It's Been a Long Time

I have been a total slacker with keeping my blog updated this last month. Here it is time again for another new month. So before the new month starts I better catch up on the one that's about to end.
David, Stacey, Brooke and Emma Jane came in on Friday the 11th and spent the weekend with us. Saturday after Mom and I got back from the hospital it was such a nice day that we washed all the vehicles(Dave's truck, my car and Dad's truck). The girls asked if I would take them to the park when we got done washing the vehicles. Emma was pretty sure I wasn't ever going to get done.
She was trying to be as patient as possible.

Even though my car is 7 1/2 years old it still looks pretty good when she's all cleaned up.

Finally...we made it to the park.

Grandma got to go home after her surgery on the 16th. Paul was out of town so we had to go feed the horses so we rode out to check on Grandma and Grandpa as well.
Mom went up Friday to stay over with Grandma and Grandpa. We needed to move hay so Dad and I got up Saturday morning and headed for Kamas. Dad and I got the hay all uncovered and the hay all moved into the trailer. Dad and Paul got back into the stack and started putting the tarps back over the hay when we smelled a skunk. And then there he was...he came out from under the tarps. Don't ask how Dad and I managed to not get into him any sooner. I was just glad that he didn't spray. We let him go on his way so that we could finish up.
After we got done with the hay we rode out and checked on Mom, Grandma and Grandpa. Brody wanted us to come up to his house and watch them on their bikes. They were seeing who could skid their tires the farthest. They were having a good ole time.

Unforunately when Grandma came down for her doctor's appointment on Monday the 21st her platelet count was really low again so the doctor put her back in the hospital. On Tuesday they did a bone marrow test to see if they could figure out what is still causing her platelet count to drop so fast.

Mom's tulips have bloomed and look gorgeous.

I wish you could tell how big they are.

Grandpa and Grandma celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday the 26th.

Hopefully I covered everything. I'm ready for next month, and it's a good thing because it will be here shortly. I'll try to stay updated much better next month.

Playing Catch Up

Things have been rather quiet on the home front, well quiet for us. Still keeping rather busy with work, house work, yard work - pretty much just a bunch of work. Dad and Mom have been spending time out in the yard trying to get it all cleaned up. The tulips and daffodils are just about ready to pop open. I'm sure with the warm weather coming this weekend they will open right up.
I spent Monday the 31st out to Shannon's. I went out to just pick up my Scentsy order and drop off a couple of her scrapbooks and I ended up staying for like five hours. Then on Monday the 7th Shannon and I went over to Emily Fuller's. I see Shannon pretty regularly, but we still have a lot to talk about, but I haven't seen Emily since high school. It was fun to get together and look at pictures from high school and just reminisce about those days.
Kylie had another birthday on the 3rd. I can't believe it but she turned 13!! Wow!
She had to take a second to think of a really good wish. Good thing she didn't think much longer or Bridger would have had the candles all blown out.

I think someone needs to teach her how you hold a knife.

Friday the 4th my friend MyLinh and I went and I got a pedicure and she got her nails done. I hadn't had a pedicure for a very long time. Man it was so nice. I think I might have to look into getting that done a little more often. After that we met up with Sherie and went to dinner. Sherie and I went and saw Drillbit Taylor after dinner. It was a pretty funny show.

I was able to listen to quite a lot of general conference. How lucky are we to be able to have a living prophet on the earth that we have the opportunity to hear speak at least twice a year. Shannon and I were talking about conference, and that after you listen to the conference talks you always feel like you can be such a better person.

We needed to move hay again this weekend, so we timed it so that we could finish listening to conference on the drive up and then move the hay during the break. After we got done moving the hay we went out to Grandpa and Grandma Bisels to spend some time with them. We went back up on Sunday and celebrated Kylie's birthday and then spent the rest of the day with Grandpa and Grandma.

Grandma went in for surgery today to have her spleen and gallbladder removed. She went into the hospital yesterday and they started giving her blood and platelets so that they would be able to do the surgery. Things went well with the surgery. It took longer then they thought because of some issues that came up, but they got the spleen removed. Hopefully that will help her body to be able to do what it needs so that she can feel better.
