It's offical, the REAL busy time of year has come. It's very rare for us to not have something everynight in June. Between the five birthdays, rodeos every weekend, keeping up the yard work and still making it to work we keep plenty busy. But we love it!!
So, we started out the "rodeo season" the last weekend in May out to the Fort Herriman Rodeo on Friday the 30th of May. Here's Dad and Mom enjoying the rodeo.

Saturday, May 31st we headed up to Woodland to spend some time with Grandpa and go and check on all the flowers up to the cemetery.

We headed back to Salt Lake that afternoon so that Dad and Mom could head for Brigham City for a Class Reunion planning meeting. Before I left for the night I took a few pictures of one of our peonies. This particular peony usually comes in bloom before Memorial Day and is long gone by time Memorial Day comes, but not this year.

Once I got done taking some pictures I loaded up some of my scrapbooking goods and headed to Shannon's for a night of scrapbooking. We meant to take pictures...but got too busy chatting and scrapping. I didn't get a whole lot done, but at least I got some done. We are going to do it once a month and I'm totally looking forward to it. And we'll make sure to take pictures next time, and I will try to be a little more organized so that I don't have to take SO much stuff. I think Rylek was a little worried that maybe I was moving in with the amount of stuff I had.
Look who's 30!!! That's right Mark had his 30th birthday on June 1st!! We had Mark, Jessica, Paul, Laura, Kylie, Amber, Brody and Bridger over on Sunday to have dinner and celebrate Mark's birthday. That's a LOT of candles you guys better blow hard! Kylie, Brody, Bridger and Mark.

The peonies really came into bloom on Tuesday so I figured I'd better hurry and get some pictures because it was supposed to rain that night, and man am I glad that I did. Rain it sure did, and they didn't look near as big and full the next day.

Thursday the 5th Dad, Mom and I went to my boss's wife's viewing, she was only 46. She had a heart attack on Sunday the 1st and passed away. What a reminder that you just never know how short of time you may spend here on this earth. I went with the lady's I work with to the funeral on Friday.
With the weekend brings another rodeo. This weekend took us to Tooele to the Deseret Peak Stampede. Friday night was Tough Enough to Wear Pink night to support Breast Cancer Research. They gave out pink t-shirts to those wearing pink. Dad, Mom and I of course were wearing our pink because we are "Tough Enough"! We had to be even tougher because it was mighty chilly at the rodeo. So we bundled up and enjoyed the show. They always have fireworks after the rodeo and I must say that I think they put on the best after rodeo firework show of all the rodeos we go to. Friday night after the rodeo they had slack to run, so we decided that we might as well stay and watch. We ended up getting home at one in the morning. The pictures are from Friday night. Saturday Dad had to work and Mom and I ran around doing some errands and then went back out to Tooele to the rodeo. Mom got lucky Saturday night and won the Dodge drawing for a belt buckle, and is now entered into the drawing for a new Dodge. Mom's trying the positive thinking idea and is just sure she's going to win. She won't find out until the end of November though. We took much warmer clothing and blankets Saturday night and I was very glad. I think it was even colder that night.

After church on Sunday we rode up to Woodland and picked up Grandpa, stopped and got us something to eat at Dick's Drive In and then headed up Mirror Lake Highway. Dad's class is planning to hike Bald Mountain as part of their class reunion at the end of June. So we thought we would ride up and see just how much snow was still up there. Below is a picture of where you would turn in to park at the trail head. Mom and I are optimistic that the snow will be gone by then and they will be able to hike it, but Dad isn't so sure.

On the way back down we stopped at the Provo River Falls. They looked really pretty with all the water coming down.

You can see the falls over Grandpa's shoulder.
Grandpa had been stuck in the car for a while and had a little extra energy, so while we went down to take a couple pictures he went to town cutting up some wood! We finally got him to stop long enough to take a picture. Okay not really, but they have been cutting up a lot of wood and have it piled up along side the road and here at the falls.
Today, June 9th is Bridger's 4th Birthday! That's #2 for the month. We didn't celebrate tonight because he is not feeling so well. We will have to wait for him to feel a little better and then party it up for him.
After work and the gym when I got home tonight Mom and Dad were hard at it in the yard. Milly girl was just terrorizing the yard, and making sure that no one comes into her yard.

Here's the other peony. It is just barely coming out. It always is a little later then the other one, but not usually this late into the year. I love how you can see the stages of the peony in this picture. You can see the green ball in the top left side and then see a flower coming right next to the big one and then the big one that is all the way out. So pretty and they smell so good to! Mom and Dad work so hard on the yard and you can definately tell. It looks wonderful!
