Fun characters, engaging plots mixed with a touch of angst, intrigue, steam and sass. Logan and Dakota's story met every one of my expectations. If you love dragon shifter romances where anything is possible, you will enjoy this book. I inhaled it in one sitting. My only regret is that I want so much more with these characters. Maybe one day they'll pop up in another tale (one can hope). Good read. ...more

While it is a standalone with a focus on Jules and Gavin, there is an overarching storyline that is confusing if you do not start with book 1. So reader be warned. There is a lot to unpack in this book. The dragon's world is changing rapidly. People are missing. Things disappearing and fate brings mates together at the absolute worst time ever. It was fabulous. I love Jules' strength as the oldest brother and particularly how he pushes away yet yearns for Gavin's strength. His love for his own family almost forces him away from his own happiness (typical oldest child). Lots of wonderful characters, some sweet spice and world building. I do hope we see these families again in another book or two. I loved them all.

Fair warning - this is the third installment of a book series. You must read the first two in order to understand the entire context of this book. RomFair warning - this is the third installment of a book series. You must read the first two in order to understand the entire context of this book. Roman's story is the culmination of an attack on his brothers and himself by an unknown group of mages. Roman is such a strong character, and definitely shows his dominant vibes in how he relates to his brothers, his friends and to be honest anyone he deems his. Leading them all to his property as the best defense against the unknown, he's torn between his determination to protect his brothers and loved ones from this attack, and the poor dragon he nabbed after the last battle. Watching this strong man battle with his need to defend versus his yearning for his mate was intriguing. This book moves fast, as do the previous two. To be honest, I wish this was a bit slower, simply because I truly enjoy the banter between this band of misfit shifters. All around good story.

There is an overarching prophecy/mystery we explore in book one, so you definitely should read these from the beginning for context. Puck is sweet, loving and loveably adorable in his insecurity about relationships. Watching him pine for Alpha Austin, yet struggle internally about his worth sort of broke my heart a bit. There is a little bit of angst between these characters as they struggle, as many of us do in finding themselves as they begin a relationship. Couple that initial struggle in the face of a mystery that comes to a dramatic head, and you have a very compelling and entertaining story. I am waiting with baited breath for the next installment of this series.

Fantastic start of a series. This is book one of a new series by this author and I absolutely enjoyed it. The story circles around Lake Cadmus, a sad Fantastic start of a series. This is book one of a new series by this author and I absolutely enjoyed it. The story circles around Lake Cadmus, a sad and lonely dragon mourning the loss of his mate and his heartstone. Forced into isolation and doomed for death, he's rescued by a group of Dragons with a mission to change the barbaric traditions of the dragons regarding mate death. We follow Lake on his rescue and subsequent rebirth into a new dragon community focused on growth and support, not condemnation and death. Lake's story is not a simple second chance mate book, no, the author uses this book to establish the foundation of a brand new series. And I think it was well done. Lake and Boone's story was a pleasure to read. The characters are well written and the plot was good if albeit a bit busy (she's setting up so much for future books). I would love to read more about these characters. Overall good read.
