Its Christmas Season!!! I love the build up to christmas... its almost better than christmas itself! Almost. I love the lights and putting up the tree and all the fun little traditions that we do. One of Sadies favorites is decorating a gingerbread house, so this is her little creation (with a little help from mama and papa).

Happy Birthday Mersadies!

Are you really turning 5? I still remember bringing you home for the first time and setting you on the table and just thinking "what now?" Your Father and I were so overwelmed with love for you! I remember thinking everytime i rocked you to sleep in my arms "how is it possible to feel this much love for someone?" My Sweet Sadie, nothing has changed! I still feel that overwelming, abundant love for you everyday and it has only grown stronger and stronger as i have gotten to watch you grow. I love how every morning ever since you learned how to talk and say it you would come in and say "its a beautiful day!" I love watching you play and use your imagination and the things you come up with are so fun to see. You truly are a tender soul, you cry if you think a song is sad or if you see a sad show. I remember when you watched your dads and my wedding video for the first time and you started crying and i asked what was wrong and you said "its so beautiful!" :) Are you kidding me! You are just too tender and i love every ounce of it! Lately when you get in trouble and i send you to your room i can hear you talking so i listen to see what your saying and i realized that you are talking to heavenly father. It really is so cute and i love it - not that you got sent to your room - but the honesty and innocence of you saying "Heavenly Father, please tell mom i am really sorry. Tell her to come up to my room and get me. I got in trouble and was sent to my room. Please tell my mom...etc." I love it! I Love you! I love your hugs and kisses! I love that you want to marry your daddy! I love the fun, happy little girl you've grown up to be. Your father and I are so blessed to have you in our lives. Your little Sister Amberly absolutly loves you and wants to be just like you! You are her best friend. Thankyou for being you! I am truly a better person since you've been in my life! Happy Birthday Huney! Love Mom

Conversations...

I have loved talking to my 1 year old lately. She has started to put sentences together so we can actually carry on a conversation. They go something like this...
1.
I just got off the phone with Dave...
Amberly: daddy say?
Mom: he said hi and that he will be home soon.
Amberly: Ohh, OK!
(She always asks me what daddy said after i get off the phone with him.)

2.
Mom: Where is Sadie?
Amberly: I dont know.
Mom: do you want to go find her?
Amberly: No.
Mom: why not?
Amberly: Cuzzzz
Do you think shes picken up some words from her sister?!

No. Cuzzz and why, are now part of her vocabulary.

Happy Halloween!

See in the little picture below how amberlys hand is clenched tight around the handle...she has held on to that bucket since we bought it. This morning at breakfast she had her bucket and i could not talk her into putting it on the table right next to her, she had to hold it! So she literally ate her breakfast while holding the bucket at the same time. Amberly was so much fun this year. I don't think she has a clue whats going on but she loved dressing up and getting candy. She and I enjoyed some treats ourselves while giving out candy to the trick or treaters.
Some kids from the neighborhood all joined together to do their trick or treating.

Miss Mersadies was loving her Hanna Montana outfit and wig. Although she was quite disappointed that she didn't look like Hanna Montana after putting on the costume. She put it on, wig and all, looked in the mirror and goes how come i don't look like her. (as if the costume was going to turn her into Hanna Montana)

Mersadies has been so funny lately asking silly questions like "Mom, if some worker guys came to our home and put springs in our home where would they be?" Mom thinking up something clever: "Umm, maybe in our floors so that they would be bounce." Sadie in a very sarcastic voice: " Why would we want them to put them in our floors?" Mom, BTW i'm driving and not really wanting to have this conversation at the moment. "I don't know sadie where would you want them to put the springs?" Sadie:" In the roof so they can lift up the roof."
I don't know where she comes up with her ideas but i have to hand it to her, she has some pretty good ideas and reasonings for the many questions she asks.
Amberly is just as cute as a button! Her new words this week are SORRY and LUV YOU! I am always amazed as how well she understands everything we say to her. Like she'll find something small on the floor and i'll tell her to put it in the garbage and she runs to the nearest one and throws it away. She is very good like that. Lots of times she'll ask me where daddy is and if he's home i'll say "he's in the office" or where ever it is and she knows exactly what i'm talking about obviously because she goes right there. I guess she is still just my little baby so i don't think about her as being able to be or respond like a bigger girl, but i'm just gonna have to face it, both my babies are growing up!

Witches & goblins & ghosts OH MY!

I took my girls to Gardner Village and they LOVED seeing all the fun witches and halloween decor! We did a little shopping and of course made a stop at the candy shop and picked up some goodies for along the way! Amberly was in heaven at the candy store and she couldn't understand why she couldn't just grab what ever she wanted. She would have grabbed it all if i let her.

Cutie Patooties

Often the girls will hide from me and not answer when i call for them and one of their favorite places is in my hutch. This is what i found! :)

Amberly is being creative with her pretzels and she loves to copy big sis and my favorite is (shown above) when she copies sadie by lying on her tummy to watch the cat.

I LOVE HARVEST time it is one of my favorite times of the year. I took my girlys home to see Grandma & Grandpa a few weeks ago and they are diggin spuds right now so it was fun to be home during this ABUNDANT and BUSY time with my FAMILY!

Deceptively Delightful!....and delicious

I never thought it would be so FUN being so Deceptive! My GARDEN is putting out the crop like noones business and i can't stand to see it go to waste so this last week i have been a slave to my kitchen and my pureeing machine. I have zuchini, yellow squash, carrots, beets & cauliflower purees filling my fridge and i have put them in EVERYTHING! SHHHHH!!! My family doesn't no this, but it is fantastic!
Last night I made some spagetti, but not just any spagetti....i bought the colored "veggie noodles" and then i put yellow squash and carrot puree on them and stirred it up and they ATE it! Not only did my 4 yr old eat hers all gone but she asked for more!! And then the Spagetti Sauce had beets in it. NO ONE KNEW! So this morning i whipped up a batch of Waffle mix and put some carrot puree in it and they didn't say anything. And last week i made the yummy potato soup from the Deceptivly Delicious Cook Book and put the Cauliflower in it as well as yellow squash and it tasted GREAT & they ate it all up!
So not only do i feel like my kids are getting some very good food in them but i feel like i am making use of all my Garden Grown Veggies and not having to waste any of them!

I LOVE IT!

Summer 2008

We had some fun Vacations, Trips & nights on the Lake. These are some of the Highlights to recap the Summer.

One of my favorite pics from the summer is this one of Annie & Sade. The girls thought they needed their goggles on cuz they were playing in the water :) he he.
Not only did they not get in any water deep enought to need the goggles but they can't even see out of them cuz their croocked! And they kept them on the whole time! They are too funny!

Probably one of the funnest thing for Sadie this summer was running back and forth with her little friends and just being a kid. I would say about everyday sometimes starting as early as 9am Sadie was asking if she could ride her bike to a friends house and they would go back and forth all day long. It was so much fun for me because this is the first time i just let her out of the house and be so independent and do her own thing.

Oh How I MISS those Blue chairs on the Cruise...they don't look that comfortable but they were and they were heated!

One of the FUNNIEST moments of the summer was the boys doing a little Back Street Kareoke on the Cruise. I Love how into it they are.
My FAVORITES are the nights on the LAKE. I feel like we don't go as often as we used too but we still go alot and it is so much fun. The kids LOVE it and Amberly was so good about just sitting in my lap. The GIRLS loved it & I am so grateful for these moments and opportunities that we have together as a family. My GREATEST MEMORIES of growing up are of these exact things and i want to GIVE that to my CHILDREN too.

Labor Day 2008

We spent a few days over the weekend in Bear Lake with the Alders. The girls loved being on the beach and playing in the sand. Amberly loved the 4 wheelers the best. She would always point and say "ride, ride".

A favorite moment from the Lake was when Sade skiied behind the jet ski. We were so proud of her. It has been so much fun watching our daughter hit some big mile stones this summer with skiing and her bike.

Annie showed Sadie how and so Sadie gave it a shot and LOVED it! She would have done it all day if we would have let her.

The girls in there cool suits all ready to ski
Thanks to Megan for letting Sadie borrow her wet suit! :)
Thanks again to the Alders for a fun weekend! We had a GREAT time!

Happy Birthday Babe!!

Probably like most men sometime in their life, my husband has been really...really wanting to buy a motorcycle. Although he hasn't sold me on that idea just yet, i did rent one for the weekend for his birthday. We rode it to Dodo's for dinner and then back south up to suncrest. Down the backside through Alpine and back home. And i got to say i never thought i would be a biker chick but it was really fun!! Then the next morning he and Jake rode the Alpine Loop and up to sundance.

So, not to bore you all with some lovey, dovey talk, but to my hunny i want to say that i am so GRATEFUL for you in my LIFE! You are the best FATHER too our daughters and i LEARN so much from you as i watch and listen to you TEACH our girls. I am so GRATEFUL for you as a HUSBAND & as a BEST FRIEND!

I LOVE you!

Happy Birthday!!

Big Girl Bike

Another Proud Moment... this last week Sadie rode a bike with out trainings wheels! She is so proud of her self and of course we are so proud of her too. She learned all on her own, i hate to admit it but i wasn't out there to help her all the time and i think by watching all her friends, she just thought she would give it a whirl. She is growing up so fast these days. I just feel like she is such a big girl lately. She started school again yesterday and is so excited about it! I love hearing about all the things she learned that day. It is so fun to watch these little spirits pick up on and learn about the simplest stuff. They find all of it so interesting. Like at night when i tuck her in, i know i will not make it out of her room with out her asking some questions. The first one usually always... "what are we having for breakfast in the morning?" And then there comes a few random questions about things she heard that day or picked up on at some point. She is so curious and i love it!

Side note: Just wanted to add a little conversation that she and i had the other day while at gelatos. It wasn't about anything important but it was such a 2 way conversation... i would have thought i was talking to another adult...
Me: I can't eat all this ice cream - it's too rich or something... it feels me up way fast, kinda like cold stones.
Sadie: Yeah, i was thinking about that. I can't finish mine either.
Me: I wonder why, cuz i can eat a huge bowl of mint chocolate chip, no problem, but this little cup is too much.
Sadie: Yeah, i can eat a whole bowl of mint ice cream too. But not this, this is too much. Weird!

Proud Moments

David and Sadie went for a ride on the Wake Board this last week & I am not
sure who enjoyed it more. Sadie of course thought it was the funnest thing ever but Dave loved that fact that his little girl was brave enough to
go for a ride and he was so proud of her (i could of sworn i saw his eyes get watery! ;) )

Nap time crazy hair continued...

I guess she decided to wear her milk instead of drink it since it makes for such a great hair product.
Her hair is soaking wet with milk!

Holy Hair!

Our darling Amberly has been blessed with a lot of beautiful hair. And although many of you have never seen it actually done, i do promise that i attempt to do something to it every morning. But just to let you all know these pictures might look like a very rough long night of sleeping, but let the evidence stand that this is just after a few hours of napping and YES... it was in ponies at the beginning of the day!

I love doing her hair and when it is done it is darling! But until she stops pulling the ponies out...this is how its gonna be!
