This would also be great to give Halloween gifts/snacks to friends and neighbors in! It Is What It Is made these freely available to everyone and explains how to run a paper bag through your printer. (She had other freebies too!)

Guest Blogger - Budget Wise Home - Wrapping Station

Hi, my name is Heidi Smith from Budget Wise Home.

I'm so happy to be guest posting today. My blog is all about decorating your home on a budget. I post a new budget decorating tip M-F and find you new budget home decor items each week. My goal is to help you realize that you can create a beautiful home on a very tight budget.

$20.00 Wrapping Station

I'm so excited to show you guys this project. It only took me one day to do and cost me just under $20.00! It has been the perfect solution for keeping all my wallpaper, wrapping paper, and ribbon neat and organized.

Here are the supplies you need to do make this:
1. Screw-In Hooks
2. One piece of 1 x 2 wood, cut to size
3. Wooden Dowels
4. White Spray Paint
5. 4 Screws & 4 Dry Wall Anchors
6. Drill

I bought one box of these hooks and spray painted them white. I'm not a big fan of the gold, but that's all the hardware store had.

I also spray painted these wooden dowels white. These were longer than what I needed, so I cut them down with our saw once they were dry. I got these at Home Depot for about $1.40 each. If you don't have a saw, just figure out your measurements beforehand and ask someone at the store to cut them for you.

I bought this 8 ft. piece of MDF and had them cut it in half for me. You need two equal size pieces. I liked this piece over the unfinished wood because it was really straight and even. It comes already white like this, so I didn't need to use spray paint here.

Drill one hole at each end of the board, about 1 inch in from both the top and bottom. Your screws will go in these holes and atttach to the wall. Then drill holes about 4 inches apart down the rest of the board for the hooks.

To attach to the wall, drill your holes in the wall and then hammer in the dry-wall anchors. Put the board on top and attach one screw at both the top and bottom of each piece. My husband helped me attach this to the wall, making sure both pieces were level and even.

Screw the hooks into each hole.

Here are my freshly painted white dowels.

Just put your paper and ribbon through the dowels and set each one into the hooks. Easy does it!

It's so nice to finally have an organized and functional home for all this stuff. I just smile every time I look at it.
If you can drill a hole, then you can easily do this! And you can't beat the price tag on this one either.

Happy Wrapping!
