Goodbye 2014, the worst year of my life...

This years sucked.

Period.

2014, I am glad it will be over tonight, and I can place everything about it to rest.

And for 2015, I get to start fresh and new. I don't know what God had planned for me, but I do know that I am going to win, no matter the odds or the opposition. Success is all about who is the MOST committed to what ever they want. Become committed to something bigger than you. I did and I survived my greatest personal nightmare that plagued me, and you can too. Just remember the light at the end of the tunnel isn't always a train, sometime it is the end of the darkness. Six Months without Carla...

I don't care what anyone says, it doesn't get easier. It only get tougher, because you miss them more each day. Nothing is worst than an empty bed without the love of your life in it. I have been living my personal worst nightmare and it doesn't get better. I wish I could have one more hour with you. I miss you Carla. Each and every moment. Talk to you later...

Today at 1:20 PM, Carla Pampellone Porter lost her battle with brain cancer and passed away. I want to thank everyone who kept us in their prayers during this difficult time. 

I love you Carla and being with you were the best years of my life. I can't tell you enough how much I will miss you. In this life or the next, you will always be loved by me. I miss you already.

Announcement from LPJ Design and Kickstarters

I wanted to send this email out to everyone who had backed up in any LPJ Design kickstarter donors on our current business status.  If you are not familiar and do not know, my wife Carla has a cancerous brain tumor which we have been dealing with over the last three years. Last week my wife admitted into where we discovered the tumor had grown to the point that she had no viable options left to battle the tumor.  We decided it was best to have my wife to return home and begin hospice care during her final days. 

I have decided to it is best to attempt to finish up any outstanding kickstarter project and release as much as I can, as soon as possible.  Some rewards that we offered are going to fall through the cracks. Those items specifically are going to be: the t-shirts, tote bag, book marks and map posters from any of the Free RPG Day 2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG kickstarter, Obsidian Apocalypse Campaign Templates for Pathfinder RPG kickstarter and NeoExodus Adventure: Origin of Man for Pathfinder RPG. Instead of those rewards, LPJ Design will be offering $35 in credit for any of the over 500 PDF LPJ Design has created.  Please feel free to look through our list of products at RPGNow.com to donors who were supposed to receive those rewards.  We will be contacting you further with instruction on how specifically we will be handling that.

We expect to have the Obsidian Apocalypse campaign setting PDF finished in the next few days which we will send out copies to the corresponding donors. We will also attempt to send off the file to get the B&W and color versions to press. As soon as these books are at press we will be asking for your address to send out these products.

We also expect to start mailing out the Free RPG Day 2013 NeoExodus Adventure for Pathfinder RPG kickstarter with dice as soon as possible so you can enjoy your reward.

In addition we are going to also place out upcoming Codex: Torment kickstarter on hold indefinitely during this trying time.  Thank you for your support and understanding during this lengthy and painful process we at LPJ Design are going through.

To my fantastic wife, Carla Pampellone Porter, who makes life worth living I say happy anniversary. This has been the best, craziest, exciting and important times of my life. I am so glad you have been there with me. Thank you for making all my dreams come true. I love you!

Carla and I have been dating on and off for that last 8 years. I know that sounds like a lot of time (and it is) but recently we have started talking about getting married and our future life together. I knew I wanted to marry Carla after a week of meeting her, but everything and anything seem to get in the way of our relationship. Now since we have pasted just about all the hurdles, now we are thinking it over again. All I can say is things work out for the way they should. Just be patient and persistant. Talk to you later...
