Day 2: Sabah

Pulau Manukan.
From Kota Kinabalu, it's a 15 minutes journey on speed boat. Transportation + taxes will cost around RM26-30 per adult.

The jetty:

There are a few other islands around this island. The shore is very clean and water soooo clear... takbley tahan beb!

Arrival!

Some Photos: Chalets are available. Plus equipments for snorkeling, swimin and diving are also available for rent.

Tell me.... Ini Akuarium ke apa? Huhuh.. again... takbley tahan lorrr....
These kids were swimmin n diving away like they belonged to the sea... i think they are locals... amazed giler tengok mereka selam begitu sahaja... envy! :D and dgn ramah mesra nya... striking a pose... can see the pack of fish no? geram menggigit jari. Oh yaa... btw... if u don't want to be surrounded by these fishiokia, there are other spots as well... dip in n swim all u want...
Since the water is so clear... and in the midst of excitement... I forgot that it's salty (ingat swimmin pool ka apa)... and swallowed a handsome lot of saltiness... gulp... sungguh enak dimakan begituu sajaa...

Kinabalu Park.... where the Mount Kinabalu lies...

Family trip with a toddler and a kiddo... of cos we didnt hike or climb da mountain aar... For sightseeing purpose, there's botanical garden and some tourist information outlets. We walked to the botanical garden only to decide not to go in the garden coz we had to hike further... just moved on with the sopan walkway back to the entrance. Trail/walkway yang sopan adalah seperti ini:
I kept me self occupied with da floras...
The map showing ways around the park. Looks like someone's trying to teach me how to read the map from upside down.... hohohoho....

Kundasang
Fresh vege n fruits.
Eureka! I found this! Ze fruit you can't find in Peninsula. It's known as Tarap... Not Durian or Cempedak mahupun Nangka.. its Tarap... only in Sabah, Sarawak and some say Kalimantan.

Jeng jeng Jeng.... inilah Tarap! upclose n personal:

We couldnt see the mountain earlier at the park as it was foggy. By the time fogs cleared, we were on our way back from Kundasang. We were lucky we caught the sight of this highest mountain in Malaysia. Maka... we stopped by pekan mabalu, which has an observation deck built to observe this: Marbeles... cantik... but ayoyooo.. tingggi bah... macam mana mau daki ini??
Tak mampu daki takpa... janji ada gaya....

There r some other places we visited / dropped by... this is kinda random trip... Rent a car and start the engine... vrrr.vrrr vrrroomm... Family trip... but we arrived in different flights, with 30minutes difference. Sungguh laaa kreatip kan...

Yang tak tahan tu.... dengan konfidennya... my sis and I beli la tiket air asia dan MAS campur-campur, thinking we would arrive and depart from the same place... bila dah landing, rupa-rupanya K.K juga ada 2 airport... OMG...haha...

departure... I travelled back alone with the Kotak berisi Ikan-ikan, ketam, sotong yang fresh. Sangat murah dan fresh weh, no pixxies coz I didnt follow em to the wet market... After sending them to the 2-hours-earlier-than-mine flight, went back to Pasar K.K to get some last minutes items... ehehe... before heading back to terminal Mas with the I-so-hope-this-thing-tak-terbocor kotak.

Dun worry fellas... I survived the journey :P~

so dat explains why Omyn saw my mom with the kiddos and the rest, but not me... Yaa... just too cute to be true, kan....

Coming back home...
So... what did I get for me selff:
Lots of blink-blings... I lykee! I am crazy about these stuff... so apa lagik! Yipppie.. aku heppi...

Ohyaaaaaaaa...
Buah Tarap... kitorg belik untuk cubajaya:
Ooooo..... beginikah rupa beliau.... tapi rasa buah ini sedang-sedang aja dong. Aku penasaran (teringin) durian lepas makan Tarap... I desperately needed to feast on the King of fruitz (kalo mat salleh mesti kata Killer of fruits) Hahahhaa...

Maka... just now... beli ini kat Kuala Perlis... Yes, was in Perlis tadi.. after smalam berada di Sabah, Selangor dan Penang dalam masa sehari... aku rasa aku sudah lalok perjalanan weh!

Jadi Murid-murid....
MUSIM DURIAN IS AROUND THE CORNER!!!!!!!!

Day 1: Sabah

Came back from a short holiday in Sabah. With this, I have completed my cuti-cuti Malaysia, visited all states in Malaysia.

Some highlights dulu. Will cerita ceriti later in Second post... masih penat from travelling... from K.K sabah to KL.. from KL drove back to Penang....

Updated...

First of all, membaca balik apa yg aku post sungguh la menegakkan bulu roma... dlm keadaan mengantuk entah apa entah aku membebel... merepek2 sahaja frasa dan klausa kata ku...

Heritage Village, next to the State Museum.

One of the popular places for shopping.
Inset pix(left): Shops selling pearl n crystal based accessories.
Inset pix (right): Food from the sea... dried version....

Pantai Tg Aru...
Soft beach sand. Notice the different shade from the sky reflected to the sea.

Dinner... nyam nyam.... Sotong bakar
Inset pix (left): Some seaweed
Inset pix(right): Cicah pelam

Huhu.... wait??? is the fish green in color??? wait wait....

We didnt realise it until we almost finish the fish... upon discovering the fact that Ikan Batu is actually green in color... we can no longer eat... Hehee.. it is delicious... but thinking of how much it must have looked like one of our fishes in the aquarium, killed our apetite. Nasib baik dah makan dekat abes... ehehhehe...

Then going back.. we saw this... dats ikan batu (with the very greeeeen tail)... and we were like 'how come we didnt see it before'... ehehhe... im sleeepy.. im gonna edit this post later... need to rest now...

Lompat si katak lompat...

Sometimes I blog-hop. My definition of blog-hop, is visiting blogs by people outside my reallife network of friends. Out of boredom, there are some blogs I randomly hop into from links etc. I visit some of these blogs occasionally, whose owners are witty and funny in their writings. Do I leave comments? Yes… once in a blue moon (when I feel like doing so), using my ID. But I'd try avoid from commenting on controversial issues, coz I hate getting entangled in online-debates.

I gave up on political blogs, no matter which side/party/ideology they are on. I especially hate the parts where some anonymous or some hardcore of some groups will comment/bring out sensitive issues like racism at every possible chance they get. I still believe in semangat muhibbah, so please spare me.

There are blogs that blogs about being cool and happening, and usually they revolve around Partying and alcohols in abundance… Would read a few posts, and I’ll never go back. Of course, they are free to blog any way they like. But since I can’t relate to anything, I won’t be going back, hehehehe…

Blogs about photography… amateur or professional… love em. Hehe…

Some bloggers devote themselves to cursing. In order to show their emotions and anger… they curse more than any south park series could offer, or use some bombastic devilish words. Then again, they have their rights over their own blogs. We are aware that there’r no predefined rules in blogging, so it's our choice: to read or not to read. If we don't like the blogger's way of presenting a blog, I think we just have to click "x" and leave the site, rather than condemning them (comment space / chatbox etc). Commenting / leaving opinion is ok, but condemning usually just heat things up or become even worse.... unless u memang love controversies n fight-fight :P haha

Comment space… Some are colorful with debates, fights… As mentioned, there are no particular rules as to how to go about in the blogosphere. The only rules are usually set by the blog owner, if applicable.

What do I get by blog hoping? Reading so many thoughts and opinions about certain issues… they can be pretty knowledge packed but at the same time, can be waste of time. Then again, nobody forcing me to click and read it, kan :P Recently, I have limited my readings and commenting to list of blogs written by my friends, which now becomes my daily dosage :D I bloghop once a while, but this habit is predicted to be decreasing since my workload is mounting these days.

The reason I blog is the same reason why I read my friends’ blog. To keep in touch, read/write updates, to share some stories or issues with them. Since it’s a public blog, it is open and accessible for everyone and any one. I doubt if I have returning readers that I don’t know personally. If there are, I warmly welcome you and thanks for reading or viewing this ordinary, nothing-glamorous-blog :P The purpose of this blog is merely to write my thoughts and updates. They may be insignificant, but it has been serving me all these while for a good cause = siok sendiri :P Hahaha…

I write from my personal views but usually, I don’t write much about very-verry personal stuff. I can be critical at times, but I definitely hope they are not harsh. Througout my blogging years, If I had in any way hurt people's feeling in my writings, I sincerely apologize.

Well, that’s my take;-)

Happy Blogging you all.

Jalan-jalan Isi Lemak

Amaran: Very Long Post
Roti Bakar Telur Satu!

Oh Tidak...

Antara list of things bought by some of us:
1. buku coloring untuk kanak-kanak
2. eraser bentuk haiwan yang ada kaki
3. mercun pop-pop
4. dinosor plastik
5. seluar track imitation yang sungguh lawa
6. pil chi kit teck aun
7. etc...

Lokasi Ke-3:

Nak tau kenapa... kenalah cuba makan dulu ;-)

Memang kenyang dan puas hati lah....

Selepas makan... kita kena lah rehatkan perut, ye dok?

Lokasi ke-4: Pantai Robina, Butterworth

Lokasi ke-5: Buah Cicah, Butterworth

Eeeeeeeee.... Sedap.... sangat suka....

Lokasi ke-6: Rumah Nando & Emme, Perda Bt Mertajam

Lokasi ke-7: Juru - Nasi Ketam

Menariknya tempat ini, adalah ia betul-betul bersebelahan jeti nelayan... or you can say, kinda attached to it.
Permandangan matahari mula terbenam. *kawasan paya bakau.

At the end of the day, semua orang pulang dengan kekenyangan dan heppi.

Spread the love

1. The person who tagged you
Jessie Chiang Ling See… I’m excited to do this tag coz she responded to my previous tag pretty efficiently

2. Your relationship with him/her
Secret online obsession to each other, which is not a sikret anymore now eh :P

3. Your 5 impressions of him/her
Lovely, Friendly, Bubbly, Artistic, Optimistic

4. The most memorable thing he/she had done for you?
There was this once, I posted our HighSchool photos, creating demam rindu among us. Then she wrote a piece of her own version, acknowledging me in the post (alongside Jane and San). She wrote about her late best fren, ChiaYee and it really touched us. We lost another friend from the same incident, Huey Chin. Reading it brought back memories of her, and most importantly allowed me to get to know ChiaYee, which I never got the chance to. It was a beautiful piece.

5. The most memorable thing he/she had said to you
Hehehe… quite a number… from her comments in Friendster, facebook, and Blogs. Some encouraging, motivating ones; some funny ones… memorable ones. She said I am modelesque… alamak.. paiseh2…

11. Your overall impression of him/her is
During the times we were kinda strangers to each other, something drew me to this girl, and that was her take on arts (photography). Although she looked like she was gonna run every time she saw me, she didn’t. She was cooperative and friendly. Bet still is. She’s very open and not judgmental, that explains how she manages to keep in touch with quite a number of us although parted geographically. She has the jovial personality and warmth that makes people feel comfortable with her.

12. How would you think people around you will feel about you?
Depends on when they get to know me, when I was younger, teenager, or as an adult. As an adult, those who don’t know me in person usually think I am unapproachable or arrogant (no idea why)… Who knows me well, usually think I am either crazy or happy go lucky. Contradicting alright… I’m a walking mystery :P

15. The most ideal person you want to be is
Just being ME, but constantly improving myself on those characters I didn’t want to reveal just now.

16. For people who care and love you, say something to them
Maybe I don’t often say this out loud… but I Love you too people :D

17. Pass this test to 10 persons who you wished to know how they feel about you.

These 10 people are in my blog-roll, sorted from their latest posts, eliminating those already tagged by Jessie. Some of them have not updated their blog for quite some time… busy etc. But would love to see them update… but they have to realize I’ve tagged them, don’t they…Hehe… Peeepss…Listen up… I tag u olls nieeee…

Actually for Muslim names in Malaysia, we don’t really use surname. In any case, the father’s name would be used as the surname. She is in UK, therefore she needs a surname :-) She goes by Malim now.

29. What is the hobby of no. 10?

Enjoying her honeymoon with her hubby in Japan.
I can't beliv I did all 38 questions. Read: dasyat dan hebat :P

Marilah kita menampal Poster untuk berkempen...

Ok ... i'm bored... and I cant sleep... i hope by the time I end this post.. my eyes will turn panda-ishh... pleasseee do... pleasee...

Ran into this 'poster' I did last year while browsing thru my other fotopage.
This one taken during our Kerachut trip.
I wanted to portray these guys differently with a konon-konon catchy line.

these guys are different from each other.. only similarities I can think of, all 3 of them got married last year :D haha...
Of cos.. all of us... We ARE Different... (unless u want to be a some copycat material... which u should not... coz u should define ur own personalities without being clouded by other external entities... ) ok.. I am crapping to make myself doze off... haha.. nice try, azleena... (duh.. and now... i'm taking to myself?)

Anyways... I have some series of this so called posters, but I never had them labelled as posters or put together in a folder ke apa laa... They just end up in any folders they came from...

Hehehe.. Yaa.. sebenarnya... Itulah hobi saya... mengedit gambar untuk menggembirakan hati sendiri... Huhuhu...
Some end-up as this so-called posters version

Uitss... kenapa itu "see-no-evil" curi tulang ka? itu curi-curi tgk jugak? evill too tempting eh?

some just a normal photo, edited with some effects on...

Let's look at my feverets...from my oldies archive.
Like this one: (candid shot)... Love this.. her expression is just so intense and like looking into the future gitu...
Or this... (posed version) this one didnt go thru extreme editing.. haha.. I came across this picture and remembered how much I love it... showing the model in you, Jane... so naturale, walla...

Ouh... and I also have errrr.... ciplak versions of "sound-alike" movie posters... hope this does not fall into a copyright crime or anything... yaa.. like this one: (anyone can make another movie with this name rite? kan... kan?) huhu
This title, for sure... not taken yet... so any interested producers?? Pelakon dah ada nie :D

Haha.. great... Mataku sudah mula layu... yeahhh... jom titok... yeeehaaaa......

reincarnation of a bookworm

Went to the library (after some nano years)… I borrowed 4 books... weeee...

Library is a mysterious place.

It is! Simply because that’s how I remembered it when I was younger. The primary school library was a dark place (tak cukup illumination), with 60% of the books beyond readable. Hard covered, dusty, yellow n dust catching pages, small writings, and traces of book worms. Sure didn’t look like it would attract kids 7-12 years old right? I heard that place has changed a lot, with replacements of furniture and books over the years. But all I can remember… it was a mysterious place.

Libraries got less and less mysterious as I grow up… the secondary school library had wider range of choice of books. But hehe… I secretly had an obsession over older books… a section where not many would end up in. Reading on science discoveries and encyclopedia (seriously weh) when the rest hunt for Tin-Tin series and Heinemann books. Oh ya.. Heinemann’s books... I was after those books too :P so I was not a total weirdo all the time lah.

I hated matriculation’s library… a boring place with number of tables more than the books. The library was used for Prep-session, which I hated to attend. There were no good books to read, so all I did was chat with friends despite getting annoyed stares from the good and behaved ones :P

Then the Uni library. I remember this library! I was there during a field trip when I was 13. At that time, I saw some students reading some thick-thick books with small-small writings with their face almost kissing the pages… “Is this life in uni? dun tell me we gonna have to really read all those thick-thick things?” Horror sight for a 13 -year old!

One year passed in Uni and I didn’t even go 2the library to borrow books… When I was in my 2nd year, I needed to borrow a book, but was clueless of the number of books allowed and period of loan. A junior had to tell me the info… haha… and I never remembered. If I needed to borrow one (once in a blue moon), I had to ask and re-ask :P Haha… I usually google things up rather than spending time in the library. In these once in a blue moon occasions, whenever I go to the library to look for some books, I like the feeling of walking in between the racks n books. Makes me feel so… urmmm… educated! Gagaggagagaha… feel so bookworm-ishh.. like bangga berbunga-bunga. Hahahha…

How things have changed huh… I used to love spending time in a library, but now… it feels like nostalgic and like walking into a museum when I walk into a library… teruk betoi… Apa ni? (Blame the Internet!) I am officially back as a student now… So after this recent visit to the library, I bernekad not to be too alien to a place called a library. I want to feel bookwormish again… konon...
