TTCombat - Streets of Venice building 7 for use in Malifaux

TTCombat has a range of building under the Streets of Venice brand. Unlike Sarissa and other laser cut MDF, it is not scaled for the heroic 28mm end of the scale but is more suited to the larger 32-40mm figure sizes such as Malifaux.

They are also remarkably cheap compared to other manufacturers.

I initially posted about it here.

The building was undercoated with Halfords grey spray primer. A coat of Citadel Roughcoat gave some texture. The first floor is Citadel Zandri Dust, the lower was undercoated with Halfords Red Primer. The quoins and door and window frames are Citadel Rakash Flesh.

The mortar was Army Painter Skeleton Bone.

The bricks/tiles are painted individually using a wet palette and Vallejo Black, Hull Red, Burnt Cadmium Red and Red Leather.

It was then dry brushed with Citadel Terminatus Stone and washed with Citadel Agrax Earthshade.

The upper floor is painted with Vallejo Old Wood. The interiors were spray painted with Citadel Corax White. The floor of the ground floor is painted Citadel Mournfang Brown.

As you can see the doorways are sufficient size for Malifaux humans, in this case a Freikorp Strike Team.

Malifaux Freikorpsmen

The Freikorp are elite mercenaries, part of the Outcasts Faction. The backbone of this force is the Freikorpsman. Armed with a Clockwork Pistol and a Hunting Knife, and protected by his Freikorps Suit. This all-enveloping armour provide them with protection from area effect weapons (pulse and blast).

 The base colour is Plastic Soldier Company German Field Grey spray. The blanket is Citadel Mechanics Standard Grey. The boot covers and knee-pad straps are Vallejo Black Grey. Gloves are Citadel Zandri Dust.

The metal parts were dry brushed with Vallejo Black Grey. The whole figure was dry brushed with Citadel Terminatus Stone. Green areas were shaded with Citadel Athonian Camoshade, black and grey with Citadel Nuln Oil and the gloves with Citadel Seriphim Sepia.

The lenses were painted with Citadel Mephiston Red and shaded with Citadel Carroburg Crimson (this figure had an unfortunate bleed, which I have now corrected).

If you have the money, they will supply the violence.

The two Freikorpsmen face off against a Neverborn Horror - Teddy!

 They also deal with three Stitched Together Horrors.

Anna Lovelace - Malifaux Resurrectionist

Anna Lovelace is a Resurrectionist with a (family) connection to the Freikorp.

The Clockwork Dress was first dry brushed with Vallejo Black Grey, then a 50/50 mix of Black Grey and Vallejo London Grey. The ribbons were then painted Citadel Ultramarine Blue.

It was then dry brushed with Vallejo London Grey and any overpaint on the ribbons was repainted with the base colour.

The metal and the ribbons were then washed with Citadel Asurmen Blue wash.

Her hair is Citadel Scorched Brown, the book Citadel Mournfang brown and the bookmark Citadel Mephiston Red. A final dry brush with Citadel Terminatus Stone provided the final highlights.

The hair was given a Citadel Gryphonne Sepia wash. The ribbons were re-washed with the Asurmen Blue, the Bookmark with Citadel Baal Red.

The pages were Citadel Bleached Bone. Citadel Agrax Earhshade toned down the colour and showed off the pages.

Now she just needs some undead to command.
