Otis Lee Clay foi um cantor americano de R & B e soul, que começou na música gospel.
Nascido numa família religiosa de sólida formação musical, Otis Clay mudou-se para Chicago na adolescência, onde se juntou, nos anos 1960, aos Famous Blue Jay Singers, que cantavam a capella para audiências maioritariamente brancas.
Clay assinou êxitos como "That's How It Is (When You're in Love)" e "Trying to Live My Life Without You" e tornou-se uma referência para músicos de soul e blues em Chicago, onde também tocaram alguns dos seus ídolos, como Muddy Waters e Sam Cooke.
Em 2007, Clay recebeu uma nomeação para um Grammy pelo disco de gospel "Walk a Mile in My Shoes".
Em 2013, Clay foi introduzido no Blues Hall of Fame.
