Happy Valentine! And a question!

Hello everyone!
I want to wish you all a Happy valentine, showing this little wall-quilt I designed couple of years ago! You may have noticed the quilt on the sidebar on my blog! A close up.... The hearts are embellished with small beads, and they've got a little "tail" of beads! I named the quilt "Be My Valentine"

And then over to my question! My two girls and I are going to England to visit my sister and her family on sunday. We really look forward to that. My question is: Is there anyone out there who knows about great quiltshops worth a visit? My sis lives in Bracknell, Berkshire, not too far away from Windsor, Heathrow, Reading. If you know of a shop or more, please let me know! Thank you!
Take care!

Jippi! I've got it!

On friday, right before we went away for the week-end, I rushed to the post-office! The post-man had tried to deliver a package to me, and I wasn't at home! I understood it was from my swap-partner in the Four Seasons Quilt Swap, and I could hardly wait to get my hands on it!
I didn't know who my partner was, I only knew who I was sending to! Exciting!
It was from Luisa in Portugal! She has made me a beautiful winter-quilt! I love it! The colours are perfect, and fits the pattern she chose perfect, too! It definately makes me think of winter. And those red triangles put an extra warm feeling into it. Please, jump over to her blog and read about it in her own words! Thank you, Luisa!
She also sent me some fabrics that says SPRING! Thank you again!
I am so happy I got the quilt before we went away for the week-end! Because, what wouldn't be more perfect than to take photos of the winter-quilt out in the snow! I think it looks perfect with the snow as a background!
Take care!

Week-end in the snow

I'm back from our week-end away! Hmhm, I didn't spend much time in the snow, but my husband and princesses did! The weather on saturday wasn't too good, but on suday the sun managed to break through the clouds and it was beautiful! It was quiet, no wind at all, +2 degrees ( C ). Just like wonderful easter weather! I hope you will enjoy!

Skiers sitting outside in the snow, enjoying the sun and may be an orange....
Children having a little time-out, playing in the snow...
My little princess making a snowball....

Sisters...Nice to have a ride on dad's back when you are tired...
These sculptures were made last week-end, but I forgot my camera.....
Should have taken the photos by night, they were illuminated in different colours, but....

Hope you enjoyed my week-end!

Four Seasons Quilt Swap

I have finally finished my quilt for the Four seasons Quilt Swap! A little late, I know. I'm sorry! You saw a little glimpse of it in a previous post.
It is now on its way to my swap-partner. I can't tell you who she is or where, until she has got it!
I really hope she will like it! Read the saying on the quilt. It is my words for you today!

I wish you all a nice week-end!
I'm off for a week-end in the snow, again! This time with my family. They are going to do some down-hill skiing. I am not! I am not that good. I know I should learn, but I am too old and too scared! But the kids have had a very good teacher in their father! And they love to run!

Take care!
