Christmas 2007

Another beautiful christmas season! I love christmas time and the spirit it brings with it.
Sadie of course was so excited about it this year. she really got it and had a fun time writing letters to santa and seeing him at the mall and making sure he knew exactly what kind of scooter she wanted (pink of course).

We started off the festivities with the annual brienholt christmas party (Davids moms side of the family) and we were very excited to have Grandpa Brienholt with us still this christmas season. Then on Christmas Eve we went to daves parents house and had a delicious christmas dinner and enjoyed opening gifts from grandma and grandpa Berger and from each other.
We then hurried home to make sure we were asleep "before santa came".
After making cookies for santa and staying up late wrapping and making sure things were good for santas arrival, david and i finally went to bed.
Christmas morning we woke up and had to wake our kids up (probably because we were more excited about the whole thing then they were.) So we got out the video camera and taped sadie waking up & her face when she saw that santa came. Amberly of course doesn't have a clue what is going on but she had fun with all the paper and bows.
In all of our excitement i didn't get pictures...i know that is terrible, but we do have it on video. But to sum it all up, Sadie got her pink scooter and a princess dress up dress that she hasn't taken off since she got it and alot of other fun toys. Amberly got the cutest choo choo that makes the cutest sounds and drives around. She loves it and chases it all over the house. David and I also had a great christmas opening the presents we had picked out for our selves :) not to exciting i know, but we are just grateful to be in our home and our 2 beautiful girls! Grandma and grandpa Poulson and aunt Samantha came from idaho after christmas and my brother and his family came over and spent a fun evening with us, dinner, movie and playing games. It is always fun when they come to town! Thank you to all our family and friends for the friendships, gifts and cards we received this holiday season!
It was another beautiful year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

way be-lated Thanks Giving Post.

First let me just say i have had very minimal access to the out side world lately (by way of tv & news anyways) so i feel like i don't have a clue what is going on right now. Like earlier tonight i called my mom to update me on dancing with the stars and see if tonight was the finale and apparently that happened like a week or two ago. I think all my other favorite shows (greys, desperate house wives, office, hills) are repeats due to the writers strike but that could be over by now...again, something i wouldn't know cuz i am not around tvs. So if i am missing out on anything good, ladies, would ya fill me in!
So now that i have my Christmas paper up i figured it would be a good time to post about thanksgiving... yes, i am a procrastinater. So every year we do Thanks giving with my family in Idaho, this i like because then we can always count on doing christmas with daves family, which is obviously closer and i don't know how i feel about taking all the toys to idaho in hopes that they aren't discovered on the way there.
So once again my cute mom made a delicious feast and we all sat around and ate and ate & ate some more.... you all know how it works. Then of course there is the day after thanks giving when stores open at midnight, which i think i would be interested in going to all the sales if i didn't have to drive an hour just to get to the nearest city that the stores are in (Yes, that is how far my home is from civilization) but Julie, my cute sister in law is a die hard and wasn't about to pass up the savings on the T-REX ROBO DINOSAUR. So she and my brother ventured out around 3am to make it for the store opening at 4. After the sun came up, the rest of us went shopping and went to Mr. Magoriums Wonder Imporium. Cute show!
David and I cut the weekend short and left friday because we had a lot to do back in Salt Lake. But once again it was a very beautiful, abundant Thanks Giving.
"GRATITUDE IS THE KEY TO ABUNDANCE!"
I have so much to be thanksful for, wonderful family, good friends and neighbors, a great husband and father to my beautiful girls, my daughters & a fabulous life. That to me is Abundance!

Unbelievable!

I have been dreading the family picture thing for some time now. You know making sure everyone is happy and dressed and smiling with NO EYES SWOLLEN SHUT!!!! Holy Cow, what are the chances... Once Cherie and i went to get pictures of the girls and Sadies eye for what ever reason was red and swollen shut by the time we got to the picture place & this last time Amberlys eye was red and puffy. The next day... totally fine...no reddness.
But getting past all that, surprisingly they turned out pretty cute!

Trick or Treat

Believe it or not this is the best halloween picture we got this year. Sad i know. But we did get some better pics at the play group halloween party. Sadie was a "wedding girl" on halloween night and princess belle for the pg party. Amberly was a kitty, since I already had the outfit from when sadie was a baby.

Matchy, Matchy

So ever since Amberly was born i have been wanting to buy the girls matching out fits. But I haven't been able to justify buying new clothes since I don't need anything for the 2nd kid cuz i have tons from the 1st kid. But then i saw these darling outfits and i couldn't pass it up. So i bought it & thought i am gonna just put them in their matchy close and take some pics myself. Amberly wasn't very cooperative & Sadie wouldn't stop striken poses long enough for me to catch a good one. But non the less they are still cute. However, it wasn't maybe 20 minutes later and Sadie spilt juice all down her new clothes. :( At least i got pictures of it while it lasted.

Whats New...

Not a whole lot....boring i know! But really dave and i are just focused on getting our home done asap. The renters will be here in a week and a half and i am hoping that by some small miracle our home will be done by then. Davids reassuring comments to that is "don't count on it." :)
But luckily our cute friends/neighbors (The Despains) are letting us rent their home for the next little while until ours is finished or they sell their home. Thanks Kelli!
On a different note i just have to say how touched i am by the precious innocents and unconditional love of my 3 year old. She does the darndest, cutest things that i am sure only i as her mother would appreciate but her latest thing is, she has learned the i love you sign in sign language and for a while she thought that was how you say i love you in spanish and i told her that some people cant talk and this is how they would say i love you. So for those of you who know my kid, she can talk your ear off. So every so often when i don't want to hear it any more, i ask her to please stop talking. At which point she says mom and then holds up the i love you sign.

More Pics

Just some more pics that i finally down loaded to my computer. This summer sadie was so brave in wanting to learn to water ski so at Bear Lake she got in the skies and out in the water...and that was as far as she would go! Props to her though for even doing that.

Our girls!

The end to a great summer!

We had a great start to our summer with the annual Lake powell trip. We usually do this over memorial weekend but since i had just had a baby we waited to go over the 4th instead. Brian and Julie were our partners in crime and we had so much fun on our little get a way. Its always about finding the most secluded, secret, camping spot so we have our own little oasis. Mom and Dad were so brave to take on all 4 grand kids at the same time! Thanks mom and dad.

After that we did a daring thing and went to Newport and stayed at the beach house with the vanwagoners...the daring part was that we took our kids. Not much of a vacation i know. However, sadie loves the beach and can play in the sand all day long. She is such a good kid and her little sister is even better so they make it easy and fun!

After a few more trips to the local lakes and one big trip to bear lake with the poulson family... I think we are ready to call it quits and slow it down, until next summer of course!

Mersadies is in preschool mwf for 3 hours and it is a great break for the all of us. I know she loves it and has a lot of friends from our neighborhood who go there with her. I get a lot done in those 3 hours and Amberly gets a lot more of my attention so it is a win win all around.

Our home is up for sale and hopefully will be closed on by this weekend. We are so excited for our new home. It has been alot of fun watching it go up and with david being the general on it we have alot more control over everything. We plan on having it done in late october early november so we can enjoy the holidays there!
