Merry Christmas to All!

So I only got a few Christmas cards sent out this year so I'm posting my letter and picture... Cheap way out, I know:) But, we really do wish you all a Merry Christmas!

Christmas 2009
It’s been a year of changes for the Largey Clan.
We built a house, got a cat, we even bought a van.
Weston started Joy School and Hyrum’s in 1st grade.
He’s reading like a pro now and in Math, he’s got it made!
Zach’s still teaching English; six classes is insane.
He finished with book seven, too. Now an agent to attain…
Sharlee’s got her boys at home. Young Women in the ward.
Now baby three is on the way- Oh, she is never bored!
Our Savior’s love is always near, we feel it day to day.
We’re happy, blessed and sometimes stressed. We’ll make it if we pray.
We’re hoping now this Christmas Season that His love finds you.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, too!

Happy Snow Day!

The last couple years, the weather waits until December to really have a good snow. Do I mind? Not at all! But when it does snow, we like to go play in it! Luckily, my dad got me some new snow boots so my feet didn't get wet or cold so it really was a happy snow day!

After the first good snow, we went to Kristi's house in Spanish Fork where they recieved 12 inches of snow! DJ hooked up a big tub sled to his four-wheeler and pulled the kids through the streets, over the the huge piles made by the snow plows. The boys loved it but by the time they came in they were FROZEN! Hyrum was red and Weston had icicles in his hair!

The next week, it snowed again but it was about ten degrees warmer so we spent some time making our Dr. Suess snowman- no, he didn't last very long but he was pretty 'cool'!

I also made a gingerbread house with Kristi. This year, I decided to make it a stable with animals and a manger inside- I think it turned out pretty good! The gingerbread tastes good too so we'll see how long it lasts...

Now I think I'm about set for this next week- Tomorrow is laundry, groceries, and any other job I do all week long. Tuesday is Weston's birthday AND Hyrum's school party I'm in charge of so THAT's a party day! Wednesday is make cookies at Grandma's house, and then Thursday is Christmas Eve and time to relax and enjoy the holiday! I love Christmas!

Oh Good...

My friend Holly knows how to work a computer and gave me the clue on how to move my post- Thanks again, Holly!

Thanksgiving time!

This year was a Lets-go-home-to-Roswell year so Kristi, Robby and I packed up a van with all our luggage, Christmas presents, and five kids and made the pilgrimage to New Mexico! The kids were great and the trip actually went pretty fast but we were sure glad to get there! Here is a picture guide of things we did...

Hyrum and I riding Dad's little yellow mini-bike. Hyrum was not anxious to fast and ready to get off- Weston was ready to speed!

Even Lydia wanted a turn. :)

Wednesday and Thursday we baked and cooked until Thanksgiving dinner was ready- Hyrum and Weston were ready to eat!

This is our little place setting- a leaf seat card, an Oreo turkey (by Kristi) and turkey napkin holders.

I thought they turned out cute!

Here is our lovely selection of pies- traditional Lemon merange, Cindy's Halloween chocolate cream pie, Egg nog pumpkin pie, Banana cream pie, Caramel pecan pie, and the best: Maple apple pie. Delicious!

The kids found projects to do with Maama- like painting bird feeders (Hyrum says it's a bird catcher...)

Lydia and Pa making silly faces.

Hyrum and Bryson making sillier faces. :)

Pa, Maama and all the grandkids climbing trees- one of their favorite things while they were there!

Pa was helping Maama get out of the tree... :)

The siblings had their turn in the tree too. I love going home and being with my family!
Maama plays with the kids while Kristi and I take turns washing dishes. We all take turns cooking and cleaning up. We sing around the piano, play at the park, play outside in the WARM weather, read stories, do a little Black Friday shopping... It's great!

It's Autumn time!

So one day we took the camera outside and took lots and lots of pictures...

I made the boys put on cute clothes and cute faces- though every other picture was a silly face. :)

Hyrum kept laughing- but I kind of like that face!

In turn, the boys told me I better put on some cute clothes too, so they could take pictures of me. I guess that was fair...

Did I mention they are silly?

But, they are also cute!

My favorites I'm hanging on the wall...

Weston took this picture...

Hyrum took this one. :)

I love my boys!

Kitties and Day trips

This week we celebrated Jag's first birthday! PetSmart even sent him a birthday coupon and the boys were so excited to use it... What did he get for his birthday? - I know you are wondering! Some canned cat food, a laser mouse (shoots out a laser for him to chase- he loves it) and a cat leash. Have you ever tried walking a cat? Yeah, doesn't happen. You carry the cat where you want to go and then set it down and let him sniff around while he slinks on his belly... Silly Jaggers.
Weston was a photographer for these Jag pics: #1. His favorite place under the table. The boys fight over who gets to sit closest to Jag. :)
Jag's favorite stuffed animal- he licks it, chases it and bites it. Poor little giraffe!
He loves fresh laundry- every time I pull a load out of the dryer to fold, Jag is there laying on it!

He's a fatty and doesn't mind Hyrum treating him like a baby- silly kitty!

And Weston! Weston and I have had some adventures lately, just me and him.

I love this boy! He has the funniest little humor and he sings all day long!

We took two trips to Salt Lake this last week and spent some time on Temple Square- just me and Weston.

This is my temple picture!
Of course we had to make some other stops at Tai Pan and IKEA but Weston was a fabulous traveller and I love spending time with him!

Homecoming and Halloween!

I forgot to add this in my last post: Our favorite homecoming tradition! Eating blue pancakes before the BYU homecoming parade! We started this with the Morris's and they should be proud to know we carried on the tradition for them. :) Zach actually joined us this time, standing in line for an hour to get blue pancakes and blue milk- yummy! The boys think it's great and they love catching the parade candy, too. :)
Weston stuffing his mouth...

Hyrum polishing off his plate! I don't know if Zach appreciated this tradition as much as we did but anyone who wants to join us next year better wear their blue and come on down!

Now, on to Halloween!

Kobi and Grace threw a lovely party with a beautiful table set with mummy dogs, witch's brew and gummy worms. The kids decorated cookies, made leaf decor and played the mummy game...

Here's the crazy kids in their costumes- What? You can't see Hyrum and Weston? That's because they are ninjas and they blend into the darkness...

Halloween night we went trick or treating- Zach grew a lovely head of hair for the occasion, though I made him cut it afterward. He kept blocking me in all the pictures...

Hyrum's costume evolved into a Karate Kid look after he wore the ninja thing for too many parties. :)

Weston stayed true to his yellow belt and had some great kicks and punches!

I was obviously the ninja/karate kid's mother with my asian robes...

And all together now- everyone pose! Now we have a big bucket of candy on TOP of the fridge (don't tell the boys where it is...) and probably cavities in our mouths. Good thing we have tooth brushes!

The Whole of October!

So I've been busy, okay? But I've got a minute and my pictures are actually downloaded for once so here is October:

First, Zach and I went on a fabulous date to a masquerade ball dressed as ...can you guess? Probably not....

This was our Anne Shirley/ Gilbert Blythe look- yeah?

We went with Kobi and Dave with their fantastic costumes-
Westley and Buttercup of course!
This was the back of my hair that I thought turned out pretty good. :)

Next event was a trip to Salt Lake to Dr. Poff's house... Kobi and I are both good friends with Emily from our singles ward and she did a great job of hosting us AND our crazy kids for dinner and pumpkin carving... the blocks were a big hit!

Here's the kids building 'traps'

Weston, Kobi, and Emily and our lovely pumpkins!

The next thing was a PROJECT... for Young Women's one night, we had every single girl there, and they each made a pair of PJ pants- yes we were there until 9:45 BUT they all finished them! I figured if the girls could do it that fast, I could make some too. So I made some for me and my boys- they were fabulously easy and the boys love theirs!

September and October are also the months of BIRTHDAYs in our family... here are the cutest:
Little Lydia turned 1! Of course she partied at Chuck E. Cheese and had the cutest ducky cake...

Jessica, Liesel and Bella all turned 2! They were all just babies!

Take a good long look at this next picture:

Because this is the last time you'll see our silver Impala... Zach took it for a check up and the man said it was on it's last leg. So what did we do? We bought a van, of course! That night, actually...
I don't have a great picture of it, but to celebrate we took it on a little trip to Park City with our friends, the Turleys. Here's the best I've got:

If it looks familiar, it's just like every other white van driving down the road- in fact, it's exactly like Kristi and DJ's... yep, we're just copiers (and we got a great deal!)

While in Park City, we got some great deals at the Outlets, went to lunch, and hit every art gallery along the old town streets. It was a fun afternoon! This picture is us with the Turleys outside the Kimball art gallery- it had the coolest display of LEGOS I've ever seen!

Okay, next up : Halloween...
