2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

I never expected the first live action G.I. Joe film to be a masterpiece. I don't think any of us did. Heck, I didn't even expect it to be good. Turns out the movie fell somewhere between bad and good for me. GI Joe The Rise of Cobra just....exists. That's not necessarily a bad thing. The movie spawned a nice assortment of action figures and a video game. It was also cool to see Joe coloring books, comics and cake toppers up and down department store toy aisles. Was it short lived? Yes. Did G.I. Joe become mainstream popular again? No. But It was a nice little ride, while it lasted. 

When you say the name G.I. Joe or even Cobra for that matter,Major Bludd hardly ever comes to mind. At least not these days ,anyways. It's all about Destro , Cobra Commander and the infamous Cobra ninja Storm Shadow. No love for Bludd,tho :( And he was such a cool character ! That menacing fu manchu mustache and the eye patch ! And lest we forget the dog tags , that  cool looking blaster and robotic arm! Major Bludd was so bad ass he didn't even sport a  Cobra faction insignia . Also...MAJOR BLUDD...COOLEST NAME EVER! I know they killed him off In Resolute but I'm not exactly sure where his character stands In the comics . He definitely needs to make a comeback IMO.  Ughh..packing sucks!!!

Another great G.I. Joe 25th Ann. figure,I believe this Is v.18. This version of Destro came In the Mass Device three pack that also included Roadblock and Lady Jaye. As you can tell It is based on the cartoon ,hence Destro's grey boots and silver gloves. The original Destro action figure that released In 1983 had black gloves and black boots.

Copperhead was one of those figures most kids never had because  he came packaged with the Water Moccasin. Unless you were fortunate enough to have your parents buy you that vehicle ,you were crap out of luck because Copperhead figures weren't sold individually. This Is his modernized ,G.I Joe 25th Ann. version and It's insanely cool! Damn,gotta love that color scheme!Copperhead Is just  badass !

I gotta say,I'm excited but at the same time worried .We are finally getting a stand alone Snake Eyes film. But will It be any good? In my opinion ,probably not good enough for the die hard fans. We will always find something to nitpick . I really like the military aspect of Snake Eyes's backstory  and I think they're going to go full on Ninja fighter for this one. Again ,I love Ninja so If they do decide to go that route ,I'll be cool with it.If you guys don't already know , Henry Golding (the guy in the middle) will be playing Snake Eyes. To be honest ,I don't know much about him.I'll have to do my research. Robert Schwentke (Divergent,Insurgent , etc.)  will be the director so that could be a good thing. Only time will tell. I will say that I haven't been this stoked about a film release since Captain America First Avenger! Also,from what I've heard ,the designers of Fortnite figures will be working with Hasbro on the movie figures.6 ...

A trio of what I believe are 50th Ann. Iron Grenadiers. 50th Ann. Cobra Commander and 25th Ann. Scuba Gear Baroness. Two figures I absolutely love are Heavy Duty and Stiletto.I'll be going over Stiletto a little more in depth In a future post. One of the things I liked the most about Stiletto was the write up on  her file card.  

Of the three figures you see here , I'm most excited about Destro .  I've never had a contemporary Destro figure but always needed one . I'm not sure which version this one is . I'm guessing 25th ann. and probably from a multipack ? The figure I'm most surprised about Is Major Bludd .  I like this guy alot more In hand than I do In pictures.I can't wait to do a group pic alongside my Ultimate Cobra Commander , 50th Zartan and Ultimate Storm Shadow figures! It's no surprise that I'm a Snake Eyes collector so I was super stoked to find this version In the trade box!The Quick Kick and Alpine figures I'm absolutely crazy about!  Here we have an unreleased JP figure  , and exclusive Outback and 25th Ann. Matt Trakker figure . At first I thought the Outback was one of Brothermidnight's customs but come to find out , It's a pretty rare exclusive. I've known about the Jurassic Park figure but never thought I'd own one.In fact,...

Of all the 3 3/4 action figures I own ,I found that Marvel Universe and vintage Joe's work the best with the Elite Force Attack Vehicle.  My Marvel Universe Night Ops team! Vintage Joes work ,too!
