Rustic Wood Planter Box

Pin It  I'm getting for some daffodils to bloom!   I would love it if they could bloom inside my house in a rustic planter like Make Life Lovely created.  The industrial hard ware and worn wood look great with fresh flowers.

Raised Gardens!

Our garden hasn't done very well the last few years.   I have some ideas why.  The soil isn't great and it doesn't get as much sun as it needs AND the deer sneak in once or twice and do some damage.  BUT, I keep thinking that if I did a raised garden like It's Overflowing in a different part of our yard, the outcome could be different.   This post has tons of great information about doing a raised garden.

DIY Above Ground Planters on Wheels

Two Friends. Two Cities. built these above the ground planter/garden boxes on wheels. They can move them around in different shapes to create different looks or move them to new locations quite easily - even when they are full of dirt! What an awesome idea.

Easy Tiered Planter Garden

Make an EASY tiered planter garden perfect for herbs or flowers or something else. Whenever I've tried planting herbs in my regular garden, they get stomped on or eaten by the deer. This might be the solution to that problem. White Water Crafting shows you how!

Magic Jellybean Turn Into Lollipop Easter/Spring Activity

Last Easter, we did this activity for our kids! They LOVED it! Looks like it will be a tradition for us. I hope it becomes a tradition for you too!

Just like Nothing But Country, we planted some "magic jelly beans" the night before Easter. We didn't have this cute FREE downloadable jellybean packet from Nothing But Country. I'm adding it to our new tradition.

The next morning, the kids walked out to the dirt where we planted the jellybeans and there stood some giant lollipops. I bought the lollipops at Walgreens for $1 (I think.) The kids were amazed.

Download the FREE "Magic Jellybean" packets for this fun Easter or Spring activity.

4 Spring Planting Ideas!

. .
With it now being spring, now is the time to look for early planting ideas and cute gardening ideas. I found four to help you get started with your plants!
.
Use newspaper (or other paper) to make planters for seeds. The thing I like about this idea is that you don't have to take the plant out of the newspaper when you bury it in the ground. The newspaper will dissolve! See this at Cottage Hill.

Use an ice cube tray as a place to plant those seeds until the weather gets warmer and plants get bigger. See this and other spring planting ideas at Silly Simple.

Turn plain terra cotta pots into adorable chalkboard herb planters with Scissors and Spatulas.
