Today's view from my back yard

Our pond will be just perfect in about three years.

I am so looking forward to that day

This is the deep end of the pond

Slowly but surely filling up

She loves to swim

Suzie knows we dug the pond just for her.

See the bumble bee?

This sun flower is waving to you

I don't know why some are taller than the others?

But I like them a lot.

I ask Hubs to drive for me so I can take some pictures of the back of our land. Luckily, the sunflowers have started to bloom. I wanted you to see how full our pond is getting and see my dog, Suzie swimming. I know...it's small things, but that is what I like.

Dogs and cat

Carmen, our Doberman, chewing her rawhide bone. She is not paying me any attention.Carmen did not get a new bed because she chews them up. She does not use it like the other dogs, except for chewing the stuffing out of the beds. She inherits a gently used bed.

Carmen snooping around.

Bruno is not impressed. He did not get a new bed for Christmas. My other cat is sleeping.

Suzie says nothing is better than a new rawhide bone and a new camoflaged bed. She is always happy! This is Hot Dog's happy face. He likes his new bed too. Can't you tell?

Happy Trails to you

Carmen, my dobberman, Suzie, my yellow lab and Hot Dog, our little mixed dog that will dance in a circle for a dog treat.

Day trip to see another of my best friends, Darlene. Yesterday was her birthday and her husband gave her a little puppy that is a combination between a Schnauzer and a poodle. I am so excited to see her and her new puppy. She is as excited as a child. She has been without a dog for fifteen years.

We will visit, go to lunch and then I am off to see my accupuncturist. My sister, Candy, has been gone all week to La. and will return Saturday. It is ever changing around here. Then Hubs leaves Sunday for another week in south Louisiana. That is all I know for now. This has been a pretty good week for me, except that I miss my sweet sister.

Have a great weekend. My dogs say hello.

Suzie, my yellow lab

Another picture of Suzie, my lab.

She is so very photographic. Don't you think?

She has a great pose for modeling? Say yes.

She is a big ham and loves the camera.

She has such a pretty smile. Say yes.

My dog Suzie

Suzie is so sincere

Suzie is such a ham.

This is my dog, Suzie. Sorry that I cut off her nose. She is
another rescue dog left to fin for herself. She is the reason
that I am giving up Missy. Suzie was abused and was grown
when she came to us. She needs to have a one dog family.

I have not had dogs in twenty years, but I like
them and understand them.

Suzie and Missy yesterday before Missy left. They are
ignoring me.

One of the things I really like about Suzie is her face. She
is so expressive. Yes, that giant shadow is me. I have put
on a few pounds and a really big coat!

No time to myself

It is starting to look like we are a vet's office because of all the critters we have. We had two cats, five chickens and then added one ugly homeless dog named Hot dog, then my dear husband brings home Susie, my yellow lab that was abandoned and left to fin for herself and our newest addition is Missy, a little black lab mixed puppy.

As I type right now, Bruno, my black cat is sitting on the table next to the computer looking down on the new puppy, Missy. I have the puppy in a large plastic box to keep her from chewing everything up. Susie is not more than two feet from me on her rug. I can not escape from them! My cat, Stinky, well I am not sure where she is, but she's in here somewhere and I am sure she will have to get in my face too. My yellow lab, Susie, is so jealous of the new puppy that I can hardly work with the new puppy. They all need so much love and attention.

Last night, new puppy cried all night because she misses her siblings. My husband found three little puppies thrown out on the side of the road in a wet cardboard box. Out of the three, only Missy has survived. It just makes me sick to realize how people can toss out little helpless puppies or any kind of animal without any conscience. Without any regard for life. I can resource a lot of places to find homes for animals. If I can do it, then why can't these idiots do the same. The difference is that I care about animals and I am sick to death of hearing about the numbers of animals that are euthanized every year.

How hard is it to be responsible for your pet? What kind of a freak does this to a helpless animal? I wonder if they treat animals this bad, how do they treat humans? Or for that fact, how do they treat children? People and animals are not disposable or throw aways! It is beyound belief that people can be so cruel.

Hot Dog...

So he won't feel slighted, I am posting the only pic of this dog. No pic bc he can not be still long enough for me to take his pic. He is still a puppy. lol! ha ha!

My morning friends...

This is my morning crew, Bruno, the cat and Susie, my lab.

I do have another cat, Stinky, a screwed up Siamese mix, but she is neurotic and is not always available for pics bc she is having a bad day.

Susie is such a poser. She is not shy.

I never met a dog that loved to pose as much as she does. She is a camera hog, but I love her.

My husband has a crazy Heinz 57 mixed dog named Hot Dog, but he goes to work with him and lives with him in the tin shack (travel trailor). See next post of Hot Dog.

Don't Growl At Me...

I have this beautiful yellow lab, named Susie, and she is so blond.... my blond friends please do not take offense. She needs so much attention BC she was abandoned and abused; that I get BC I was A & A too. This incredible dog is not really a dog but thinks she is a hot sexy female. She really totally thinks she is a person .

Ok, she is a lap dog and a big baby. So needy. My husband found her abandoned in the countryside and he has a big heart, so he brought her home to me bc he knows how needy I am.
This is about the one-hundreth dog or cat that he has brought home through out the years.

She stands up and puts her paws on my shoulders, which sorta makes me feel shorter than I am. I know that I am in trouble when she sits up besides me and gives me this intense glaring look. I don't dare look her in the face bc that is what she wants from me. If I give her eye contact she growls and then barks and then jumps up in my lap. I tell myself not to look, but she will not be ignored. I can see her out the corner of my eyes and say to myself "I will not be growled at and I am not looking at you". So you can guess how that's working?

You can see from the pix posted earlier that she is such a ham and loves the camera. I really do love this dog. I have moved the two cats outside and Susie is in like Flint. Though the cats aren't too happy about that they tolerate her bc they are cats and they are cool. If you have cats, then you know what I mean...
