G with an O, O with a D, T with an I and an M and an E

G with an O, O with a D, T with an I and an M and an E that spells GOOD TIME!! That was November, a whole lot of GOOD TIMES! I can't believe that November has come and gone already. I always hear people say that the older you get the quicker time goes. Really? I better stop getting older because time already flies by! Anyway here's the November update! It's going to be a long one, but I want to remember all this.
The day after I last updated Mom, Dad and I headed for Midway for the opening night of the Heber City Cowboy Poetry Gathering. The opening show is always such a good show, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth it! ;) On the drive up it was rainning a little, but nothing bad. Well, while we were in the show it snowed. We had taken my new car and I had never driven it in the snow, so I was rather worried about how it would handle. You know how it is, every vechile is so different. Well as soon as we got to Highway 40 is was like a total white out and the roads were snowpacked. We slowly climbed the hill going like 15 maybe 20 MPH. You couldn't see where the road was, so the only thing I had to go on was the markers on the side of the road. I can not tell you how happy I was with how my new car performed!! The roads never got any better until we were just about out of Parley's Canyon. So what is normally a 40-45 minute drive turned into an hour and half very stressful drive. I was SO HAPPY to get back home that night.
Thursday the 6th of November brought another University of Utah football game. This time it was against TCU. I left work at 2:30, came home and got Dad (Mom went to Heber for the Michael Martin Murphey concert) and we where off. It was an AWESOME game!! And yet again, we came away the victor!! 13-10
After work on Friday we went up to Heber to check out the Buckaroo Fair at the cowboy poetry gathering and let Mom and Dad kick up their heels at the dance. We headed back up on Saturday to go to the Red Steagall concert and the Bar J Wranglers concert.
Monday the 10th started the November birthdays for our family. Brooke celebrated her 9th birthday!! We called and talked to her and it sounded like she had a great day. I wish they were closer so that we could spend more time with them. Maybe some day!
The 12th was yet another birthday, this time it was Jessica. I'll let you ask her how old she is now!
Saturday the 15th Dad and I got to do one of our favorite things, plumbing!! We needed to do some work on the toilet. So we spent the morning fixing it, but finally got it done. While we were working on it Kylie, Amber, Brody and Bridger came. We put them to work in the backyard racking leaves. Amber and Brody really went to town and racked up two HUGE piles of leaves. So then they had to jump in them. Amber was doing all sorts of tricks. They got done with that, and we bagged up all the leaves and headed in the house to watch the Utah vs. San Diego State football game. Utah showed up to play and won it 63-14!
Sunday we went up to Woodland to see Paul's kids in their primary program. After we went and picked up Grandpa and went to Heber to get something to eat.
Mom and Dad celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on the 19th!! What great examples to look up to!
After work on te 20th we went up to Woodland for Amber's birthday party. She too turned 9. Seriously...how are they that old? I was in High School when they were born and I'm just sure that I haven't been out of school that long. We had a good time and Amber got lots of nice gifts!
Saturday the 22nd was time for the UTAH vs. BYU football game! Our undeafted season was on the line. We had to win this game to keep the BCS bowling hopes alive. We headed up to "the U" Saturday morning. We fixed prime rib and cheesy potatoes in the dutch ovens. It was SO GOOD!!! Then came the game! It was a GREAT game!!! Utah did it again!!! We beat BYU 48-24!! Undeafted - 12 - 0!!! BCS here we come!
Monday the 24th Mom celebrated her birthday. She had to work late, so once she finally got off work she, Dad and I went to dinner.
Thanksgiving was on the 27th. We went up to Woodland and had dinner with the Bisel side. There were about 30 of us. Dinner was wonderful, as always. And of course I ate way to much, but what would Thanksgiving be if you didn't? I got to visit with a couple of my cousins that I don't get to see very much and that was really nice!!
Friday Mom and I got up and went Black Friday shopping. We got some good things, so I guess it was worth the lack of sleep! ;) After we got done shopping we came home and unloaded all the stuff and got Dad and the truck and went and got our Christmas tree. We finally found the one that we all liked and headed back home and put the tree in. It was a very productive day!
Saturday we did a bunch of clean up. Trying to get everything ready for winter.
On Sunday after we got done with church we went up to Kamas and Mom, Dad and I moved hay into the trailer so that Paul can start feeding the animals. Can it really be time to have to start feeding? I'm tellin' ya, time just flies right on by!! Once we got done we stopped at the Francis Cemetery and put a Christmas wreath up for Grandma and Grandpa Gines and then went to the Woodland Cemetery and put one up for Grandma Bisel. The daylight is sure short this time of year. We had to use my cars headlights to see and it was only 5:30.
With Monday came the first of December! December, really? Yep!! Anyway, we got the Christmas decorations boxes up and got the decorations out and put the boxes all back. Now we just need to get all the decorations put up.
We are trying to get lots of stuff done this week! Hopefully we will get it all done!
If you've made it this far then you deserve a prize, and that prize is pictures!! :) Hope you enjoy the pictures from November!!

?!Missing!?

It seems that some of you think I've gone missing! But all in all I just haven't had time to sit down and blog. So, I finally am taking the time to do it. As usual I'm going to go back and bring you all up to date on the happenings around here....then you'll know where I've been!
The Friday after I last updated, October 10th, we got word that my cousin Darin Gines had passed away. It was a total shock, he was only 27.
Saturday the 11th the weather was starting to turn cold, so we went out and picked all the tomatoes and peppers that were ripe and covered up the rest of them so that they wouldn't freeze. Mom couldn't bare to see all of her flowers freeze so she brought a few of them in the house. Here's the greenhouse, I mean the kitchen.

After we got done with all the picking we came in and watched the Utah @ Wyoming game. Mark, Jessica, David and Stacey went to the game, and from the tales they've told I'm glad I stayed at home and watched from inside the comfort of my home. Utah ended up winning 40-7!!
It was a good thing we covered the plants, because we woke up Sunday morning to our first snow fall! It looked so pretty while it lasted. The snow was all gone by time I got back home from church.
Monday night we went up to Kamas to attend Darin's viewing. I had talked to David around 2 and he had decided to come in for the funeral. We thought it would be fun not to tell anyone, so I just text them all night to keep tabs on where they were. When they got to the church I could tell how glad Dad and Mom where that they had made the trip.
We headed back up to Kamas on Tuesday the 14th for the funeral. It was a nice service.

Dad and Uncle Guy

Friday the 17th of October Mom and Dad went and got the metal for the roof and Mark came over and helped them unload it. The roof project all of a sudden became very real!
We decided to wait on the roof and we headed to the "U" for the Utah versus Colorado State game. We had a great brunch before the game!

Dad cooking the lamb

Me fixing the hash browns
Yet again Utah came away victorious!! 49-16 Let's Go Utes!!
I am lucky enough to have the calling of primary pianst for my ward and the 19th was our primary program. Our wards primary is rather small so I bribbed a few little kids that I happened to know...Amber, Brody and Bridger...to come and help us out. They did a great job and I'm so glad that the program is over and not a worry anymore! At least until next year right!
Since Paul's kids were in the program they had come down to watch them. So we put them to work after dinner and got started on the roof!
Here's Paul and Dad putting the first piece down!!

Dad trying to figure out the puzzle!
The roof then took over! Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Dad, Mom, Mark and I worked on the roof as soon as we got home from work until it was dark enough that we had to bring a light up to finish and clean up.
Thursday and Friday we took the night off and Dad, Mom and I headed to Ogden for the Wilderness Circuit Finals Rodeo.
It was back to work first thing Saturday morning though. We worked all day long and stopped just soon enough to get ready and head back to Ogden for the last night of the rodeo.
Sunday the 26th we took the day off and attended our church meetings and then headed for Woodland for a little break.
And then you guessed it...back to work on the roof Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday also brought Milly's birthday. I can't believe that she's already three! It surely doesn't seem like it's been that long! But I sure hope we get to have her around for many more birthdays!!
Wednesday we had to take other day off from the roof and go up to Kamas for the Body Motion Halloween Concert. The girls all looked really great!
Kylie

Amber
Back to the roof again on Thursday.
Even though I was a slacker and took the night off from working on the roof on Halloween, Dad, Mom and Mark put in some hours on it!!
Since I don't have any kids to dress up...Milly gets to get dressed up!! She looks thrilled I know! It was rather comical putting it on her! Once it was on she didn't seem to mind at all though.
I even took her to the neighbors and she got a couple of 'Trick or Treats'!! Lucky little dog!!

Seriously...look at that face!! Too stinkin' cute!!
After taking the night off we got right after the roof on Saturday morning!

What's this you ask? It's the finished roof! That's right I said FINISHED!!!
Once we got the roof finished we came in and watched the Utes. They came out again on top with a win over New Mexico. 13-10!!
I take it that by now you've figured out where I've been missing...I was hiding up on the roof!
I'm really not sure how October is already over, time just seems to fly right on by. It looks as though November is going to be another busy month. But as my friend pointed out to me today...when am I not busy!? Umm...I'll get back to you on that one! Anyway I am looking forward to November. It's another BIG birthday month for our family! I am really going to try and keep up with my updates! I know I say that every time...but at least I said I was only going to try! Until then...keep on keeping on!!!

It's been how long?

Yet again time has got away from me and I haven't updated in what seems forever. That means that I am going to play catch, just so that I don't miss anything.
On the 17th we headed up to Woodland to celebrate Brody's 7th Birthday! Really? SEVEN? Man I tell you what...I'm not sure just how these kids keep getting older because I'm just sure that I'm not!!
Brody scored LOTS of GREAT gifts!

We were also lucky enough to have TWO special guests with us to celebrate Brody's birthday, Grandpa Bisel and Robert. The kids were really excited to have them come up to their house.

On Sunday the 21st we decided that it was a perfect day for a fall ride. We met up with Paul's family, Grandpa Bisel, Aunt JoDe and Uncle Bill in Woodland and headed off. We rode over Wolf Creek and went up to Defa's. The leaves looked beautiful and we had a really great ride.

Amber

Bridger

Brody

Kylie

Mom had made some salsa and brought some treats, so we got out and had a little treat. And of course we had to get a group picture.

Back Row: Laura(me), Grandpa Bisel, Paul, Laura, Uncle Bill, Aunt JoDe, Dad and Mom

Front Row: Bridger, Kylie, Amber and Brody

It was SO pretty. The only thing that could have been better is if my camera battery wouldn't have died. Luckily enough I had my other camera and Mom had her's as well...so not all was lost. We were able to still get some great shots.

Paul's Family

My new ride!! I'm still LOVING it!!

Saturday the 27th it was time for Utah Football!! Paul and his kids came down to tailgate and go to the game with us.

Me and Amber

Bridger, Brody, Kylie, Mark, Swoop and Josh

Dad, Mom and Mark

Mom and I haven't been able to find much time this summer to go horseback riding. The 28th ended up being a great day to go and do so. We went and got the horses and headed for the hills. We are SO lucky to have such GREAT horses. We had forgot to bring any treats/oats to catch them with, and you would have never known. We hadn't been on them for over a month and they act just like they get rode all the time. The leaves looked really neat. It was interesting how some of them had already lost their leaves and other hadn't even started to change yet.

Shadow and me

Josie and Mom

Could you ask for a better view?

I love the different colors all in one picture. Shadow and me.

Josie and Mom

Dad is ALWAYS so good to come and help. He hasn't riden with us for a while, but he always comes and helps. We wouldn't be able to do it without him! Thanks Dad for all your help!!

Josie and Dad

In preparation of winter we decided we needed to get the bushes in front of the house trimmed up. We started the project on Tuesday the 30th. Here's the "before" pictures.

As you can see in this picture the bushes had got a little out of control. I'm pretty sure that the front window is behind those bushes...I hope anyway!

We worked on the bushes again on the first, it's not a real quick process.

On the 2nd of October we took the night off from trimming bushes and went up to the "U" for the Utah vs. Oregon State game.

Me and Josh

Me, Dad and Mark

Jessica

It was a REALLY good game! It came right down to the last second...but we WON 31-28!!!

Me, Mom and Dad

It was back to work on the bushes on Friday. We ended up taking the weekend off from trimming since it was rainning all weekend. We were back at them and finished them up on Monday!!

I was right...there is a window behind those bushes!! Looks SO much better and I'm very glad to have them done.

Well that brings us back to date! I'm going to try and keep up a little better. Then I won't have to post such novels. We've got the house all decorated for Halloween. I'm pretty excited...Milly even has her costume already!! Here's to October!!

The Ending of an Era, and the Turning of a Page

I can hardly believe it, but I have had my 2000 Ford Mustang for almost eight years. That car has taken me many places, and I can not complain about it. But the time has come, time to get a new car and hope that it will be as good to me as my Mustang has been.
I had been thinking about getting a new vehicle for a while, and just hadn't decided what I wanted to get. Well, I finally made up my mind and found the deal I was looking for. So a new 2008 Ford Edge it is! I am absolutely loving it!

It has all kinds of bells and whistles, it's like having a new toy!

Saturday we figured we'd better get some apple pies made to put in the freezer as well as bake for Sunday. To keep the process moving smoothly we all had a job. Dad peeled the apples, I sliced and cored them, and Mom made the crusts and put the pies together.

Sunday we went up to Woodland to spend some time with Grandpa and show off my new car. Some of Aunt Bonnie's family was up there as well since Thomas is leaving on his mission on Wednesday. McKenzie, Tanielle's little girl, and Bridger became fast friends. I love how little kids can become best friends in a matter of minutes.

We all (Grandpa, Dad, Mom, Paul, Laura, Uncle Tom, Aunt Bonnie, Thomas, Tanielle, McKenzie, Chace, Aunt Vicki, Uncle Terry, Uncle DeLoy, Aunt Trudy, Cade, Cache and I) went over to the Francis rodeo grounds to watch Cache make a couple of practice rides. McKenzie thought it was great and wanted him to keep doing it.

Just as we got there the moon was coming up and it looked so pretty.

Here's to the ending of an era, and the turning of a page!

Also I want to wish Robert a Happy Birthday! Hope that you had a great day!
