Lady Sings the Blues (também conhecido como O Ocaso de uma Estrela) é um filme que narra a vida da cantora de jazz Billie Holiday, tendo como base a autobiografia homônima dela lançada no ano de 1956. Produzido pela Motown Productions, o filme traz Diana Ross no papel principal.
Em 1936, Nova York, Billie é presa sob a acusação de porte de drogas. Abandonada em uma cela, ela relembrará os mais dolorosos e marcantes momentos de sua vida, desde seus dias como uma ajudante de limpeza em um bordel, sua meteórica carreira, turbulentos relacionamentos, à sua performance triunfal no Carnegie Hall em NY.
