I wonder how well Zoe actually knew Mark, since they were just friends and he started out being her computer technician. I doubt she knew him well enough for that set up. And then to lie to her sister. It was a gross set up.
I would have been seriously okay if Chloe had never talked to either of them again, and that’s saying a lot....more

The one thing the heroine Serena always thought about what would happen if she said “no” never got resolved. The ending is abrupt. So that was disappointing. I feel like she’ll just be in the same position in another week, because the things throughout that made her so uncomfortable were the things she talked herself into because she was afraid saying no would end the entire relationship. Just saying I love you doesn’t make that go away. If anything, it makes the shackles tighter. And this is never addressed or resolved. So her character tries to evolve but settles, in my observation.
Damon’s character never changes. But he doesn’t have to - he gets what he wanted. He doesn’t evolve or learn anything. Even his panic is told through her friends. We never see it ourselves. In fact, we never really see that Serena is different from the woman who left him. It’s like he’d love any woman who played his slave and looked hot. He really knows nothing about her - as he admits. It’s well-written, but this relationship won’t last. No epilogue, which isn’t a shock. Maybe author agrees they won’t last. ...more
