Just checking in!
I want to thank all of you who have commented on my previous post! I really loved reading your comments!
I will not be able to reply to your comments for a while since I am on vacation in Florida with my family for two weeks! ( Hope I'll find a quilt-shop or two! LOL! )
But I promise I will come back to you later!
Take care everyone!

My Little Princess
Eight years ago, something happened, that turned our lives upside down. Our little princess was born! Not the princess we all had been waiting for for many months, but a very special little princess. A little girl who would learn us how to be more patient, a little girl who would teach us how to appreciate every little thing she achieved. A little girl who gave us sleepless nights and worries. Worries about illness and her future. A little girl who can be a bit stubborn and sometimes is able make us a little angry! A little girl who laughs very easily and make us laugh! A very loving and caring one! A little sister who loves her big brother and sister so much! A little girl who is not afraid to show her happiness. We all love her smiles, her joy and happiness. Her hugs are the best you can get. Our little princess was born with Downs Syndrome. There has been both good and hard days.
When our princess was born, I thought I had to make her a colourful quilt to stimulate her, but it took me a long time before I was able to sew again. I had been collecting bright fabrics for a while, for a baby/kid-quilt. Finally I got started, and I decided on making a tumbler quilt.
When all the pieces were cut, I tried to put them together properly, but the whole thing turned out way too busy! So I decided to split the colours into "blues" and "reds".
I call them the Twin Quilts...since they were supposed to be just one quilt!
I love the way they both turned out!
Quilts approved by the owner!
We are so proud of our little princess, for each new thing she is learning, every new step she is able to take in her life! She has a life full of possibilities waiting for her!

This'n that
I found a link to it on this blog! I've allready tested it, and it is addictive! It's a patchwork-puzzle online. On each level you get a new patchworkblock or blocks to put together! Have fun!

NQF 20 Year
Last week-end I went to the Annual Quilt Meeting. The Norwegian Quilt assosiation was celebrating the 20 year anniversary.
There were a lot going on. Kaffe Fasset was there, talking about how he is working. He was also teaching a couple workshops.
There were various workshops to join, some drop-in workshops, and some you had to sign up for, when you signed up for the meeting.
There were exhibitions where you could enjoy beautiful work from all over our country. I am sorry I haven't any photos to show you! We are not allowed to show the photos in public, only for private use.
And there were shops, shops, shops! Can you believe, I didn't take one single photos from the shops! I think I must have been carrying my head under my arm! I wasn't thinking! LOL! But if you jump over to May Britt's blog, she has a lot of photos from the shops to share.
On saturday night whe had a special dinner, celebrating the 20 years. The food was delicious! They said there were nearly 500 ladies being served! Can you imagine how the noise-level sometimes increased! LOL!
On sunday, I joined a 4 hour workshop. It was teached by a norwegian designer named André Wallenborg. He is designing and making purses. (Also for the Royal Family, I've heard!) One of his goals for this workshop, was that all of us should leave the workshop with a finished product! I can't say that that has happend to me before! But I got there, almost! It was a fun workshop, and he really is a good teacher!
This is my cute little purse, designed by him, and made by me!
This is some of the stuff I bought. I just couldn't manage to leave the shops untouched by me! LOL!

Look at these Valdani threads! Aren't they lovely? They are 3-stranded embroidery-floss. I'm not sure I can afford to use them! I might save these and buy me another box to use... Does this sound familiar??
Well, that's all for now! Thank you for stopping by!
