A subspecies of Metal Garurumon, the final form of Garurumon, it is the ultimate beast tank Digimon equipped with the ultimate superdreadnought-class weapon, "Z'd Hou". Z'd Garurumon's weapons and ammunition are equipped throughout its body, so its physical strength isn't consumed, and it can sustain a rain of bullets for a long duration. The four Laser Sights on its snout have been improved for its ammunition, and are now capable of locking onto hundreds of objects. Its Special Move is mowing down the opponent by simultaneously firing its ultimate weapon Z'd Hou alongside all of the other weapons throughout its body (Fullmetal Blaze). Also, it can spray explosive energy from its mouth (Blowback Breath). In addition, Z'd Garurumon possesses an evolutionary code that differs from Digimon that were naturally born in the Digital World, and it is thought that it is a Digimon that evolved from a Digitama that was produced due to artificial data intervention.

Digimon Next[edit]

Inui Yuu's Partner Digimon, Gaomon, takes the form of Z'd Garurumon after Yuu obtains a Digimon Twin in "Demon Lord Barbamon!". However, Z'd Garurumon is not a normal evolution, but one of the Arbitrators (alongside Victory Greymon), an existance close to God created to stop it if it were to ever be corrupted, and due to that the bond between Yuu and Gaomon is broken and Z'd Garurumon would not obey his commands. However, he finally acknowledged Yuu during the fight against NEO in "NEO!".

After they defeated NEO in "Digital World!", Victory Greymon and Z'd Garurumon turned into stone as the Arbitrators' power was no longer needed.

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]

Z'd Garurumon is the Partner Digimon of Ishida Yamato. He can be fought in the Heavenly Hall Tournament: "Legendary Digimon Battle".

The Botamon from Gravel Wasteland evolved into Z'd Garurumon after intense training with its master, Were Garurumon (Black). Taiga met it again in this form in the Colosseum 10th floor, where it challenged him to the Free Battle: "Grown Children".

A Yuramon close to the Restaurant loves cannons. If Digimaru has a cannon (be it naturally or as an accessory), Yuramon gets jealous and fired up, then evolves into Z'd Garurumon. It then can't believe how cool it looks and gets very prideful about its Z'd Hou.

Digimon Twin L[edit]

Can be evolved from Piccolomon.

The creation of Z'd Garurumon is detailed in the L&R Wars, an overarching plot covered through the Digimon Twin and Battle Terminal 02. The Royal Knight Dukemon and a Metal Garurumon fought a Tempest-corrupted Qinglongmon of the Four Holy Beasts. Both fought collaboratively and finally defeated the enemy, but Dukemon and Metal Garurumon died in the battle. Then, free of corruption, Qinglongmon delivered a special program for the two Digimon that modified their data, creating two Digitama never seen before from which Victory Greymon and Z'd Garurumon would hatch.

Battle Terminal 02[edit]

Z'd Garurumon is the boss Digimon in the Round X of the arcade game's second version[25].

In Digimon Battle Terminal 02, Z'd Garurumon is a reincarnation of Metal Garurumon, reborn with an altered evolutionary code.

Following their defeat, the Seven Great Demon Lords unleashed Tempest, a crack virus that spread throughout the Digital World and corrupted the Four Holy Beasts by converting their binary code into ternary code and eroding their Digicores. One of the battles features the Royal Knight Dukemon and Metal Garurumon confronting Qinglongmon. During their first encounter, the two fought independently and refused to cooperate due to the rivalry between their factions after the Demon Lords' defeat, resulting in their swift defeat without landing a single blow. In their second battle, however, they worked together and succeeded in restoring Qinglongmon's senses, though they were left mortally wounded in the process. Before entering a dormant state to recover, Qinglongmon bestowed a special program upon the dying Digimon, who then left behind previously unseen Digitama. Dukemon was subsequently reborn as Victory Greymon, while Metal Garurumon was reborn as Z'd Garurumon.
