Really wish I had the lossless files for this show to share with you, but I have not been able to locate a lossless source. One of the earliest recorded shows from Loggins & Messina. The band was opening for New Riders Of The Purple Sage, which explains Kenny Loggins covering "Friend Of The Devil". Kenny slows this tune to a ballads pace and is allegedly the reason The Grateful Dead change their version of the song in later performances. At any rate this great sounding recording made by the legendary Betty Cantor and well worth a listen or two.

Roots Of Heavy Metal post # 10

New Wave Of British Heavy Metal Legends Satan released their first LP Court In The Act in 1983. This ground breaking release is considered to be a big influence on the Thrash/Speed Metal genre. The band went through quite a few line-up changes since it's formation but is now touring with the original line-up. The bands name has changed a few times as well. Satan became Blind Fury in 1985 and released the Out Of Reach LP. Then released Suspended Setence in 1987 again as Satan. In 1988 the band became known as Pariah and released 3 LP's under that moniker before breaking up. The band reformed as Satan in 2004 to play the Wacken Open Air Festival. The reunion became permanent in 2011. Since then Satan has released 2 new studio LP's 2013's Life Sentence and 2015's Atom by Atom.
