Keeping It White with the CCEE

Anne continues to give the CCEE Stampers some wonderful challenges this month.  Today's honors the many brides of June.  She explained that June was called marriage month back in the Middle Ages as people were clean in June after their YEARLY bath in May.  So.....to keep it clean, we are to make all white cards.

No stamps were 'hurt' in the creation of this card.  I used a Spellbinder die and two Sizzix embossing folders.......and that was that!!!  This card will go into a stash I am making for a dear friend who always appreciates the cards I give her to use.  For this reason I did not include any sentiment.  She will be able to use it for any occasion.

I love White on White cards, so I can't wait to visit the CCEE Blog to see the spectacular creations I am sure will be on display.  You can also find the details on how YOU can play along with us.

The Crazies Get in 'Shape'!!!

Betty has given the Crazy4Challenges  DT a shapely challenge this week.  She asked us to make cards that had a shape other than the normal square or A-2.  I went 'wonky'.  I used a set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for my image and sentiment.  I kept this clean and simple and just added some ribbon and a bow.

Now be sure to check out the 'shapely' creations at the Crazies Blog.  I am sure you will be inspired to 'get in shape' with us.

Shaping Up with Totally Stampalicious

Are you ready for another Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge???  This week the challenge is to get 'shaped.'.....Well, actually it is to use any shape other than a normal A2 or square card.  I used my Spellbinder dies to create my card.  I used this sweet balleriina set from Totally Stampalicious' Bugaboo Line.  She makes me smile.  The card itself is pretty easy-peasy.

Now you need to get on over to the TS Blog to see the fab creations of the rest of the team AND to see how YOU can play along with us.  Remember we have more inspiration than ever as the DT has new and fabulous members.  Check them out at the blog.

No Corners Allowed

This week, the Tea Party challenge is to make a round card --you'll have to come in the back door if you have corners on your card. (And...they say it smells back there....lol!!!)  The suggested destination for our cards this week is Suart, Florida.  I will be sending it to Sandy, a friend of a friend of fellow teapotter Charlene (Cookiebaker) who is currently undergoing chemo for her second bout with breast cancer, and has faced many other challenges in recent years.  I hope it makes her smile!!!

I used a bargain Just Rite set I bought at the recent stamp convention.  And.....with the help of a very special friend who stamps '4' fun in CA (hint, hint), it was easy with the gift of a stamp handle for the set.  I added some Primas, a Zia pearl flourish (cut into two pieces), some MS punched branches, and a paper doily.

If you have time, it would be wonderful if you could join us on Tuesdays for this challenge AND send the cards to brighten the days of people facing all sorts of challenges.  It brings a smile to them and an even bigger smile to yourself.

A Challenging Day......

Silke is our hostess for the Crazy4Challenges this week.  She issued a color challenge this week -- pink, kraft, turquoise, brown.  My immediate reaction was......'Ah, this should be an easy one'.....and it should have been......but somehow my pink, kraft, brown, turquoise mojo had disappeared.  Out of three cards I made, this was my fav, but......well.....can't say it is exactly my best....IYKWIM!!!!  I embossed the kraft layer to look like siding on a house, but not sure if that translates in reality.  Oh well....I love the window and the sentiment.....lol!!!

Be sure to check out some spectacular creations at the Crazy4Challenges blog.

As I have admitted in the past, I admire the shaped cards that everyone makes, but I rarely do a round or other shaped card.  So the Speedy's Friends Challenge this week, which was to make a round card with 3 pastel colors, 3 bling, and one image, surely challenged me.  Thanks, Karen for once again making me work outside of my comfort zone.  (As I posted this, I realized it looks like I have TWO images on this card........I just don't know where that butterfly came from?????.....LOL!!!!....sorry, I was a bad girl!!!)

The images and sentiment are from Mark's Finest Papers.  The set is called Brick Wall.

Now hop on over to the Speedy's post to see the wonderful round cards by the rest of the team.

Verve Simple Shaper

I didn't have a lot of stamping time today, but I really wanted to participate in this particular Verve challenge 'cuz my dear friend Tosh is the hostess. Considering the many stamps I own, for some reason I only have two Verve sets. One of them, however, is a fav cupcake set and that is what I used for this quick shape card. Tosh's challenge was to make a card of some shape other than the standard A2 card.

Hope you all had a great day. I enjoyed some time in the pool (indoors of course) after a very longggggggggggggg wait for bloodwork at the hospital today. I really thought that with the cold, fewer people would go today.......well, I was wrong!!!! Oh well.....it's over and I was able to get my swim in so all ended well.

Smile!!!...and enjoy the rest of your day
