Naomi found herself in the face of betrayal. A painful yet beautiful lesson in love. Naomi and Cal's story was emotional, steamy and an absolutely entertaining read. I love how the FMC picked herself up after her fiancé's betrayal and seeks out her own peace. Not overly tense, there are moments where you really hurt along with Naomi and Cal. I picked this up and did not put it down. Overall great read.

Look MC books are dark, but they rarely give the characters time to inwardly reflect. Often it's glossed over for a happily ever after. Not this story. Judge is the fixer, the good guy (if MCs have them), the one everyone leans on. And his own soul suffers for it. He's a perfect complement to a bruised and broken Myla. The philosopher and the prey turned predator. This story has darker themes. Both of these characters are imperfect and their cracks complement one another beautifully. They don't fit together easily, there's a lot of angst and action in this story, which whittles down their sharp edges allowing them to make something beautiful in the dark. An absolutely fantastic story.

As with the others, this author envelops current scenarios and puts her characters through the paces. Adak and Oren's story was hard to read sometimes. Oren's sorrow and pain at being trapped in a life dictated by others, with no say of his own, felt so real. Adak's longing for a companion and despair that his asexuality made that impossible felt tangible. These two were made for one another. This one has a slightly darker plot (see the triggers), but I promise it is worth the read....more

I was wrong, and boy, I was hooked from the first chapter. I love getting inside the mind of the characters, but I was even more thrilled we were inside Marlow's mind. It's dark there. He thinks pretty depraved things. He is jealous of people he's never met. He likes routines, rules, order. And then he meets Minnie. Reading his mind and his perfect world unravel piece by piece was simply fantastic. Marlow's dark compared to the perceived light of Minnie (his opinion), was splendid. I do want the next book to come along quickly as I am dying to see what the author plots next! And as per usual - please read the warnings. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review....more

Protective and determined to shieldForced together by adults making bad choices, Colin takes a much younger Vivi, his new step sister under his wing. Protective and determined to shield her from the darkness in their home, he finds peace in his new found sister. Until he doesn't. Ripped apart, he moves on, leaving a young Vivi to pick up the pieces and face the storms alone.
A chance crossing of paths brings the now older, wiser and haunted Vivi back under Rigger's radar. The author takes these two characters on quite a journey. This story has quite a bit of violence, abuse (physical and sexual) and crime depicted so reader be warned. The Sons of Erebus may be legit, but they aren't brokering any foolishness.
I think the author has done an absolute amazing job at bringing the reader up to speed, swapping past encounters with the present in a seamless manner. Tying in action, mystery, violence, and so much steamy sensuality that was just wonderfully done. As usual she brings in fantastically interesting side characters that enhance the story and provide some laughs. All in all a fantastic book.

I do have demands. They must engage me from the first few paragraphs, have engaging characters, a plot and spice. The author met all of my demands and more in these erotic shorts. While the stories are all individually tailored to the characters, there is some interconnectedness that enhanced my overall reading experience. If you are open to age gap stories with sassy FMCs dreaming of a silver fox, these are perfect. I'd take these on a weekend trip as they are rather fast reads. Not terribly complicated, yet compelling with decent plot progression for novellas, I rather enjoyed them. To be honest, I'd love seeing follow up short stories of these characters down the road. Great read.

They expose me to new authors, new ideas, new tropes. Sacrilege does not disappoint. While I was intrigued by Delaney Dare's participation in the collection, each subsequent novella was a gift to my brain. These stories are not for the faint of heart. They are dark. Some very, very dark. Novellas are hard because in a very short time they must draw you in, entertain and bring their story to a close (for now anyways). I felt truly satisfied by the end of this book. Many of the stories left me wanting to explore the worlds and carefully crafted characters further. A sign to me at least of a very successful story.
I will focus on one particular novella for this review. Unholy Vows by Delaney Dare was everything I had hoped and more. Declan and Eve's story was masterfully crafted. Each character suffers and finds salvation in the darkest moments. I truly hope that this is not the last we see of these characters as I think the author has so much room to work here. Superb novella.

A true slow burn romance, both characters are adorably naïve where relationships are concerned. The story provides some great world building and introduces us to the author's world of paranormal, with what I see as implied castes in the dragon world, recently broken and leading to some creative chaos when the two dragon clans interact. I loved both characters. Once the story picks up it has some good pacing, definitely some angst and inner turmoil and action. Oh and some nice MM spice.

The youngest of the DeFiore family, he's often left out to figure things out alone. Underestimated. Overlooked. He's got a bunch of hang ups. I was excited to get this story. Venturing out to be a doctor, definitely outside the family business, Valentine's world is rocked when his career and his family business get interlaced. Malcolm has seen it all. Weathered and beaten down by the game, he's a locked door of secrets. These two cannot be more different. Which makes this story so delicious. If you are a fan of mafia themed mystery filled with suspense, danger, death and spice, this series is for you. My 4 star decision is based on some of my perceived choppiness in the first few chapters. Once you settle in, the story is phenomenal. While I anticipated the twist, it is still superbly written. I cannot wait to see where this series leads.

This story Gracie's Mom is a sassy take on the popular song Stacy's Mom. In this case the mom, is Abby, mom to Gracie, single mom and business owner. This story seems straight forward - a boy obsessed with an older woman. However there are so many layers to both Dax and Abby that this oh so "simple" tale, is full of twists, angst, longing and spice. In short I really enjoyed it. Great read.
