!Warning! Overload

Yet again time has just flown right by. I really can't believe that it's the last day of June!? Where did June go? Well you're about to find out! We went out to dinner on the 10th for Bridger's 4th birthday.

On the 11th we went up to Heber to watch the State High School Rodeo Finals.
Friday the 13th I had "Craft Night" with the girls out to Shannon's. We had a lot of fun, and as always I stayed out to Shannon's WAY to late!
I took these pictures of the flowers before I went out to Shannon's. The poppy's are so neat looking.

Saturday the 14th Dad, Mom, Paul, Brody, Bridger and I headed up to Smith and Moorehouse to go fishing. We spent the whole day up there and we sure had a lot of fun. The weather was perfect and the scenery was just awesome.

First fish of the day.

Brody's first fish, Stanley.

What a gorgeous place.

Bridger's first fish.

The crew. We ended up with 10 fish. Brody caught one, Bridger caught two, Paul caught three and Dad caught the rest. Me, yeah I didn't catch any! So those fish better watch out next time.

The 15th was Father's Day, so I offered to go over to the care center that Dad and Mom do the sacrament servcies at and play my violin. After we got done with church we headed up to Woodland and picked up Grandpa and then went to Billie Jo's for dinner. It was a very nice dinner, and nice to sit and visit with everyone. I had made a cheesecake for dessert and I was pretty proud of it, so I had to take a picture of it.

Tuesday the 17th brought a couple more birthdays, Laura's and Rylek's. I went out to Shannon's for Rylek's 3rd birthday party. We had a lot of fun playing with his new toys.
On the 18th, 19th and 20th Dad, Mom, and I went down to Pleasant Grove to the Strawberry Day's Rodeo.

Saturday we went up to Kamas/Woodland. Mom spent the day out to Woodland with Grandpa and Dad and I went over to Kamas to the pasture to irrigate. It was really warm and we had been working hard getting the dam in and digging out a ditch, so we took a little breather and this was the only shade we could find. We got the water going good and headed back out to Woodland and spent the rest of the night there.

If you haven't read my post about what I did on Sunday the 22nd you'd better go read it! It's good times!
I took these pictures of the lily on Tuesday the 24th.

Wednesday I went out to dinner with a couple of my girlfriends. It's always fun to get together with them.
On the 26th Dad, Mom and I went out to Market Street Grill for a little pre-birthday dinner since we wouldn't be able to do dinner on Friday. After dinner we ran up to Woodland to spend a little time with Grandpa.
So they tell me, this little girl turned 26 on the 27th!! Man...where does the time go!?

We went down to Lehi on my birthday for the Lehi Roundup. That makes birthday #5 for the month of June, and rodeo #4(actual nights at rodeo's - 7).

Saturday the 28th brough yet another birthday! Happy Birthday David! It also brought Dad's class reunioin. They had planned to hike Bald Mountain. They attempted, but ran into snow a little more then half way up the trail.

I went out with my friend Sherie on Saturday to dinner and a movie. We went and saw Get Smart, it was a good show. I would recommend it.

After church Sunday Mark and Jessica came over and we ate with them, and then headed up to Woodland for more birthday celebration. We went up to Grandpa's and had a wonderful dinner - thanks Mom - played with the kids and just enjoyed each other's company.

Well, there you have it! That's where I have been all month long! It looks like July isn't going to be much different - rodeo's, celebrations and more birthdays! I can't wait!

Back Up, Back Up, Back Up!!!!

I don't think I can say that enough. So, here's how the story goes. As I'm sure you all know I take a lot of pictures, and I mean A LOT!! At the first of the year I went through and saved all my digital pictures onto CD's just to make sure I have a back up of them. So I copied everything I had up until the end of 2007. I since haven't taken the time to back them up. Well, Saturday night we got home late and I was watching a movie and Mom went to get on the computer and she yelled at me and told me to come see what as wrong with the computer. When I went in to see what was wrong it had been hit by a virus. I messed with it for about an hour trying to uninstall the "file", but nothing seemed to help. At this point I felt okay because it was still letting me access my documents and get to all my pictures. So I went to bed, figured I'd better not mess with it anymore. So I got up earlier then usual on Sunday and messed with it for a while and thought that I would try and copy my pictures so that I wouldn't have to worry about losing them. Well, it wouldn't let me!! So I called Paul and asked if he could PLEASE come and HELP!!! He came over after church and we, okay Paul with me sitting watching and praying, starting working on it at about quarter to two. I told him how IMPORTANT it was that I get my pictures. That I didn't care what else I lost as long as I got my pictures. So we tried EVERYTHING, and I mean everything to get the pictures off. And it wouldn't let us do it. We tried running a program to clean it up but it didn't even detect the virus. So we started searching for others that would hopefully work. In the mean time Paul restored my computer...and after about 25 minutes it was back to it's original settings from when I bought it, but still with the virus and now with NO PICTURES!!! Yeah you heard me right...ALL my pictures were GONE!!! To put it lightly I FREAKED!!! I was bawling. I had just lost all of 2008! I had lost the video I had made about Grandma, I had lost all the pictures of her from her last five months. I had looked just last week and I had taken close to 5000 pictures since the start of the year and I had lost it all. I was kicking myself in the butt...why hadn't I taken the time to back them up? Why? And then...Mom came into my room and said come here...I went back into the computer room and some how Paul had got them all back!!! Oh my gosh!! How he did it I have no idea, but oh man was I glad! We finally found a program that got rid of the virus, ran all the new updates and it's back to normal, but probably cleaner then it was!! As soon as all the updates got done I backed up all those pictures. I wasn't about to risk the chance of losing them again!! So the moral of this whole long story...if you keep your pictures saved on your computer...BACK THEM UP!!! I'm going to be getting me an external hard drive this week so that I can just back up my whole system at least weekly and not have to freak if I happen to get another virus! So BIG THANKS to my miracle worker of a brother for saving my pictures and fixing my computer!!!

Let the Fun Begin!

It's offical, the REAL busy time of year has come. It's very rare for us to not have something everynight in June. Between the five birthdays, rodeos every weekend, keeping up the yard work and still making it to work we keep plenty busy. But we love it!!
So, we started out the "rodeo season" the last weekend in May out to the Fort Herriman Rodeo on Friday the 30th of May. Here's Dad and Mom enjoying the rodeo.
Saturday, May 31st we headed up to Woodland to spend some time with Grandpa and go and check on all the flowers up to the cemetery.
Dad, Mom and Grandpa.

Mom and Grandpa

We headed back to Salt Lake that afternoon so that Dad and Mom could head for Brigham City for a Class Reunion planning meeting. Before I left for the night I took a few pictures of one of our peonies. This particular peony usually comes in bloom before Memorial Day and is long gone by time Memorial Day comes, but not this year.

Once I got done taking some pictures I loaded up some of my scrapbooking goods and headed to Shannon's for a night of scrapbooking. We meant to take pictures...but got too busy chatting and scrapping. I didn't get a whole lot done, but at least I got some done. We are going to do it once a month and I'm totally looking forward to it. And we'll make sure to take pictures next time, and I will try to be a little more organized so that I don't have to take SO much stuff. I think Rylek was a little worried that maybe I was moving in with the amount of stuff I had.

Look who's 30!!! That's right Mark had his 30th birthday on June 1st!! We had Mark, Jessica, Paul, Laura, Kylie, Amber, Brody and Bridger over on Sunday to have dinner and celebrate Mark's birthday. That's a LOT of candles you guys better blow hard! Kylie, Brody, Bridger and Mark.

Kylie, Bridger and Mark

The peonies really came into bloom on Tuesday so I figured I'd better hurry and get some pictures because it was supposed to rain that night, and man am I glad that I did. Rain it sure did, and they didn't look near as big and full the next day.

Thursday the 5th Dad, Mom and I went to my boss's wife's viewing, she was only 46. She had a heart attack on Sunday the 1st and passed away. What a reminder that you just never know how short of time you may spend here on this earth. I went with the lady's I work with to the funeral on Friday.

With the weekend brings another rodeo. This weekend took us to Tooele to the Deseret Peak Stampede. Friday night was Tough Enough to Wear Pink night to support Breast Cancer Research. They gave out pink t-shirts to those wearing pink. Dad, Mom and I of course were wearing our pink because we are "Tough Enough"! We had to be even tougher because it was mighty chilly at the rodeo. So we bundled up and enjoyed the show. They always have fireworks after the rodeo and I must say that I think they put on the best after rodeo firework show of all the rodeos we go to. Friday night after the rodeo they had slack to run, so we decided that we might as well stay and watch. We ended up getting home at one in the morning. The pictures are from Friday night. Saturday Dad had to work and Mom and I ran around doing some errands and then went back out to Tooele to the rodeo. Mom got lucky Saturday night and won the Dodge drawing for a belt buckle, and is now entered into the drawing for a new Dodge. Mom's trying the positive thinking idea and is just sure she's going to win. She won't find out until the end of November though. We took much warmer clothing and blankets Saturday night and I was very glad. I think it was even colder that night.

After church on Sunday we rode up to Woodland and picked up Grandpa, stopped and got us something to eat at Dick's Drive In and then headed up Mirror Lake Highway. Dad's class is planning to hike Bald Mountain as part of their class reunion at the end of June. So we thought we would ride up and see just how much snow was still up there. Below is a picture of where you would turn in to park at the trail head. Mom and I are optimistic that the snow will be gone by then and they will be able to hike it, but Dad isn't so sure.

Grandpa, in the front and Mom and Dad in the back.

On the way back down we stopped at the Provo River Falls. They looked really pretty with all the water coming down.

You can see the falls over Grandpa's shoulder.

Grandpa had been stuck in the car for a while and had a little extra energy, so while we went down to take a couple pictures he went to town cutting up some wood! We finally got him to stop long enough to take a picture. Okay not really, but they have been cutting up a lot of wood and have it piled up along side the road and here at the falls.

Today, June 9th is Bridger's 4th Birthday! That's #2 for the month. We didn't celebrate tonight because he is not feeling so well. We will have to wait for him to feel a little better and then party it up for him.

After work and the gym when I got home tonight Mom and Dad were hard at it in the yard. Milly girl was just terrorizing the yard, and making sure that no one comes into her yard.

Here's the other peony. It is just barely coming out. It always is a little later then the other one, but not usually this late into the year. I love how you can see the stages of the peony in this picture. You can see the green ball in the top left side and then see a flower coming right next to the big one and then the big one that is all the way out. So pretty and they smell so good to! Mom and Dad work so hard on the yard and you can definately tell. It looks wonderful!
