This weekend I've been raking leaves. Oakleaves, because we have plenty of oakleaves. Most of them are put in the compost bin, but I've also used some to cover outdoor cultivations. Like in this picture - underneath the dry grass and leaves there are small Jerusalem artichokes, waiting for spring...
This time of year it's often leaves that catch the eye, since most flowers are long gone. Some leaves are extremely beautiful!
Kronnäva (frösådd av Katherine Adele) /Geranium x oxonianum (seedling of Katherine Adele)
Biokovonäva /Geranium cantabrigiense 'Biokovo'
Rugosahybrid 'Wasagaming' / Rosa rugosa 'Wasagaming'
The colours of autumn are awesome and I do hope that we wont have any really cold spells as yet. It's lovely to be able to enjoy the fascinating foliages.
