Wiglaf Miniatures Warlord

Because I need another range and scale of figures like I need my head ventilated, may I present the first Wiglaf Miniatures 18mm 7th Century Anglo-Saxons. I picked them up from North Star (Warlord and Followers 1).

The figure was cleanly cast with some slight mould marks that were easily removed with the edge of a half round file. It is based on a Renedra 20mm round base. The puddle base was blended in with milliput.
The cloak, shield and crest are Citadel Mephiston Red. The wolfskin was Vallejo London Grey, All metal parts (including the mail) was Vallejo Black Grey. Weapon edges and metal highlighting was Vallejo London Grey.
Belt, Seax scabbard and shield handle was Citadel Mournfang Brown. The boots were Citadel Catachan Flesh. Leggings, such and sleeves were Citadel Steel Legion Drab.

Now to paint the rest of them and the Copplestone Casting "Picts".

Empress FT tank scale comparison

I built one of the Empress FT tanks back in 2017 (and a Carden Loyd Carrier). The tank is not currently on the Empress site. I think it is 1/55 scale.

Though there is a scale photograph with the unfinished mode, there is not one of the finished model.

It is a really diminutive tank (and the garden Loyd is even smaller).

Mark Copplestone (I am surprised I have so few models tagged as sculpted by him) has been working on a range of Neo-Retro Wargaming and Pseudo-Nostalgia figures scaled at about 30mm.

They are fictional InterWar period figures with a distinct "toy soldier" look to them.

Here is a scale photograph of a 30mm lipped base propped up against the FT tank.

Not Warfare 2020

North Star and Osprey Games released The second expansion for Oathmark on the 19th of November, and were running a pre-order offer from the end of October.

North Star had a five for the price of four offer on the Oathmark plastic boxes - including the new Skeleton figures.

So I reinforced my Human forces, added a whole box to the dwarf Infantry sprue I picked up at Salute a while back, added a Goblin box (I will need more) and two boxes of the new Skeleton Infantry. I also added  a Fireforge Northman Cavalry box and a Frostgrave Soldiers box.

As the pre-order was about the new Oathbreaker supplement for Oathmark, I also ordered the first supplement )Battlesworn and Oathbreakers.

Battlesworn adds experienced units that can improve over battles, engineers and rivers.

Oathbreakers adds undead armies and Legendary Heroes. There will be another post on this supplement later.

Frostgrave Second Edition adds and improves the existing skirmish game - more on this when I get a chance to read it.
While I was at it, I added a few additional items (more 25mm bases and sabot trays), added a new scale-theme to my collections (Mark Copplestones Gaslands figures in 20mm) and smoother bits and pieces.
