Spag TOed an excellent tournament last month, with Tyranids placing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place (daemons got 1st). After which He decided he wanted to test his tournament lists vs the new competitive tyranid build. I was happy to oblige.
Are Necrons Over Powered? They were the first codex written closest to 6th edition that obviously benefit from new rules, cool and new abilities, and awesome looking models. But overpowered??????
That' what it felt like at Nova this year. While my 5th edition Grey Knight list was terribly difficult to beat. In fact I never actually lost at a tournament with it......
So as I continue to read the rules and re-build my list for nova........(grumble).. I feel there will be a ton of Paladin armies trying to take advantage of the new 2+ fun. I found a great tactic with the change of wording in 6th edition......
I've picked up several commision jobs in the last few weeks, and as usual I've thrown myself into them headlong. . . to the exclusion of freetime and posting anything here. One of these days I'm going to learn not to get so focused on projects, I swear!
So Adepticon is less than a week away and I am second guessing my army list. My original thought was space wolves as they are my best army overall at this point. I also hadn't played in nearly three months until this past Saturday........................
I headed over to Games 2 Die 4 this afternoon, hoping to get in a game of Flames, but it was not to be. I hadn't known that John was going to be running a 500-point 40K mini-tourney today. So the tables were already covered with 40K-Style terrain in anticipation. While I didn't play in the tourney (had to leave by 3:00), I did pull out the Blood Angels and play a couple of good games of 40K against Spag and TheGraveMind.
As I continue to work on my Grey Knights I have tried to stay away from the awesome sauce that is psyflemen dreads. But!!!!.......I....just.....can't.....
I received a request for a phone interview from the 11th company after my performance at the Nova Open Invitational and Nova Open GT, as well as my performance at Ard Boys. Below you will find the link to the phone interview that discusses........
After reading the missions instead of playing my Space Wolves I have to take the grey knights. How can you win and compete with a King of the Hill mission with only 6 scoring units?
After wrangling and stewing for entirely too long (at least a week) I settled on something I think might be fun to play. It's probably more aggressive than I typically build, but the Purifiers can handle aggressive much better than the Sisters ever could.
I decided to play a game with Crowe and some purifiers to help out a friend in testing his army. I was pretty sure I was going to get toasted while going 2nd against a nasty guard army...
