came down to Petersen Museum to drop off these two for the exhibition called "Custom Revolution" curated by Paul d'Orleans.

ピーターセン乗り物博物館にてPaul d'Orleans氏によるCustom Revolutionというエキシビションに25台のカスタムバイクが展示されるそうで、その中にニードルとエクセルシアも選んでくださったので、いそいそと搬入にやって来た。

and of course, we checked all over the museum ☺

なぜいそいそしているのかと言うと、新しくなった博物館をくまなく散策したいから。

spent pretty happy time here and very honor to be able to display Shinya's motorbikes here along with other masterpieces.

博物館でステキな形のものを鑑賞して過ごすひと時というのはまったくもってしあわせである。そして他の素晴らしいカスタムバイクと共に自分の作ったものがここに飾ってもらえてとても嬉しい、と木村氏。

came down to the local Thursday night drag racing at Irwindale Speedway because we needed to refill/regain the sounds, the smells of racing gas, all those racing elements and spirits.

近所のスピードウェイで毎週やってる木曜草ドラァッグ・レース。音とかレースガスの匂いとか、そろそろ色々注入してレース・モードを取り戻さなきゃ。

Carroll Shelby birthday cruise-in...

came down to Petersen Automotive Museum to celebrate Shelby's birthday and legacy and, of course, to indulge in some of the fastest, rarest and most beloved Shelby's of all time 😊

キャロル・シェルヴィーのバースデーを祝ってクルーズ・インがあるというので早起きしてピーターセン乗り物博物館までやって来た。

コブラ、コブラ、コブラ。

 shinya's fave is always a well-beaten one.

木村氏はこのピカピカじゃないオリジナル・コブラに釘付け。

shinya and Wata (Taka) were glued to this original cobra.

やっぱりこれが気になる。ここからまったく動かなくなる木村氏とWタナベ氏。

the layers of the history...not bought.

毎年更新時に貼るステッカーの厚み。当たり前だけどやっぱり歴史は買うものじゃないなあって思った。

20年ほど前にフルカスタムしたという、木村氏のコブラのミニカー。ミニカーってところがなんか泣ける。実物をいっぱい観た後、「俺にはホットウィールで十分だな・・・」と言ってこれを出してきた木村氏。くぅぅぅ泣ける。
