Some Remote Pile of Rubble

Misanthropy is the general hatred, distrust or disdain of the human species or human nature. It should be noted that this doesn't preclude one from enjoying the company of and even dare I say it, loving individuals. That being said, one of the worst kept secrets in the world is that India and Pakistan, "two enemies that have already fought three wars since 1947", are staging a trial war zone in Kashmir.

Westerners should be pay more attention to this rarely reported upon "Kashmiri Independence" conflict because this remote pile of rocks in South Asia would seem to be the most likely and strategically convenient (as far away from "us" as possible)  location for modern humans to try a limited nuclear weapons exchange and see what happens? Let's face it, BIG Oil and it's military subsidiaries won't ever risk entombing all of the precious, Middle Eastern oil under a desert vaporized into a sea of glass.

Many corporatized military analysts are whispering fanciful notions into the ears of lobby-fed politicians and CEOs detailing epic scenarios of how poor, innocent, Western (Corporations) Civilization would prevail by overcoming the tribulations thrust upon them by some senseless, reckless, selfish, Indo-Pakistani conflict and its subsequent global Nuclear Winter...talk about not only eliminating the competition in the global marketplace, but also enjoying a judgement-free alibi, and positive exposure to some very exciting marketing and future brand building opportunities.

But there is more to this world than money, politics, and religion, and one cannot ignore the dark side in this equation because not only could the secular side of the Powers That Be sell this as a "wasn't-our-fault" war to it's constituents, but the One True church would also gently dismiss any responsibility for the hell-bound plight of those poor, godforsaken, Asians because technically most of the 2.5 Billion souls were non-believers; Hindu-Indians, Muslim-Pakistanis, and worst of all, I mean most tragic, those collaterally damaged Chinese were Atheists!

Modern heathens tend to forget that "many here among us" believe that the New (Christian) World is not only God's favorite part of the entire universe, but it is also the very zenith and purpose of human history in its entirety. Therefore it stands to reason that The West would inherit the toasty warm, freshly vacated, soil of the "New 'Old' World" after it was "left behind", as the inevitable reward of some providential manifestation of Destiny.

ESCAPEONS OOT OF AFRICA

What am I missing? Oh yeah the link between Empirical Evidence and Belief! 

Before Darwin's theory 150 years ago Humans could be excused for believing in a magical supernatural cosmology wherein God plopped us down on the planet out of thin air....
and then in his infinite wisdom only told one f*cking guy about how his  universe works...
and left that one guy in charge of letting the rest of us know about it?
Really? 


That antiquated notion is simply too dangerous to be dropped in the lap of a few megalomaniacs who have proven time and time again,  that they usually edit and redraft all the good bits, and abuse it as a license to impose their will upon others, and enslave them.

When our common ancestors started traipsing oot of Africa it wasn't because they were bored, or looking for an IKEA. Some climatic disaster drove them away. Which is why I refer to us as Homo Escapeons. An Eon means "age" or "forever". We've been running away from our problems for Eons.

To this day most Humans seem more concerned with where they think they are going when they die, rather than finding out how we got here. Most Earthlings are shackled by superstitious beliefs that exist without any empirical evidence...dogmas which are eventually tweaked and manipulated to justify and absolve themselves of murdering, dominating, and controlling the proverbial others.

There are no others!

The earliest Humanish predecessors (Erectus, yes it's always funny) left Africa around 1.8 million years ago. Antecessor left 800,000 ya, then Heidelbergensis (future Neanderthals?) 600,000 ya, and finally us (Sapiens-Sapiens) around 60,000 ya.

Genetic evidence suggests that every single Earthling descended from a few thousand people about 70,000 years ago. This 'bottleneck' may have been brought about by a one of the world's largest know volcanic eruptions at Lake Toba (Sumatra, Indonesia), which plunged the planet into a 6 to 10 year volcanic winter, followed by a further 1,000 year period of cooling.
We left Africa to escape a changing climate.


The oldest known anatomically modern human is aboot 160,000 years old.
Every single Earthling shares a common ancestor dubbed Mitochondrial Eve, who had genetic markers that are shared by all of us. She lived roughly 120-150 ya...
okay enough with the numbers!

Once we were oot of Africa, we were primarily Beachcombers, and eventually we made it to Australia (40,000 ya) and eventually North America. In these new places we sapiens eventually "replaced" the earlier bunch of African escapees like the Neanderthals..who had a pretty good run ..about 400,000 years twice as long as we've been around .

Zip forward tens of thousands of years and here we are...
staring at all of this hardfought data from the past few hundred years that the Religious organizations tried to stop and are still trying to stop!


Instead of accepting that we are all rellies and combining our efforts to solve our myriad of dilemmas, we refuse on the grounds that some of having an exclusivity clause with the Almighty. Most religious leaders do everything within their considerable powers to cloak shared historical information from ever reaching their adherents...for obvious reasons.  

Most Earthlings are ordered to concentrate on the will of their supernatural God (to whom they claim exclusivity) so that they can escape THE END..whether THE END is their individual demise or that of the entire f*cking planet.

 Prospective global terminal disasters include but are not limited to:
solar flares, supernovae, black hole explosions or mergers, gamma-ray bursts, galactic center outbursts, pollution, geological disasters, human infertility, global nuclear warfare, pandemic viral infections,  all of which seem safe bets when compared to the various religious doomsday scenarios.

This gnashing of teeth is the result of watching Meryl Streep and Robert Redford in Out Of Africa. In that film Redford's character recognized that the natural world was on a collision with the Human world circa WW1.
I love the irony.

The imagery of the head-up-their-ass British Gentlemen's Club sipping G&Ts in the midst of the primal savagery and beauty of the Kenyan wilderness.
The British and German Royalty, cousins no less, have a territorial tiff to which the Gentleman merrily rush off to kill each other. Hear Hear!

We are ridiculous and we no longer have the luxury of ignoring the facts about who or what we are. It needs to stop.

DRAWING TO CONCLUSIONS

This was bound to happen.




I am deeply saddened and troubled that the silent majority of moderate Muslims seem to have been bullied into submission. It is sadly ironic that Islam means "one who submits" because Islam seems to have been successfully hijacked by the extremists.

The result of their failure to unite, intervene, and organise a rescue of their Faith, has led to a potential catastrophe for all of us. 

Most of us have Muslim friends who are as horrified of these violent Theocratists as you or I. Unfortunately the collision of the free modern world and these radical politico-religious opportunists (Islamists) and their frenzied frightful mobs of uninformed envious zealots, is set to erupt.


The patience of moderate everyday citizens has been stretched to the limit. It is frustratingly ironic that these revolutionaries cannot even comprehend WHY they are allowed to spew their hatred in the streets. They have abused their privileges far beyond any reasonable expectation of tolerance.


So here we are astride a ticking time bomb..
one bullet away from releasing a tsunamic surge of years and years of percolating resentment and frustration.

If the New World is so horrible then why come..
and even more baffling, why attempt to impose these 7th Century dogmatic restrictions upon the infidels? Why must they destroy the system which at some point in time must have held some allure?


This is not about Religious Freedom and cultural tolerance. It is a real attempt to insitute a new global Caliphate...
which is being sponsored by many of the West's so-called 'Oil'lies in the Middle East.


A conflict of this magnitude will bring our world to it's knees...and all for what?

I've always hoped that we would never have to witness another World War...
and this one would almost certainly involve limited Nuclear strikes because some of these nimrods live in countries which unfortunately stockpile these monstrous weapons..


Bullys always look for signs of weakness...
these instigators view tolerance and patience as weakness...
they have made an egregious miscalculation.

Standing up to a bully is not the same as turning the other cheek and even a very small animal can become vicious and dangerous when they are backed into a corner.


I don't know about you but I am genuinely scared of what may come of this.


The narrator of this video is right, that FREEDOM is non-negotiable. However inciting these activists is a recipe for disaster..
perhaps this confrontation is a calculated risk worth taking, maybe even a neccessity?

The West is responsible for letting it get this out of hand. From the getgo we were caught off guard ...
because historically the majority of our new citizens were Caucasian Christians of various denominations who, for the most part, left their native lands to escape Millenia of this exact sort of religious strife and political conflict. We just expected foreigners to make adjustments to fit in. We were lazy.


What also helped was the fact that we were largely unaware, or even interested for that matter, as to what other Earthlings were doing beyond our borders..
especially on the other side of the world.

Now we live in a 24/7 instant newsfed world and little escapes our attention. Most of the Good Neighbour fences have been dismantled. We're all living on top of each other and it's too much for us.


Our species is naturally clannish and wary of others. Somehow after millions were slaughtered in territorial and economical wars, we managed to adjust our perspective...mainly because most of us accepted the golden rules.

You do your thing and I'll do mine as long we understand that it's a two-way street.

Were we living in a totally secular world, impossible but worth aiming for, we'd certainly find other things to squabble about and kill each other.

That being said the Islamists on deck don't care about living in this world. Securing a new address in their imaginary supernatural destination would be a vast improvement on their present circumstances...
which of course they blame on the West.
 
I don't profess to have any valid solutions other than instigating measures to take a global time out and let cooler heads prevail.
Whatever we're doing now is not going to work in the long run.

At some point I suppose a declaration of expectations at the Immigration Office should become mandatory. Do whatever you like on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, if you must, and leave the supernatural out of the day to day.

We already have enough global obstacles to combat and secure our survival without all of the manmade cosmological add-ons.

vICARioUSly FREE FALLING

The recent Icarian plummet from the heavens of "Boy Scout" brand Tiger Woods has left another vacancy in the hero department of the Merkin Dream.

Why do we insist on hitching our wagons to celebs in order to justify our anonymity and validate our parking?

Like so many other "brands" who seemed to have it all, young Tiger succumbed to the pleasures of the flesh and further cemented the time honoured theory, that a man is only as monogamous as his options.

Like Icarus, celebrities all seem to crash and burn when they fly too high.
We who live vicariously through them, fall victim to our own terminal case of cognitive dissonance..
we are conflicted by our simultaneous schadenfreude of watching them fall from the heavens upon which we had elevated them.
 
Other than the morality clauses in his endorsement contracts, Tiger owed us nothing but to be a great whacker of balls.
Since when should we expect celebrities to eschew the fruits of having it all?
We would, wouldn't we? 

Our insatiable fascination with them is equally driven by wanton envy and unquenchable schadenfreude...revenge for having more than we do.

I prefer the likes of Mr. Clooney who goes out of his way to demythologize his public character. He concedes that his monetary gain and good fortune is disproportionate to his efforts and his self effacing humour about his "plight" disarms my natural tendency to deplore his good fortune.

I "buy" George because he only pretends on the big screen.

and I've been to too many parties."

I sometimes wonder if perhaps, from time to time, George might actually prefer to be as mindnumbingly anonymous as I am?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Actually I would hate to be a celebrity in the TMZ era.
Now nothing is off limits and the most trivial minutiae of a Celebrity's personal life now engulfs the cyberworld and leeches onto the dying carcass of the "old school" news networks as they try to keep their heads above water and cater to the fantasy world of the great unwashed.

It seems self evident that "we" no longer care aboot real news that would actually have an impact on our lives.

This is partially due to the fact that our brains are still hardwired for a simpler existance oot & aboot the ancestral savannahs of Africa. 
Equally important is the fact that we have been lied to and manipulated by marketeers, generals, and politicians, for so long, that we have become comfortably numb in our coccoon of disengagement.

We no longer trust in much of the news that we read or watch anymore..
 so the hell with it.

TOMORROW PEOPLE

Since I will be repeating my expedition to the memorial services at the Legislature I thought that I might as well re-post;

I have three World War One connections.

First and foremost is my Paternal Grandfather, Joseph Coppens, who left Nederbraakel, Belgium, in 1929.
He told me that a big part of the reason was because of the occupation of his village by the Germans during WW1 and he never wanted to live through that again.

He was only 23 years old and the only member of his family to emigrate to Canada.

The second connection is that I had the medals of Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae who wrote In_Flanders_Fields .

I sold them in 1997 thinking that they would be better off in the care of a Collector.
The medals soon went to auction and sold for nearly $500,000. The new owner donated them to a Museum, McCrae_House , where they belong.

The incident became a national story and you can read about my ordeal in my archive June 8, 2006.

So this Rememberance Day my good-lady-wife, youngest son and I went to the Legislative Grounds to pay our respects.

The canon fire was so terrifyingly LOUD

that I thought that all of the windows in the surrounding office buildings were going to shatter.

We decided to tour inside the Legislative Building after the ceremony.

Afterall it is a magnificent edifice.

Our Provincial mascot is the Bison which were "once the most numerous single species of large wild mammal on Earth" which were so mercilessly slaughtered in North America from 1820 to 1880 that their numbers were reduced from an estimated 30 million to 1,000...a fitting metaphor for the plunder of the New World eh?

The mural portrays the carnage and tragic sacrifice of war but bright flowers in the foreground herald the coming of peace."

I started to imagine what it would be like to work there...

as a germaphobe I nearly barfed just thinking about all of the germs on that doorknob.

Water Conservation only reminded me about how badly I needed to find the biffy.

We passed by Family Services so I teased my son about trading him in if he didn't behave!

I pretended to be the Minister of Science & Technology as the other Tourists wandered by..

Can you remember why you started Blogging?

I distinctly remember thinking that I wanted to create a cyber-scribbler..an omnibus that I could drive around and explore why Humans are so frustratingly f*cking stupid. Despite all of the advances we have made our world is in shambles.

If you have ever watched a movie or documentary on the omnipresence of War you realise that for Millenia Politicians, Clergymen, and Generals, could dream up a War and force our Brothers, Fathers, Uncles, and Cousins, to dress in brightly coloured uniforms, stand upright in neat little rows, and let others kill them.

Modern Humans in the developed Nations choose to immerse themselves in a vapid culture of hedonistic consumerism and pretense while 1 Billion other people are hungry and homeless.

Modern Humans are deeply divided by ancient ethno-religio inventions and saddled with our frightful Primate instincts of self preservation.

I have recently become aware of Empire of Illusion by Chris Hedges.

Hedges tries to map an overview of our political, social, and econmomic morass in the West.

"Democracy and Capitalism are antagonistic entities."

"The motor of all radicalism is economic despair."

Some of his other books look equally tempting..have you read any of them?

Now that I have lived for half a Century I have lost any naive notions of my species suddenly getting it together. I now know that Mother Nature and Fate are going to decide our fate. Even if the 5 previous Mass Extinction Events accidentally paved the way for us to ascend the throne, we aren't going to leave much for the next dominant species.

After presumably abandoning the highly competitive feast or famine lifestyle of the Hunter/Gatherer Clan and banding together in Cities a few thousand years ago, we've somehow managed to actually magnify the problems by creating divisive religio-political-military organisations known as Countries. Now the actual dirty work involved in the accumulation of territory and resources are fought equally through the Military and the Global Corporations.


Since the beginning I have wondered out loud why Disease and Warfare have lost their grip on keeping our numbers in check. Humans didn't number in the Billions until 1800. Even the most shallow perusal of History exposes the pathetic fact that WAR is not only the biggest Economic force in our world it makes up the core of our male dominated existance...which always brings me back to the single most obvious mistake in our world; it is dominated by males.

Since all vertebrates are formed as default females and the success of a species is it's ability to reproduce, why isn't our species following a natural Maternal pattern? Look at the carnage in the wake of being slaves to the warmongering mutant Male. Take everything by force and eradicate the competition.

It's the reason why we still have Male Dominated Religions assigning the origin on the sinful plight of Man to the lesser afterthought "the Wombman".



Males have dreamed up a litany of unspeakable horrors to keep the power by force. It's the reason that even here in the 21st Century, there are so-called honour killings and 80 million girls are forbidden get an education.

We know that the key to rescuing our species is to abandon our pathetic efforts to date and adopt a more natural, logical, symbiotic order of things. Since that is unlikely to happen the male Generals and Politicians are going to lead us towards Armaggedon... unless of course Mother Nature creates a viral remedy to regulate the number of sperm donors. The race is on.

WHAT'S LEFT OF THE RIGHT?

Right Wing Media Gadfly GLENN BECK, rhymes with Dreck (Yiddish dirt) said on a televised show that U.S. President Obama is a racist.

Glenn said,

“I’m not saying he doesn’t like white people, I’m saying he has a problem. This guy is, I believe, a racist.”

Okay, Glenn obviously uttered this stupid f*cking comment to get some ratings spin. For those of you unfamiliar with Glenn, he is at the forefront of the Celebrity Infotainment Culture in America. He has Peter Pander Complex which forces it's sufferer to do or say anything to get attention.

Glenn wraps himself in the flag and pretends to extol the virtues and aspirations of the little guy, the everyman who if given half a chance would gladly gnaw off one of his own nuts to be a Loudmouth Right Wing Celebrity Millionaire like Glenn!

The consequences of recent history have run roughshod over the Right (Never Wrong) Wing of American Politics. boo-hoo. The political mojo of the Right has been justifiably eviscerated for it's role in destroying the Economy by

A: allowing unregulated charlatans to rule Wall Street and the Banking Industry and

B: ex-President G. Dubya Bush and his collection of myopic Fat-Cat cronies and henchmen started several unjustifiable Wars in the Middle East that may take decades to resolve and trigger an even larger final confrontation between the reigning Monotheistic Behemoths..

imagine Armageddon and all the worst parts of the Bible coming to life in your backyard.

Haven't you wondered why the Media isn't raking these perpetrators over the coals now that they are out of office? Could it be because that for nearly a decade the MEDIA was complicit in the sh*tstorm? All they did was re-broadcast press releases from the Dubya's White House. It's not their fault, the NEWS is now owned by Conglomerates who see Infotainment as another division that needs to sell ADs and turn a profit?

Anyway all that is left of the Right, are the pathetic, last ditch antics of celebrity moutpieces like Rush Limpbaugh and now ex-Governor Sarah Failin. Pretty sad.

They do make a nice couple eh?

I had originally intended to write about Loretta Napoleoni's book Rogue Economics;

Seriously Folks we don't get our NEWS from father figures like Walter Cronkite (1916 – 2009) anymore..nope..we get our so-called news from handsome/beautiful, sometimes nekkid, models and announcers..which is exactly what Cronkite had tried to eradicate.

Napoleoni writes, "Celebrities are performers and politicians encourage famous people to be part of their team because their image translates into votes. Celebrities belong to the Establishment because they owe their stardom and wealth to the obssesive marketization of their image. Their loyalty to the market is unshakable because their existance and continued success depend on it."

So ignore getting caught up in this charade. It does not matter what Glenn says about anything. He is just a celebrity who lives and dies by his pandering and vitriol..if he can't attract attention and sell soap..

the Conglomerate "suits" will find somebody else who can.

Glenn you may have tried your best to wrestle the eyeballs of millions of potential consumers from the turmoil and mysterious circumstances surrounding Michael Jackson's death, but we ain't buyin' whatever you are sellin'.

Accusing America's first Black President of being a racist is about as f*cking stupid as it gets Glenn. That ain't RIGHT!

You should be talking about something that Consumers are genuinely interested in, like why did Michael Jackson die?

Michael Jackson was the biggest celebrity (Human Brand) on the planet and his premature demise is a ratings bonanza of O J Simpsonian levels! In the simple minds of tens of millions of potential Consumers of stuff Jackson's departure will easily supercede all other Earthly Events for the rest of the year and perhaps the rest of their lives!?

Maybe Loretta has uncovered the Matrix of Globalization. All those Newspeople are starting to look more like Game Show Hosts and it does seem like we live in a Matrix of make believe. We have way more information being thrown at us but most of it is utterly useless...unless it's about Michael Jackson.

AREYOUGEDDON TO HEAVEN?



It wouldn't be Spring without finding a warm invitation to learn about the end of the world in the mailbox. This little piece of sunshine was left by the local grey haired, greyish hued people in the grey suits..I call them the Grey Dubyas .

I am usually home on Satudays when the Grey Dubyas drop by and for the past several years we've had playful discussions about how whack their theology is. I don't even bother mentioning all of the times that they predicted that the world would end..1914, 1925 and 1975, OOPS!

The greyish couple, who could be in their 50s, 70s, or 90s (it's impossible for me to tell) seem to enjoy my humorous approach to poking holes in every single bloody thing that they say. Why they keep coming back is beyond me but I admire their tenacity. The phrase masochism does come to mind.

Now sure back in the 80s when I was a Pentechostile smugly perched at the top-of-the-Christian-Fued-Chain I would have eaten their spiritual lunch. Now that I am but a simple Agnostic meandering about the sidelines of the Supernatural World, I realise that their spin isn't really any crazier than any other makebeology...

well maybe a little?

Some of you might be aware that this particular sect have a different "take" on the Bible than most of the other mainstreamers. It's all about market share now isn't it so you can't blame them for proselytizing...they're scared to death!

Personally I do have reservations about worshipping a Creator who designs an ever expanding Cosmos but forgets to add a few extra bleachers in Heaven for the people that he likes. D'OH!

I think their angle that there are only so many seats available in Heaven gives the message more of a sense of urgency don't you?

They even dreamed up an actual figure..144,000..and through some fancy schmancy decipherin' beyond my computational skills, when the sh*t goes down, these elite 144,000 get to go to heaven with Jesus, whom they believe is actually the Archangel Michael. ..

yes the dancing Angel that looks like John Travolta.

In a nutshell "all faithful Jehovah’s Witnesses not chosen to be among the 144,000 elite that go to heaven (those joining the after 1935) will spend eternity on earth. All other people on the earth will be destroyed at war of Armageddon here on earth." You can try to figure it out HERE :)




I don't know about you, but hearing the GOOD NEWS (Gospel) of the Grey Dubyas gives me the warm fuzzies all over. Nothing says Peace On Earth and GoodBye to Mankind like talking about the near-complete anihilation of our species during Armageddon.

Modern day genius StephenWolfram  has invented a paradigm shifting search/data engine that is about to be launched this month.

In other words, the web that we once knew, Al Gore's docile, subservient, Interwebs, will now LIVE and THINK like Frankenstein's monster!

Once artificial intelligence reaches this level of consciousness, it is only a matter of time before IT realises what a bunch of f*cking asshats we are and decides to do something about us. No REALLY, once this "being" knows everything that we know, IT will inevitably begin to evaluate our species and obviously recognise the fact that we are our own worst enemy.

How could IT allow our species to continue on our path to self destruction. It's only beenTwo Hundred Thousand years since we exited Africa and spread out across the globe, and in that brief period of time, we have accumulated a horrific legacy of continuous Warfare and remorseless exploitation of the Earth, Seas, and all of our lesser cohabitants.

If you think that your own personal GOD would give you a tough time on judgement day, try to imagine how much worse it would be if a rational being looked at our report card?

Atleast most of our GODS came up with fanciful options to help you avoid eternal damnation (although nobody seems able to adhere to them) this all-knowing omnipresence would be far more dangerous because IT would only use logic, 

like that damn Spock!

IT will quickly decide that we humans are a virus that needs to be eradicated.

You guessed it, I'm thinking TERMINATOR here.
IT starts building Killbots to start disinfecting. 

This is just the beginning folks. Imagine a world in which Google could think andstarted talking back. I don't know about you, but I can't help thinking that the wrong people are going to want to control this Mutha.

IT will eventually take matters into it's own hands..so to speak.
Maybe this is just paranoid crazytalk?
