Bear shifter Ben will meet single mother Savannah in a small Texas town. Ben runs away from 3 shifter assassins who want him either dead or surrendered and brought back to their community. Their current leader has murdered Ben’s dad 12 years ago and since then Ben is on the run. Savannah will save him and look after him despite the fact that she will lose her job and put herself and her little boy in danger.
There is the insta-love, insta-lust factor, but don’t expect extensive love-smut scenes. The battles between Ben and the three assassins are fascinating since all of them come from different species (bear, wolf and hyena) and they have different ways of fighting.

Eva and Clive shared their first kiss 15 years ago. Now, they will meet again outside the office elevator of their building. Their companies have offices in the same building. Clive remembers Eva straight away, but Eva only recognises Clive from the front cover of a gossip magazine.
There he was, the tabloid hottie, clothed in a dark gray suit, a crisp, white shirt with the top few buttons undone, hair ruffled, and looking straight at them from inside the elevator car.
Clive is apparently a player who never stays faithful for long. He is the kind of man that Eva normally avoids, but lately nothing is normal in Eva's life. She has recently inherited his father’s design company and she struggles to convince everyone that she is capable of such a task. Unfortunately and for no particular reasons her clients abandon her company one by one. Clive's company may follow, but Clive wants to give Eve another chance.
A flight with a helicopter, a romantic dinner, meeting the family and talking about past events will bring Clive and Eva closer.
“C’mon Eva! We know you’re looking for your Mr. Right, but while you’re at it, why not also have some fun with this Mr. Slightly Wrong?...
But Clive hides things from her. He hides that he secretly works with FBI and that Eva could be in danger. Soon Eva will be heartbroken. Her two best friends and tons of ice-cream will definitely help her to cope.
Eva and Clive's story is a trilogy. The first book finishes with a HFN, not a major cliff-hanger. Overall it is a light, feel-good love story with a touch of mystery and suspense.

I am not sure whether I should put it in the Epic Fantasy book category or the Epic Sci-Fi book category. The author has used elements from ancient Greece and she managed to create a unique, definitely brand new and very imaginative world. To be honest world building and word building do not allow much room to the story in this first book of the series. And consequently made my reading progress very slow. Sometimes the descriptions made me wanna skip pages, but when I did that then I was lost. Then I had to go back and reread. Overall it is a very complex, compact, tight book that will need your full attention. Needless to say all the details are important. The Glossary that it is included in the end of the book is a very important feature of the book. I went back and forth to it several times in order to keep up with the story. The maps of the Cosmos are also interesting and helpful, while the Genealogical charts are far too complicated and maybe they will be interesting only to the hard-core fans of this universe. The title and the stellar book cover are totally connected to the story. “Hydranos" is a stone, one of the five primordial Stones. It is affiliated to the Water, the Feelings and the Virtues of the Heart. When it takes flight, the cosmic balance will be out of control and Drynoe and her friends will have their adventure. With one word, I could characterize this work: ORIGINAL. It is undoubtedly worthy of your attention.

After the destructBook 5 in this Vampires-Werewolves world and book 2 of the Wolf games and I have to admit that series is getting better and better. After the destruction of the cruise ship that belonged to IDAHO company, the survivors end up at a strange island full of dangers. Apparently the island also belongs to IDAHO company. And the headquarters of the company are situated there surrounded by zones of different monsters which make the survivors' approach there almost impossible.
If you have read the previous book, you already know that: -IDAHO specialises in the mutations of the werewolves and the vampires and it has technology for cloning and reproducing DNA. -Sila's dead sister body is lost in the sea. -Although Jameson has been tricked to abandon Cass, he will not be able to kill her. -Cass as half vampire-half werewolf is also pregnant and she ends up in the mysterious island alone.
Silas knows the dangers of the island. He can not inform his father for his whereabouts and he is very worried for Cass. Together with Jameson who feels extremely guilty for his little firefly will try to find Cass and the other survivors.
Unfortunately Ulvic and Rockley are still looking for Jameson and Cass and this adds to the dangers of the island.
The book is a nonstop adventure like a rollercoaster and includes many horror scenes. Lots of angst and breath-taking side stories with monsters that look like they are the results of nightmares. There are also so many mind games and the ultimate betrayal in the end.
There is also again an incredible cliffhanger in the end.
I really hope that next book will be published soon and that Ulvic and (view spoiler)[Silas (hide spoiler)] have the most horrible deaths.

...and I was really impressed with the way the vampires have stopped being the central focus of the series. Now the werewolves and their leader (black-hearted and despicable liar) Ulvic have taken up the torch of the continuation of the story.
Jameson has proven to be a charming, sweet talker, funny, womanizer Alpha wolf; but he is not able to stay out of trouble. I was feeling so sorry for him most of the time.
Cass has taken many bad decisions in the past and has made so many mistakes which have led her to jail, to V games and to become V herself. Cass is not an easy character to like, if you know the sins of her past. So, I thought that it was a brilliant idea the fact that she needs to go through a lot of heartache in this book and suffer more in order to become likeable. I loved her (view spoiler)[unexpected pregnancy (hide spoiler)].
So although Jameson and Cass seem to have a bright future together and they are now close and ready to commit; the circumstances will not let them. V games may be over, Hunters may have been defeated, monsters are happy and free, Selena and Varick are ready to enjoy the sun; but new enemies will appear. With more sophisticated weapons, more science on their side and more disgusted experiments to perform.
Before Cass gets used in being vampire, she will change again without her consent.
Mysterious Silas is sometimes kind and supportive and other times cruel and calculated. He always blames his father for his actions and his weakness is a little girl. He is a very interesting addition to the series and I am sure that he will be a more complicated character than he looks initially.
Selena and Varick, although almost non-existent in this book, will definitely play an important part in the future events.
Overall I loved it. Very imaginative and thrilling with nonstop action and a incredible cliffhanger.

The final book in the trilogy and the main question is one: Is Selena the cure? Can she make vampires, humans again? Varick has hope.
The Helsings will follow them eventually. They don't like to lose and now that the sadistic little psycho, Abraham's son, is dead; they will seek revenge.
Verick and Selena thankfully are not alone. If the Helsings do show up, Jameson and his pack will be there to defend the island.
This is not a bad book, but it lacked the pace and the focus of the previous two books. I also found the chemistry between Verick and Selena a bit lukewarm. I think this is the main reason I kept postponing finishing the book.
In all my life and immortality, I had never felt like this. But there was one thing still keeping us parted. When the moon reigned, I could love her as she deserved to be loved. But unless the sun decided to let me walk in its burning light once more, I would only be able to kiss her half as often as I wished to.
I would also have loved a more spectacular ending, although it provided a closure.
The good news is that Jameson and Cass will live their own adventure in the forthcoming Wolf Games Trilogy.

Nick is a single dad of two adorable children– newly widower 3. Anna used to babysit their children when they were going out, so the children know her as a nanny 4. Nick is Anna’s father’s best friend 5. Anna’s father is not really understanding – although he acts completely immaturely himself 6. Nick has a big package/anaconda (hmm, yes this is exactly what you imagine it is) and Anna is scared of it 7. Everyone knows about Nick's anaconda
This is a really interesting combination of things. If you also add to these the Anna’s brainless best friend, the result is a hilarious story. Lots of goofy moments and mix-ups while they are trying to hide their relationship. Many hot moments until Anna finally faces anaconda.
I would have liked it more, if the book stopped in the funny side of things and everyone was laughing and were silly. Unfortunately there was a boat trip (with all the characters taking part) which came across as more angsty and stressful than funny. And there was also a rape attempt that I think it was just too much for a romance-comedy book.

Anyway, let’s talk about “Fresh from the Grave” in details:
Well, Book 2 in the series is as much fast-paced as Book 1 (maybe slightly more).
This is the book where werewolves are entering the scene.
Vampires existed… now Werewolves too? After what I’d witnessed in the games, I was starting to think nothing could surprise me anymore.
This is the book where Selena has not learned her lesson.
Wait a second.” His eyes grew dark, holding a dangerous threat in them. “You are going back for him?”
This is the book where the V games are upgraded.
I blew out a puff of air. I could practically smell the money spent on the place. It stank of bank notes and fresh blood.
This is the book where people will not be exactly the same.
I ran my tongue across my canines, slitting it open – a habit I was unwillingly forming which was starting to frustrate me.
And this is the book where best friends will meet again.
“How are you alive?” I asked over the loud music.
So, this was certainly a fun read. Very entertaining with an excess amount of angst and violence. Honestly there were times that I needed a break to catch my breath.
The multiple points of view were the only thing that I did not enjoy. I would like a book more focused on the Selena and Varick. Unfortunately they didn’t have much interaction in this book (at least not as much as I was hoping). If this was book 2 from a series of 10 books I wouldn’t mind. But this is a trilogy and the world keeps expanding and new relationships have been started.
Thus, I really hope Selena and Varick’s relationship will not be wrapped up rapidly and rushed in book 3.

I have never hidden the fact that I love vampire stories. I have read stories about bad vampires, about good vampires, about vampire warriors, about vI have never hidden the fact that I love vampire stories. I have read stories about bad vampires, about good vampires, about vampire warriors, about vampire victims, about vampires who were born like that, about vampires who were transformed against their will. There are so many combinations in the literature. I love these monsters. What I don’t love are the humans who can keep these magnificent monsters as prisoners and who do not feed them properly.
The damn Helsings had me right where they wanted me. Not quite hungry enough to lose my mind, but desperate enough that I did as they said without question. All in the hopes of being fed.
So in this book we have some really hungry vampires. And some very nasty humans. You may notice that I did not say anything about whether the vampires are bad or good. Vampires in this book are plainly hungry all the time. When someone is hungry to the point of no return, he/she will a very bad creature and he/she will attack anything that moves.
Imagine there is an island which is occupied mostly by hungry vampires and the mean powerful human beings, the Helsings ,who like to play with them for centuries. Add to the equation a few desperate girls who are kidnapped by the prison where they were detained because all of them have committed murder. In most of the cases they are really nice girls, but still they have killed. So, the society will not miss them when they disappear from their prison and are considered dead. These girls will end up in this island which is full of hungry vampires and Helsings will promise them freedom if they survive.
“Selena Grey, you are offered the privilege of competing in the V Games. If you agree, you will have the chance to erase your criminal record and return home with a clean slate.”
What they are not told is that ALMOST NOBODY SURVIVES these twisted games.
Selena is one of these girls. Varick is the vampire who keeps the girls in line and prepares them for the games. So, basically he is the Helsings’ bitch and the vampires' traitor.
Selena is desperate and innocent. Varick is hungry and tired with the games that he has watched for hundreds of years. When feelings kick in, Varick will be very confused and Selena will be almost broken down.
The book tests the limits of morality and ethics. It focused mainly on the games and the various ways of survival. The girls will try to survive and kill before they are killed. One of the most sympathetic characters actually has killed the most innocent people before she ended up in the island.
And my poor vampires, the Vs. Hungry, weak and desperate will try to get some food. Behaving like mindless zombies most of the time, they will stop at nothing until they are fed.
Someone placed a stake in my hand and directed the V in my direction. He was skin and bones, barely human beneath his long hair and anorexic body. “Kill it,” Dawn instructed, wafting me toward the Vampire. I shuddered in horror, taking a step back. “No,” I demanded. “Oh why must you be so difficult?” Dawn muttered. “It's all for show. This one's weak. It'll only take a quick stab.”
I loved the first part of this trilogy, but I would like a bit more development in the relationship between Selena and Varick. I think the chemistry was missing for the majority of the book which is fine I suppose because this world had to be established firstly. I expect much more in the second book of the trilogy.
When is book 2 out? I am dying to know what happens next.

Oh, I just love stories with bodyguards! And my heart will go on and on…..Oops, wrong movie I have nothing, if I don’t have you….Yep, this is the movie
Oh, I just love stories with bodyguards! I could have just loved this book, but I had a few issues with it.
I think my main problem was Parker, the main male character. He is supposed to be a fierce soldier on a Sabbatical. A strong-minded, badass bodyguard. But I honestly could not take him seriously when he is saying things like the following:
“Do you realize that I had to lie to your dad, just to stop me from getting fired?” and “Please tell me that those are the keys to the Corvette? I’ve been eyeing that car ever since I got here.” and “This is the short of vacation I’ve only seen on television before.” and “Okay,” I nodded along, deciding to surrender to the fun.
So, Parker supposedly has to look after Hannah.
Hannah I guess is another version of Paris Hilton. Really spoiled, daddy’s girl and party animal. But also very needy and sensitive inside and not that young any more. She is twenty-nine years old (I don’t remember reading about Parker’s age; but judging by how immaturely he acts, I have a feeling that he is younger than her).
Anyway, this is a cute story. Hannah and Parker will have a few fights and they will fall in love in less than a week. Then they will have a few more fights before they express their feelings. Not much bodyguard stuff is going on.
I had fun reading the story. Not too much thinking. It is easygoing, predictable and extremely sweet. Not very smutty, but romantic.

Harper is now the Queen of Acerex and Vrax'ton is the King. As a result the Earth government wants to develop their relationships with their new alien friends.
The best ambassador that they have thought of sending is Lily Jones who is Harper’s best friend and one of the scientists that were watching the Fire Planet. Lily is bringing gifts, technological gifts for better communication, health care, for controlling the weather etc. Earth gifts could be very useful for the technology lacking tribes, but unfortunately Lily is not a good diplomat. She likes too much telling the truth and not even one of the warrior tribes accepts her free gifts.
Revex'ton is a warrior of the toughest tribes of the planet, the Ytter tribe, and a future king of his people. When he meets Lily at one of the banquets that Queen Harper organizes in order that Acerex people can meet Earth people, he is completely awe-struck by the alien beauty of Lily. And he will soon invite her to his tribe so that she can demonstrate her technological gifts.
Lily will accept, since although she does not admit it she likes the warrior, and she will face a number of problems when she visits the Ytter tribe:
-Her stupidity, since she flies alone to an unknown environment with only a taser, without someone to protect her, with a shuttle she has never used before, in the dark. -The inhuman cold that it will almost kill her. -The Ulges, Some of the worst predators on this planet, a cross between a polar bear and a very angry bull with teeth that can chew anything. - The Ytter tribe, which is very traditional, old-fashioned and reluctant to change. They prefer their old ways and there have to intention to try the technological equipment that Lily is bringing to them –no matter how much they will improve their lives. - Vrax'ton, who is proud and stubborn as well as confused. He is not sure if Lily is his Fated Mate, but he cannot also stay away from her. When the time comes for them to say their goodbyes, the separation will not happen on very good terms. - Vrax'ton’s psychotic mother. I really do not have words to describe her.
I think the book focuses more on the acceptance of Earth people and their technology by Acerex and less on the romance. It has of course its sexy moments where we learn again about Acerex males’ strange anatomy. But I believe Lily’s efforts to be accepted overshadow the romance parts.
The development of the characters is sufficient although it is a short novel.
The world building is good, but it has lost a bit its focus in comparison to the first book. We see glimpses of the Fire Planet but we do not really learn much about planet Acerex expect about its Northern part. I wanted to learn more about the place Harper now lives – although I suppose more details will come in the next books.
Overall it is an enjoyable read. It could be read as a standalone, since enough details are provided about the first book.
Lastly, I would like to add that although this is a Sci-Fi romance book, it is not a “Mars Needs Women Trope”. No Earth woman is kidnapped to be a bride, because there is a lack of women in the planet. Lily has to fight to be accepted.

The first time is at the station where she is working as a space colonist watching the Fire Planet (Bry) with her three colleagues. Her abductors are a few ugly smelly aliens who want to rape her.
The second time she is kidnapped by a handsome warrior, Vrax'ton, who actually saves her by the smelly ugly aliens. But then he wants to keep her for himself because she is his destined mate.
When his ship crashes on the Fire Planet, the two of them will be trying to run away from a huge fire meant to torch the whole planet before the life on this planet regenerates. They will also fight strange dangerous animals and plants, while they struggle to communicate with each other.
There are plenty of sex scenes on the book. The alien guy has a strange body anatomy, which really pleases Harper. So she basically jumps Vrax'ton constantly and she is not shy to initiate sex.
I have really enjoyed all the books that I have read so far by this author. This time unfortunately, I felt that something was missing and many things were rushed. I could not really connect to the characters, although the story was pretty interesting.

The timid and overly critical Claire is still battling with her self esteem and her personal issues for the first part of the book. Thank God, everything turns to be ok at the second part of the book. There is a really good hot sex scene between them, a really creative proposal (I haven't read anything similar before) and of course there is Japan in the mix. It is hard not to love books which include Japan. Anyhow, overall I enjoyed the story of Claire and Austin. This was for sure the weakest part of Claire's and Austin's story. And the least believable. Claire stupidly is leaking to the press that Austin is moving the company to Japan. When she tells him it is her fault, she is forgiven in like 30 seconds. The economy of the country may be influenced, there is a huge demostration outside the company's premises, the employees want to skin Austin alive, all the major tv channels are covering the news and the two love birds are inside the building having mind blowing sex playing teacher and student and playing with the camera. 1. Two main prides in the city. The Sanford Pride and the Medina Pride.
2. Two different groups of creatures - humans are involved with these Prides. We are still not sure who they represent. a)The Protectors who are kidnapping and torturing shifters. Most probably an evil group. b)Nephilim, the supposedly protectors of both the underworld and the shifters are strangely silent lately doing nothing against the rise of the evil "Protectors" group.
3. Three different couples have been formed so far a) Ethan and his lady Lena (Sanford Alpha and his Queen) in book one. b) Sam (lion shifter - second in command in Sanford Pride) and Jessa (a cursed Chimera) in book two. c) Hazel (lion shifter- daughter of the Medina Pride Alpha) and Cenek (wizard) are the third couple and their story is described in this book. Lots of "I am yours", plenty of "You are mine", a few "Use me" and "Bite me" and of course many sucking, licking, rubbing and moaning between the two of them when Hazel realises Cenek is her true mate. Cenek used to be a jerk in book two, he is a sweetheart in book three. Hazel is a single mum and she has suffered a lot by both the Protectors and her parents. She deserves to be happy and she gets her happiness in this book.
Great world building, interesting characters, strong story development. I am looking forward to reading the new story, most probably about Hazel's twin sister.
