Earth is not really a “live” album at all. For an album recorded while touring a collection of songs about food awareness, there is very little organic or even natural about Earth.
At a certain point, we hear crows and frogs chiming in during the human applause occasionally (and seemingly arbitrarily) thrown at the end of some tracks. Neil Young released a new album, entitled EARTH, on June 17thvia Reprise Records. The album features performances of songs from a range of Young's albums,including last year's The Monsanto Years, 1990's Ragged Glory, and 1970's After the Gold Rush.The audio was captured during Young's 2015 tour with The Promise of the Real, fronted by LukasNelson (vocals/guitar) and Micah Nelson (guitar, vocals) - Willie Nelson's sons. The tour includedYoung performing solo and with the band for a full electric show.
A new take on some of Young's most beloved songs, EARTH features the live recordings, along withadded musical overdubs, as well as sounds of the earth, such as city sounds like car horns, soundsof insects, and animal sounds from bears, birds, crickets, bees, horses, cows - creating a verystrange, yet beautiful atmosphere.
"Ninety-eight uninterrupted minutes long, EARTH flows as a collection of 13 songs from throughoutmy life, songs I have written about living here on our planet together," says Young. "Our animalkingdom is well represented in the audience as well, and the animals, insects, birds, and mammalsactually take over the performances of the songs at times."

Born December 25, 1945, Folkestone, Kent, Noel Redding was a member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience from its formation in 1966 until he left in 1969.
He was hired in as a bass player, reportedly due in some part to his look (a huge afro and his trademark granny glasses), despite his real desire to continue as a guitarist. In addition to his work in the Experience, Redding formed and played guitar in Fat Mattress, who released two albums in the late '60s and early '70s, and was involved in Road and the Noel Redding Band.
In the mid-'70s, the Noel Redding Band did two albums for RCA, three tours of Holland, two tours of England, one tour of Ireland, and a ten week tour in America. Residing in County Cork, Ireland, in a house purchased from his Experience earnings, however, he claimed to no longer receive payment for his time with the band. "I was forced to sign away my royalties in 1974," he said, "I even had to sell the bass I used during that time, for $16,000." Redding has since written a book which has been compiled over the years from his diaries and legal files, entitled "Are You Experienced?'' It was published in 1996 by a small London firm called Fourth Estate Books, and includes some previously unpublished photographs.
In May of 2003 Redding was found dead in his home, he was 57

200 copies of this 1978 private pressing were actually produced.
This is a great recording, full of prog keyboards, synths and guitars. The lyrics are dark and mystical, and there’s a brooding, ethereal feel to proceedings.
An obscure rarity and a musical gem. Highly recommended.

This is the fourth record by Pete Brown and Phil Ryan, who have worked together on and off since Phil joined Pete’s band Piblokto in 1970. This time they have used their working band, Psoulchedelia, for this latest venture. It is an organic mixture of original songs, with elements of soul, blues and jazz.

The story :
Peter Ronald Brown (25-12-1940 – 19-5-2023) was an English performance poet, lyricist, and singer.
the First Real Poetry Band brought Brown to the attention of the band Cream. Originally, he was seen as a writing partner for drummer Ginger Baker, but the group quickly discovered that he worked better with bassist Jack Bruce. Of the situation, Bruce later remarked: "Ginger and Pete were at my flat trying to work on a song but it wasn't happening. My wife Janet then got with Ginger and they wrote 'Sweet Wine' while I started working with Pete."
Together, Brown and Bruce wrote many of Cream's songs, including the hits "I Feel Free", "White Room" and "SWLABR"; Brown, Bruce and Clapton also wrote "Sunshine of Your Love"
After the break-up of Cream, Bruce and Brown continued to write songs together. Brown wrote the lyrics for most of Bruce's solo albums.
Brown formed Pete Brown and His Battered Ornaments in 1968.
Later on he formed "Piblokto!" after Brown's dismissal from the Battered Ornaments, and was active between 1969 and 1971. The original Piblokto! members were; Brown on vocals, Laurie Allan on drums, Jim Mullen on guitar, Roger Bunn on bass and Dave Thompson on organ. Most of their releases were for Harvest Records.
