Griet

Often when you saw pictures of me and my friends, you saw a picture of Rien, Huguette, Jeffrey, Griet and me. Griet will leave us now, cause she found a job as a Host. She'll be working for Thomas Cook and is leaving to another country. I sure gonne miss her. But I'm glad for her that she found a job. I wish you good luck Griet.

Rotterdam

Sunday I went visiting a chatfriend in Rotterdam. We did have a very nice time. It was nice to visit the picturemuseum there, although I had expected much more from it. After that I went windowshopping a bit, and I had a nice meal with Riley in a Dutch restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful day Riley!

Songs...

Wanne share some songs I like. Well, those ones here I heard a lot in the car while in Germany. We goofed a lot with a Dutch song called.... "heb je even voor mij" from Frans Bauer... But here some of Celine Dion I like: 10 days - Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)- I'm alive. Those songs are from her album a new day has come.

CELINE DION - Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)
I did not know there was a plan
Somewhere a perfect man
I don't believe in the stars
Then you smiled at my pretense
As you broke down my defenses
Just want to be where you are
Love ain't like fashion
The look remains the same
I'll wear your heart forever
'Cause some things never change
Like rain, tax
After lightning the thunder cracks
(It's inevitable)
Sooner or later it had to come true
Like rain, tax
Weeds grow up through the pavement cracks
(It's inevitable)
You see what I want
What I want is you
Thought that life was logical
Love was a miracle
That happened to someone else, not me
Baby, I must've said a little prayer
Suddenly I looked up and you were there
And the rest is history
I don't want to be an island anymore
Just resign yourself
'Cause there's one thing for sure
Like rain, tax
After lightning the thunder cracks
(It's inevitable)
Sooner or later it had to come true
Like rain, tax
Weeds grow up through the pavement cracks
(It's inevitable)
You see what I want
What I want is you
It had to be you
It had to be you
Say you'll be here forever
You and me here together
When will you see what I want
What I want is you
Like rain, tax
After lightning the thunder cracks
(It's inevitable)
Sooner or later it had to come true
Like rain, tax
Weeds grow up through the pavement cracks
(It's inevitable)
You see what I want
What I want is you
Like rain, tax
After lightning the thunder cracks
(It's inevitable)
Sooner or later it had to come true
Like rain, tax
Weeds grow up through the pavement cracks
(It's inevitable)
You see what I want
What I want is you

Books

I wanne tell a bit about the books I did read lately. The 1st one is called: "de harde waarheid" by Daniël Hallock. In English the book is called: "Six Months to Live : Learning from a Young Man with Cancer." As the title reveals it's about a young guy (age 22) that suddenly got cancer and how he dealt with the whole stuff. It's a very nice and uplifting book. It's a book that makes you think over the essentials of life, worth reading for sure.

The second book I wanne mention is called: "2x genade" by Harold Morris (Dianne Barker). In English: "Twice Pardoned." It's about a guy that had some bad friends, and due to them got in prison for murder although he didn't commit a murder. He had to stay there for several years. In prison he became a christian. He normally never would get free, cause he had received twice a lifesentence. But with God nothing is impossible. Nice book, when you begin, you wanne read it till the end!

some pics of our trip to Germany

a little bit of everything

Last week I went to Germany with my friends. On thursday we celebrated Huguette's birthday. Rien had organised a party in her favorite restaurant. He had invited friends and colleagues of her, and she didn't know of anything, it was a real surprise for her, and she sure did enjoy it.

The day after her birthday we went to Germany. Huguette surprised us with a lovely week-end. When we arrived we 1st had to go and shop a bit. We didn't do too bad, actually we found that Germany isn't that expensive, we spent like 100€ on food for 5 people (some years ago we spended 12.000 bef, that's like 300€ on food for one week, in France). During the weekend we went walking, swimming, etc... we also visited Echternach in Luxemburg. So we did more then one country. Monday we shopped a whole day in Köln. It was late when we drove back home. We almost got locked up in our parkingplace. And another detail.... we had to push the car because of a dead battery on mondaymorning.... we have again storries too tell, and that's what we sure do like!

Newyearsparty

Yesterday we did have our newyearsparty with our church. It was really cool. We had a potluck for dinner, and believe me, there was really plenty too eat.

In the afternoon everyone could participate in the programm with a poem, a song, etc... I presented the whole stuff, it really was a blessed day.

My little niece did sing a song as well. She did a good job, singing for a whole audience, only being 4 years old. I really was proud of her!
