We spent a total of four days at the park: three days at Disneyland and one at California Adventure.
A maid at our hotel gave this hand me down balloon to Todd. Somehow Mya ended up with it and we dragged it around the park all day. It was pretty annoying until it got dark and we realized that it had a light inside that changed colors! That almost made it worth it, but we still made sure to leave it at the hotel the next day.
Owen was pretty excited about the horses pulling the trolley.
Owen was more excited about meeting Belle than even Mya was (although she did get pretty shy around all of the characters).
The Royal Theater was the best way to meet Rapunzel and Belle! You get to watch a funny little show and then if you stay after (and sit close to the right side) you only have to wait a few minutes with almost no line to meet the princesses.
Owen's first kiss.
Our kids did so well on the trip for being so sleep deprived! They slept great at night, took the occasional power nap in the stroller, and were generally happy and tantrum free in spite of the lack of regular naps.
I did the teacups while pregnant and didn't even get sick! Pretty proud of myself there.
Mya and I got extra spoiled by Mimi and Papa and got to go to the princess lunch at Arielle's Grotto.
I loved watching Mya's face light up when they announced the princesses and she watched them come out.
I don't have any pictures, but Mya was the perfect height this trip! She was tall enough to go on almost every ride and she was willing to try almost of all of them too! She went on Splash Mountain (was terrified), Soarin Over California (slightly less terrified and somewhat entertained), and the new ride at Cars Land (only a little scared and mostly happy). She still likes to tell me to pretend like we're on the Cars ride and to race other cars while I'm driving.
That same cutie was such a stinker at our hotel! She locked us out of the bathroom 4 separate times. It got a little bit embarrassing calling the front desk ("Hi, My daughter locked us out of our bathroom. Would you mind sending someone up to unlock it (again)?). The last time was right before we loaded everything in the car, but unfortunately my makeup bag was still in the bathroom! I told her she better try to unlock it because daddy was not going to be happy. It was so funny to watch her trying to get the door unlocked using the paper lid from one of the cups. She almost had it! Ha ha. I sure love that little stinker.
Owen passed out as soon as we hit the road for the trip home. Unfortunately it only lasted about 45 minutes again, but he slept really really well when we finally made it back to our house.
It was a busy, exhausting, and fun filled four days and we are so glad we got the chance to go. Thanks so much to my mom and dad for taking us!!
