Рудольф Левитин родился в 1940 г. во Владивостоке.Окончил Ленинградскую школу-десятилетку при консерватории по классу фортепиано у А.Я.Жуковской и затем поступил в Ленинградскую Государственную Консерваторию в класс профессора Н.Перельмана.В 1965 г. окончил аспирантуру в Ленинграде и отправился на преподавательскую работу в Дальневосточный Институт Искусств во Владивосток.
Со студенческих лет пианист принимает активное участие в концертной жизни Ленинграда и развивает эту деятельность на Дальнем Востоке,совмещая сольные выступления с преподавательской работой.
В 1968 г. Рудольф Левитин возвращается в родной город и активно начинает преподавательскую и исполнительскую деятельность.Он работает в Ленинградской Консерватории и активно концертирует как солист «Ленконцерта». 70 –е годы можно назвать творческим расцветом музыканта,он записывается на Ленинградском радио.телевидении,гастролирует по стране.
Среди его творческих партнёров можно назвать таких дирижёров как Равиль Мартынов,Павел Бубельников,Владислав Чернушенко,а также солист Академического Театра Оперы и Балета им.Кирова Владимир Киняев,с которым пианист совершил обширное турне по СССР.
Музыкант тесно сотрудничал и дружил с композиторами –современниками и огромная часть сольных программ включала произведения Г.Фиртича,М.Кажлаева,Ю.Фалика,А.Бабаджаняна и др.
Рудольф Левитин являлся ярким представителем ленинградской пианистической школы,его игру отличало необычайное чувство стиля и высочайшее исполнительское мастерство,что ставило его в один ряд с выдающимися ленинградскими пианистами того времени.
Жизнь музыканта трагически оборвалась в декабре 1982 г.,когда ему было всего 42 года.

In 1965 he completed his postgraduate studies in Leningrad, and went to work teaching in the Far East Institute for the Arts in Vladivostok.
From his student years, the pianist takes an active part in the concert life of Leningrad and develop these activities in the Far East, combining solo performances with teaching.
In 1968, Rudolf Levitin returned to his hometown and began actively teaching and performing activities. He has worked at the Leningrad Conservatory, and actively gives concerts as a soloist, "Lenkontserta." 70s can be called a creative flowering musician, he recorded at the Leningrad radio. television, touring the country.
His creative partners include such conductors as Ravil Martynov, Paul Bubelnikov, Vladislav Chernushenko, as well as the soloist of the Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet Kirov, Vladimir Kinyaev with which the pianist has made an extensive tour of the Soviet Union.
The musician has worked closely with composers and friends, contemporaries, and a huge part of the program included solo works G.Firtich, M.Kazhlaev, Y.Falik, A. Babadzhanyan etc.
Rudolph Levitin was a brilliant representative of the Leningrad piano school, his game featured an extraordinary sense of style and superior performance skills, putting it on par with the outstanding pianists of that time Leningrad.
The life of a musician was tragically cut short in December 1982, when he was only 42 years old.

Рудольф Левитин родился в 1940 г. во Владивостоке.Окончил Ленинградскую школу-десятилетку при консерватории по классу фортепиано у А.Я.Жуковской и затем поступил в Ленинградскую Государственную Консерваторию в класс профессора Н.Перельмана.В 1965 г. окончил аспирантуру в Ленинграде и отправился на преподавательскую работу в Дальневосточный Институт Искусств во Владивосток.
Со студенческих лет пианист принимает активное участие в концертной жизни Ленинграда и развивает эту деятельность на Дальнем Востоке,совмещая сольные выступления с преподавательской работой.
В 1968 г. Рудольф Левитин возвращается в родной город и активно начинает преподавательскую и исполнительскую деятельность.Он работает в Ленинградской Консерватории и активно концертирует как солист «Ленконцерта». 70 –е годы можно назвать творческим расцветом музыканта,он записывается на Ленинградском радио.телевидении,гастролирует по стране.
Среди его творческих партнёров можно назвать таких дирижёров как Равиль Мартынов,Павел Бубельников,Владислав Чернушенко,а также солист Академического Театра Оперы и Балета им.Кирова Владимир Киняев,с которым пианист совершил обширное турне по СССР.
Музыкант тесно сотрудничал и дружил с композиторами –современниками и огромная часть сольных программ включала произведения Г.Фиртича,М.Кажлаева,Ю.Фалика,А.Бабаджаняна и др.
Рудольф Левитин являлся ярким представителем ленинградской пианистической школы,его игру отличало необычайное чувство стиля и высочайшее исполнительское мастерство,что ставило его в один ряд с выдающимися ленинградскими пианистами того времени.
Жизнь музыканта трагически оборвалась в декабре 1982 г.,когда ему было всего 42 года.
