CCEE Goes Fishing

I apologize for the 'flash' effect, making the lower edge a bit bright.

Liz continues as our CCEE Stampers Challenge with week.  Here is her challenge......

Hi, It's Liz again with this week's challenge. The month of August is National Catfish Month. Fishing is a year round sport and hobby around where I live, especially saltwater fishing. So, for the challenge this week, find a fish, or someone fishing and it might make a perfect masculine card for your stash!!

I used a fav stamp from 100 Proof Press.  Just love this fishing silhouette stamp.  I heat embossed the image and then sponging on the water and sky colors.  After doing that I realized how well the colors matched one of my tartan plaid papers from Joanna Sheen.  I added a touch of black, a bit of piercing, and a sentiment from MFT.

Be sure to stop in to see the other fab creations at the CCEE Blog.

AND

Once again I had Blogger issues this weekend, so I am late in sharing my Crazy4Challenges card once again.

(I will be going back to 'fill in color' in a couple of spots on the petals.  My peepers were
obviously not working well that day.)

Crazy for Sketches

It's the third Saturday of the month, so that means we have a Sketch Challenge this week! Karen Aicken is our Crazy4Challenges hostess with an easy sketch for you. Our Guest Designer is Caroline Counsell - Stampin' Caz.

Once again I grabbed my fav hydrangea stamp from SU and die cut that panel with oval Spellbinder dies.  I then stamped the sentie and die cut an Impression Obsession bow.  I stamped two border stamps from JustRite to make my upper panel.  Added a touch of bling to the bow, colored the flower with Copics, and it was done.  I did round off the corners too with my Marvy corner rounder.

Be sure to stop in at the Crazy4Challenges Blog to see the various creations made using this same sketch.

Crazy for Sketches

It is the third Crazy4Chllenges challenge for May, so it is sketch week.  Barbara has a great sketch,  created by Frances, for us to play with this week.

I used a fairly new Memory Box die to ccreate the negative blossoms.  The designer papers used are all froom Papertrey Ink along with the matching cardstock.  The sentiment is from Art Stamps.  I added a heart brad along with two smaller circle brads, and that is about it.

Be sure to stop in to the Crazies Blog to see the many ways that the DT used the same sketch and yet came up with fabulously varied results.

Crazy for Emeralds

It is a new month, and, therefore, the Crazy4Challenges DT has a new hhostess.  Here is Barbara's challenge for us this week.....
Hi, and welcome to a whole new month of Crazy 4 Challenges! Barbara here and I'm your hostess this month. Since May is my birth month, and the emerald is May's gem stone, let's use emerald on our cards or projects this week. Anything else goes, as long as you use emerald green somewhere.

We are tickled PINK to have Wanda Cullen of Cullen-ary Creations as our Guest Designer this month--be prepared to be WOW-ed by what Wanda has in store for us :)

I have used one of my favorite retired SU stamps.  Seems like I pick up and use it once a week lately.  To make it a bit different than my others I went blue instead of pink or red.   It may not seem it, but there is an emerald color on the leaves in the darker shading.   This card will join others in my gift stash as I have three gift collections of all occasion cards to finish in May.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the fab creations of our DT and our talented guest designer.

Crazy for Color

Rebecca continues as the Crazy4Challenges April hostess.  For this week she has given us a color challenge.  We were to use the photo above as our inspiration.  I ended up using two greens, white, and violet with a pop of black.

I have recently invested in some Sue Wilson dies and decided to play with them for this challenge.

The Crazies Are Wild for Flowers

Rebecca Ednie is the Crazy4Challenges hostess for April.  For another week we are thrilled to have the very fabulous Teresa Kline from Paperie Blooms joining us.  Here is Rebecca's challenge for this week.

April Showers bring May flowers! Please use some springtime flowers on your card or project this week! I can't wait to see all of your daffodils, hyacinths, tulips, crocuses, cherry blossoms and all the others I've not listed!

I used an old SU stamps along with Tim Holtz watercolor crayons.  For a first try, it didn't come out too bad.  I have a long way to go with watercoloring techniques, but I keep trying.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the garden of flowers created by the DT.

Spring Captures the CCEEers Attention

Anne continues as the April hostess for the CCEE Stampers Challenge.  Here is her challenge for the week.

Spring brings lots of changes to our landscapes.  Your challenge this week is to make a scenic card...and because I am the hostess, be sure to add some RED!

I usually cut out and create a dimensional scene, but today I went in a different direction.  Once again I forgot to write down the names of the stamp companies, but I can check them out iif you want to know.  Just leave a comment and I'll get back to you.  I colored with Copics and used a cloud template for my clouds.

Thanks for stopping in......be sure to take a trip to the CCEE Blog to see the spring scenes created by this talented group of friends.

Crazy for Sketches

This week is the third Crazy4Challenges for this month so it is a sketch.  I just love the sketch but must admit that I forgot the element on the left side of the main image.

I used a dainty oval die from MFT along with a beautifully intricate lace border die from Joanna Sheen's Signature Dies.  What a wonderful die....intricate and yet cut beautifully with just one pass through my Cuttlebug.  What appears to be black pearls on my card are actually different sized SILVER embellishments.

CCEEers Celebrate Eiffel Tower Day

Frances continues as the CCEE Stampers Challenge hostess.  Here is her last challenge for the month.

According to the Days of the Year web site today is Eiffel Tower Day. So for our challenge this week let's celebrate all things Parisian …. It could be the Eiffel Tower, French Poodle; Berets; Champagne; Red, White & Blue Color Combo etc.

As you have probably guessed, I went with the colors of the flag.  I am working on two gift stashes of all occasion type cards, so this is one more for the stashes.

I, once again, forgot to write down the company for the stamped image.  If you want to know just ask in a comment.  The sentiment is from MFT.  I used a MS border punch along with my Copics and piercing tools.

Please be sure to stop in at the CCEE Blog to see the fabulous French-inspired creations by this DT.

Crazies Go Crazy for PURPLE

Welcome to another Crazy4Challenges challenge. Frances is back with our final challenge of the month..... didn't this month fly by quickly!

Before we get onto this week's challenge we would like to thank Sandy Diller for being our Guest Designer for March, we have loved having her play with us this month.

Here is Frances's challenge for the week.

According to the Days of the Year web site the 26th March is Purple Day.  Purple Day is a celebration aimed at raising worldwide awareness of epilepsy, a condition that affects over 65 million people globally. For our challenge this week include the color purple in your creations.

I used the Sketch Challenge sketch from this week as the design for my card.  I didn't have time to play this week.  I used a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms for the flower.  I added a bit of bling and some twine.  I made the horizontal layer by punching a MS punch on both sides.  I also did a bit of paper piercing (as usual).....

Be sure to stop at the Crazies Blog to see the fabulous PURPLE creations by this talented crew of Crazies.

Crazy for Sketches

It is the third Saturday of the month, so the Crazy4Challenges stampers are playing with a sketch this week.

I used a floral stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms.  The sentiment is from MFT (I think).  I think the rest of the creative process is self explanatory.

Be sure to stop in to the Crazies Blog to see the fabulous and varied creations inspired by this sketch.

BE HAPPY even when you are BLUE

Frances is our CCEE Stampers Challenge hostess for the month of March.  Here is this week's challenge.....

Today is "I want to Be Happy Day" … who doesn't want to be happy :) and tomorrow is Dress in Blue Day (my favorite color). So for our cards this week let's include the word "Happy" somewhere on your card and also include the color blue.

I used this floral stamp from Flourish and the happy sentiment from My Favorite Things.  I added some piercing and some embossing, but otherwise keeping it pretty simple.

In 1995 Massachusetts Governor William Weld declared February 28 Floral Design Day to honor educator Carl Rittner, the founder of the Rittner School of Floral Design. Let’s take this week in the dead of winter to do some paper and ink floral designs!

I used a floral image from Penny Black, a lacy border stamp from JustRite, and a sentiment from ??????.

Crazy for Red and Pink

It is Saturday and time for a Crazy4Challenges challenge.  Here is the challenge for today in our hostess's own words......Peggy's challenge is......

Hello Crazy 4 Challenges Fans!! Glad you came by for this week's challenge!

Of course tomorrow is the sweetest of sweetest days of the year. I am sure we will be seeing a lot of pinks and reds. The challenge today is to make a monochromatic card using pinks and/or reds.

I went with a much used stamp from SU.  I just love its boldness and simplicity.  the bloom was heat embossed with red embossing powder.  The sentiment was heat embossed in black and is from a JustRite Papercrafts set.  I created the frame with a pierced rectangle die from MFT.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the red/pink monochromatic creations by the rest of this very talented team and our guest designer, Vicki Dutcher.

Crazies Play with the Kite Shape

Happy Saturday!

It is time to kick off the February challenges! Peggy is the Crazy4Challenges hostess with the mostest for February, and our guest designer is Vicki Dutcher from All I Do Is Stamp
I am sure you will enjoy her fabulous creations this month!

Now onto this week's challenge......

National Kite Flying Day is coming up on the 8th so the challenge is to use a kite or a kite shape on your card.

I used a silhouette image from I Brake for Stamps (I think).  I used a stencil from my scrapbooking days to sponge in the kite shape on my card.  I then pierced around the outer edges of the sponged kite-shaped area.  With heat embossing, after masking the area, I applied the image to the sponged area.

Now....be sure to stop in to the Crazies Blog to see the kite and kite-shaped creations by the rest of this talented team.

Popping Up with the Crazies

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time again for the  Crazy4Challenges DT.  Frances has a great challenge for us this week.......

The 19th January was National Popcorn Day, so let's add some 'POP' to our cards be it by creating a card that incls the theme popcorn; creating a Pop Up Card; just Popping up your image using foam tape or just adding a Pop of color to a black and white card.

I used a favorite retired SU stamp for my image.  I popped up the 'spotlighted' panel which was colored with Copics.  The sentiment was from MFT.

Be sure to check out the popped creations by the rest of the DT at the Crazies Blog.

Crazies Are Square

Hi....this is my last week as the November hostess for the Crazy4Challenges.  The following is my challenge for the team (and YOU if you would like to play along.  If so, visit the Crazies Blog to get the details.

Tomorrow, November 29, is National Square Dancing Day.  To help celebrate this day, think ‘square’.  Make a square card (sorry, Barb) OR use square elements on your non-square card.

As this is the last challenge of November, we would like to thank our guest designer, Karen Dunbrook, for sharing her fabulous talents with us this month.

I used the same stamp set from JustRite Designs that I used a couple of weeks ago, but this time I used it as a black line drawing instead of coloring it.  I also used a square fancy frame die to bring the focus to it.  I also added a scored border to the bast card, but that doesn't show very well in the picture.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see just how 'square' this DT can get....

Crazies Play with the Sketch

I, Joanne/jojot, am the hostess for the Crazy4Chalenges DT in November.  Since this is our third challenge of the month, it is a sketch challenge.

I stayed pretty true to the sketch and kept it simple, using designer papers for two of the elements.  I added a simple Penny Black stamp and sentiment.  I added piercing and brads.  The image panel was die cut with a Spellbinders die.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see all the fabulous creations made with this sketch.
