Food Fun!

We love playing with our food! For St. Patricks day, we made a green dutch baby...it was still YUMMY and the kids loved it!

Violet has discovered straws and with that--smoothies! It did not take too long and she let us know that she LOVED it. Now we split our traditional Costco smoothie by 3...

Notice that our sweet little Violet is still toothless. I love her toothless grins and will miss them when they are gone...and yes, I love her smoothie art! So cute!!

Anxious

So I don't ever remember being so anxious about what gender baby will be arriving! I am dieing to find out the gender of this one. Maybe it is because I know that once we find out some major purging will get to happen? I don't know what it is but I'm very curious. (I almost shelled out $90 at the mall a couple weeks ago!) My ultrasound is March 30-that leaves 14 days. The Chinese Calendar has been correct for all 3 of my children but I do not have any clue when I conceived so I can't totally rely on it this time because it was somewhere in between November and December--Nov would be a boy and Dec would be a girl. I've looked at all the old wives tales...they are always good for a laugh. Anyways, there wasn't much else to blog about...life is super crazy as Ben is on crutches b/c he shredded his calf muscle, and we are about to move but who really wants to hear about that? J/k I will update about Ben soon. But until then you can enjoy my random thoughts...you can always put your guess on the sidebar poll if you want. And I'll let you know as soon as I do.

GROUPON!

I'm a big fan of Groupon! We got a family of 4 trip to the Sacramento Zoo, 4 train tickets and 4 carousel tickets for $25! What a steal! We went on a day that Ben could go and, while the Sacramento Zoo has really gotten pretty pathetic, it was still fun to explore. We started our family date by having a picnic in the park next to the zoo. The kids enjoyed being up close and personal with the animals and we enjoyed getting out and having fun! We finished the date by getting ice cream cones at a place my parents used to go on dates and my grandparents used to take us as kids: Vics Ice Cream. It was a GREAT day!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Xander's preschool had a BIG party for Dr. Seuss' birthday. The kids got to wear the pj's and read books on blankets. They also did a program for the parents--it was a fun day for all!
