Z was completely delicious. A bad boy, tattoos, piercings, arroAwesome read!!!
Just in time to watch the Olympics, too!!
I loved Z and Ophelia's story.
Z was completely delicious. A bad boy, tattoos, piercings, arrogant, cocky, oh and don't forget a total man-whore. He has been through some tough times and doesn't know how to deal with it. He deals by snowboarding, drinking, fighting and girls. He knows he can get any girl he wants.
But Ophelia doesn't fall victim to his charms. At least not right away. Ophelia has also been through some tough times.
Their chemistry is off the charts. But Ophelia brings out a vulnerable side to Z. And that's what made me swoon for Z. Seeing him vulnerable. Seeing him care about someone. There is nothing better than a sexy, bad boy that has a sweet, vulnerable side.
These two characters grow throughout the story and in the end become better people because of their connection. Z deserves every happiness and so does Ophelia.
I also loved the group of friends.
I kind of wish we could have had some more resolution with Z's father. And I would have loved to see Ophelia's family's reception to Z.
But the real kicker was the ending. Holy f@ck - that ending did me in. Watch out folks, there is a cliff hanger. I think I read that last page like 3 times to see if I was imagining things. Even had to show it to my husband because I just could not believe my eyes. Yep, she went there. Gaaahhhhh!
I need more!!! I need more!!
Watching snowboarding will forever remind me of Z!!
Highly recommend and I will definitely read the sequel.

Anyway, I'm glad I finally picked it up because I NOW HAVE A NEW FAVORITE AUTHOR!!!!!
Shit, Sara Ney is SO TALENTED. So. Talented. She wrote the meanest, most @ssholish, douchebag there is. And then made me fall in love with him. For reals.
These characters aren't perfect. They're flawed. And vulnerable. Even Zeke. That's what makes him so damn lovable.
Zeke and Violet are my favorite couple so far.
Favorite line of the book:
"The best part of me is you, Violet."
SWOON!!
Not to mention, the audio is FANTASTIC!!! If you love audio books like I do, please pick this one up. The entire series is narrated by Josh Goodman and Muffy Newtown and they do such a good job with these characters.
This book hit the sweet spot for me. Seriously. First of all - I LOVE AUDIOBOOKS. And I love Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt - perfect combination. the This book hit the sweet spot for me. Seriously. First of all - I LOVE AUDIOBOOKS. And I love Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt - perfect combination. the only thing that could have made this better is if it was narrated duet style (I wish everything was narrated that way) but suffice it to say, this two are my TOP FAVORITE narrators ever.
Getting Schooled is a story about first love and second chances. Garrett and Callie were high school sweethearts. Callie then goes away to college and ends up relocating across the country. But a family emergency brings her home, and they realize they never stopped having feelings for each other.
I love that they're teachers in the same high school they met. I had a silly smile on my face almost the whole time, full of nostalgia and familiarity mixed with anticipation as they discover the new, adult versions of each other.
I love their interactions with their students and family members.
I love Snoopy.
I love the shared history and chemistry of this couple.
I have been waiting for Nate and Becca's book for what seems like FOREVER.
This book has something for everyone - captOMG - LOVED this book so hard!!
I have been waiting for Nate and Becca's book for what seems like FOREVER.
This book has something for everyone - captivating writing that sucks you in from the first page, complex characters developed so well you feel like you know them, an attraction that sizzles and a story you are invested in.
It has so many tropes, too. Sports romance. Office romance. Rich guy/normal girl. Friends to lovers.
Sarina Bown has proven her talent to me time and time again, and Brooklynaire is no different. I couldn't stop turning the pages late into the night.
Bottom line: buy this book. Buy ALL OF HER BOOKS. You will not be disappointed.
