NeoExodus Chronicles: Debatable Actions -- Giving it away for free on Facebook

Here is something that was originally made for D20 Modern that I updated it for use with Pathfinder.  But I am now wondering if I am going to give this away for free as a beta version and get some feedback on this system we created.  I like this product and I think it could be a very well received product by Pathfinder fans.  But if I do release this, I am only going to release it as a link on our Facebook page.  Kind of a gift for the fans and people who support us.  I am big on supporting people who support us. I think it is important. Not just for the basic reason of doing right to people, it tells us we are doing good work here.  And that is all we are really trying to do, good work.  So join us on Facebook and you can get a free beta copy of Debatable Actions coming this weekend. It's just that simple.  Talk to you later...

Ten Thousand Bullets is coming out...only five or six years late...

Well I just saw this on Facebook, so I had to laugh a little bit.  Only five or six years after they first announced it, Ten Thousand Bullets looks like it might actually see the light of day. This was supposed to come out the same time as the D20 Modern version of Haven: City of Violence but it never did.  It seemed to enter Development Hell and that was the last I heard about it.  I was interested back then, but now it is just a interesting footnote in history to me of what NOT to do.  Talk to you later...

Half Pixel and Webcomics get it – Alliances and Partnerships are how you survive and grow

While looking at the morning Webcomic.com blog post, It hit me how smart the guys at Webcomic.com and Half Pixel are. They work as a unit promoting webcomics while at the same time promoting themselves and what they do. They do a “somewhat” weekly podcast about the industry and business of webcomics and best of all, they put out a book of how you can do it yourself. They have proved that alliances and partnerships are a strong business “weapon” that can be used by anyone; including you and me. I have a few partnerships with other PDF RPG companies who sell my products that look like products in the other companies gaming line. Why? It is a great way for them to make money (I pay them 15% of the sale to do it), they get to expand their product line without having to do anything, and lastly it is good for the industry as a whole by supporting each other. One song, many voices.

This ties in to directly what I am doing with the Creative Imprint Agency. Teaming up with other RPG PDF companies to help is all is a good thing. Just take a look at RPGNow.com and think about how many of the people listed there you could team up with and proved a whole new range of products. RPG Objects did it for years with Modern Dispatch. Just something for you to think about. Talk to you later…

An interesting trend with my PDF sales…

This one is for all the PDF OGL publishers out there. Over the last few months I have noticed, my D20/OGL fantasy sales have slowed (OK, this is no big thing since there is 4E and the economy is in the toilet.) BUT the weird thing is my D20/OGL Modern sales have taken off like a rocket. I mean the sales have taken off so much to the point of making me think I might have to put out some new D20/OGL Modern material out there. Like NOW!!!! Is this happening to anyone else? Drop a comment and let me know.

Supernatural .. might have to add that to the list

A very good friend of mine has been pushing Supernatural on me since the 2nd season. I have kind of been put it off saying, "Ok, OK I will get to it." But this week's episode was getting a little bit of press online since it was in the same vain as Assault on Precinct 13, so I decided to finally check it out. Well.... I like that. I like that A LOT. Looks like I am going to fire up BitTorrent this weekend and maybe play some D20 Modern with RPGObjects and my suppliments. Talk to you later...

Busy, busy, busy...Watching TV!

Well I just finished up watching season 6 of 24 and now I am off to watching the new Spike TV, drama (well it it is new to me) The Kill Point. Glad to see Spike TV is thinking about it future in the area of cable TV. With so many good "minor" networks with so many great show out there, this can only be helpful to gain more interest for them. Plus the show has four actors from The Wire on it, so I have to support it. After watch so much interesting stuff, I have been working on a few personal projects for Haven: Full Metal Zero. I am hoping to get these projects out by the end of the month. Just something nice to add to you D20 Modern espionage based games. Just wait it is coming. Talk to you later...

How watching 24 made me money...

I am currently watching season 6 of 24. I happened to miss half of it due to watching Heroes. That is the one thing that I really hate about TV without Tivo, you have to choose to pick what you are going to have to watch. 24 has been very good so far (I am about half way thru). The creators; Joel Surnow & Robert Cochran; have a great understanding of doing GREAT technothriller action. After creating and working on La Femme Nikita for 5 years they know what a great spy thriller should look and feel like. Plus this has really helped me with some ideas and projects I have been doing of late for Haven: Full Metal Zero and Sanctuary: City of Secrets. It has been nice to work on this change, since from the last 6 or more months I have been working on NeoExodus: A House Divided. Modern action adventure is always my favorite genre to do. So when I get a chance to go back and do it I always jump at it. Watching all this 24 has not got me excite for Season 7. I can't wait to see it. Talk to you later...
