he was 37 years old. His works of art are priceless.

"The point of this award"
We are all artist in are own way be it art, photography, writing, philosophy, comedy, blogging and we all go a little crazy sometimes. But if you ever feel so crazy to cut off your ear and give it to a prostitute 'Seek Help'!"Always remember you're unique.Just like everyone else. Storyteller. Well I'm not as mad as Van Gogh (yet) but I may be getting there so, before I do I'd like to pass it on to the following people, trying not to duplicate those who have already received it because there's quite a lot! Please accept this in the spirit in which it was given. Disclaimer: I do not think anyone is going to cut their ear off or off themselves.

Jeff B (A Word In Edgewise

Dr. John (Dr. John's Fortress)

Chickie (Skittering Thoughts)

Julie (The Life of a Media Diva)

Muse (XANADU)

Barbara (Writing from the Inside Out)

Please feel free to pass it on to your favourite bloggers mentioning the origin and the sentiments behind it please.
