This author loves to take my feelings and put them in a blender and then stomp the remnants. Bay is a beast. She endures so much in this book. I loved it. The dialogue is full of zingers and snark. This girl loves fiercely, but sometimes, her ego drives her to make crazy choices. Frankly, none of these boys are worthy. This story just hits hard and fast and leaves you wanting more.

Lia faces her past, her captor is still obsessed with the Harbinger. I love how the author forces Lia to not only deal with her past, but what lies within herself, making her an even more inspirational kick ass heroine. I was so mad at the trio, however the author puts them through the paces (maybe suffering a bit). There are so many revelations in this story. As always, I'd love to see what happens down the road for these characters. Overall, It was great.

Look MC books are dark, but they rarely give the characters time to inwardly reflect. Often it's glossed over for a happily ever after. Not this story. Judge is the fixer, the good guy (if MCs have them), the one everyone leans on. And his own soul suffers for it. He's a perfect complement to a bruised and broken Myla. The philosopher and the prey turned predator. This story has darker themes. Both of these characters are imperfect and their cracks complement one another beautifully. They don't fit together easily, there's a lot of angst and action in this story, which whittles down their sharp edges allowing them to make something beautiful in the dark. An absolutely fantastic story.

I was wrong, and boy, I was hooked from the first chapter. I love getting inside the mind of the characters, but I was even more thrilled we were inside Marlow's mind. It's dark there. He thinks pretty depraved things. He is jealous of people he's never met. He likes routines, rules, order. And then he meets Minnie. Reading his mind and his perfect world unravel piece by piece was simply fantastic. Marlow's dark compared to the perceived light of Minnie (his opinion), was splendid. I do want the next book to come along quickly as I am dying to see what the author plots next! And as per usual - please read the warnings. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review....more

Orphaned and held by a mysterious Fae, Thalia has grown up groomed to know violence and love are one and the same. Human trapped in a Fae world at the mercy of her captor, Varrik, her gifts are manipulated for his power. Despite her situation, the strength in the character to escape is just amazing to read. Her journey is fraught with torture, torment, both from others and her own realization of her powers. Without spoiling the story, her reactions to these men was everything. Even after all she's endured, when push comes to shove, she retains her humanity. Sadly in the world of the Fae, means she's betrayed over and over. This story ends in a spectacularly crushing cliffhanger. I cannot wait to read what is next.

Demon is such a haunted character, who used the club's mission to hide from his own turmoil. I can only imagine how hard the author worked to bring his story to light. It was fantastic. Please read the entire series otherwise you might misunderstand some of the interactions. Demon's story brought everything I expected and more. Horror, abuse, tragedy, pain, suffering and ultimately the quest for salvation. Demon has always wished to exorcise himself of his pain and his failures. His story was very moving. The Guardians' compassion to their pain plagued brother was everything. I love these complicated men. Great story but definitely read the trigger warnings. I took awhile to digest this story and write this review. I wanted to reflect on the words, on the plot, on the author's character development. She not only met this Herculaneum task, she bested her own demons triumphantly to bring us a wonderful story. Bravo my lady.

Imprisoned for fifty years, this Aegis struggles to accept how much time she lost, that she survived and that she is worthy of anything but scorn. Asher's time is short. Devoted to his ailing king, his life is linked to his ruler, leader and father figure. Book two holds no punches. There is action, pain, spice, angst and sorrow. Artfully written by this author, the action never stops. It is a linked series so you must read the first book in order to understand the storyline. Good read.

Until Tinleigh. Watching Lucky transform from his player ways, learning there is something he can love more than the Sons of Erebus, was a treat. As usual, the author is great at building a backstory. I cringed, cried and cheered on Tinleigh as she dealt with her past. Her love for her sister and the challenges she faces due to her loyalty to her sister and being ostracized by her own family was tragically beautiful. Never fear, this story has action, violence and so much steam, as one can expect from Misty. These characters are great, as are the other Sons. Loyal readers may find a cameo or two in this book as well. All in all this is a great story. ...more

Once again Shantel's wordsmithing and limitless talent in creating addictively charming and devilish characters that make you scream, swoon and swear is present in Carnage. Centered around Saint, one of the Spade Brothers and his chosen Ashtyn, this book takes you to the limit, pushes you over then laughs at your bruises. It was amazing. I was on edge most of this book. Teased by the characters, the plot, the angst and the sheer depravity of some scenes.
Note if you don't like dark tropes, perhaps this is one to skip. However, if you are a fan of this author, be sure you've read the other books in this world, otherwise you may see a few spoilers. Buckle up, hydrate and have your swear jar ready. This one is a trip.

If you have not read that book, stop and pick that one up first or you will miss a lot of background between these characters. All that guidance aside, in my opinion, despite a few typos here and there the content of this story is top notch. I absolutely enjoy psychological thrillers. Set one in a college, with a quasi naïve girl with two obsessed men with dark hobbies and I am riveted. In this story you delve deeper into Blair's mind, her internal conflict between what she "knows" versus what she feels in regards to right and wrong. And do not get me wrong, as expected, the author provides lots of tension, and spice. Sometimes in some very questionable scenarios. I mean these guys are murderers so reader be forewarned. All in all, I really enjoy the comradery of this trio and hope the author revisits them soon.

And it has paid off in spades.
This story has all of the elements I have come to love when I read their works, I have complex characters, humor, dirty talk, sexual chemistry, and beloved bad boys your mama has warned you about. London's character is beautifully chaotic and dysfunctional. The way the authors blend her own chaos into the plot of this story was just wonderfully done. Knight's backstory, his family and his destiny are teased throughout the story in such an entertaining manner. I never could decide whether I wanted to kiss or kill him and his brothers. Perhaps both? They are delightfully wicked.
I adore fantasy. And this book has set a new standard. I think the world building was superb. Enough to set the scene and leaving me satisfied and yet still curious for the next books. The plot twists kept me on my toes. That ending - simply fantastic. I cannot wait to see how the remainder of this series progresses.

So much happened in this story. My emotions are all over the place. Wow. Just wow. If the world was coming to an end and I needed to pick a team, I'd be Team Shinno. Thrust into the horrors of the world as an infant, Shinno's need for revenge is truly impressive. Do not come into this book thinking about the real world. This world is darker, full of sadness, depravity and power seeking groups who ravage others in their advance to glory. Shinno's discovery of her true identify, her past changes her trajectory into the future. Beware thy name is vengeance indeed. I feel that the character exploration for Shinno was simply top notch. She is such a complex character, full of contrasting behaviors and surprising humanity. Even in her depths of darkness, you see a person who cares. There is a lot of action and the pacing is pretty fast all things considered. Not a book to take lightly, you will need to pay attention as there is lot packed into this world. A worthwhile read that will take your emotions on a ride.

Protective and determined to shieldForced together by adults making bad choices, Colin takes a much younger Vivi, his new step sister under his wing. Protective and determined to shield her from the darkness in their home, he finds peace in his new found sister. Until he doesn't. Ripped apart, he moves on, leaving a young Vivi to pick up the pieces and face the storms alone.
A chance crossing of paths brings the now older, wiser and haunted Vivi back under Rigger's radar. The author takes these two characters on quite a journey. This story has quite a bit of violence, abuse (physical and sexual) and crime depicted so reader be warned. The Sons of Erebus may be legit, but they aren't brokering any foolishness.
I think the author has done an absolute amazing job at bringing the reader up to speed, swapping past encounters with the present in a seamless manner. Tying in action, mystery, violence, and so much steamy sensuality that was just wonderfully done. As usual she brings in fantastically interesting side characters that enhance the story and provide some laughs. All in all a fantastic book.

The boys face not only the power struggles on the island, but also Angel's stalker in this book. And they handle it only how the Brixton men do - with creatively maniacal violence. And I loved it. I do love the reappearance of the Snake crew as they were featured in book 1. The author has set up us readers for one amazing final installment (if not more) with this book.
There are a few character inconsistencies (name errors) and a scene that lines up in a confusing manner so I deducted a star. I am hoping that the final print version will catch these inconsistencies and then I'll re-rate the book. But otherwise, the characters are on point, the plot thickens and I cannot wait to read the next one.

They expose me to new authors, new ideas, new tropes. Sacrilege does not disappoint. While I was intrigued by Delaney Dare's participation in the collection, each subsequent novella was a gift to my brain. These stories are not for the faint of heart. They are dark. Some very, very dark. Novellas are hard because in a very short time they must draw you in, entertain and bring their story to a close (for now anyways). I felt truly satisfied by the end of this book. Many of the stories left me wanting to explore the worlds and carefully crafted characters further. A sign to me at least of a very successful story.
I will focus on one particular novella for this review. Unholy Vows by Delaney Dare was everything I had hoped and more. Declan and Eve's story was masterfully crafted. Each character suffers and finds salvation in the darkest moments. I truly hope that this is not the last we see of these characters as I think the author has so much room to work here. Superb novella.

Book three in the Pleasure and Prey Series live's up to it's title. Vicious opens up with a bang and honestly, like the FMC I was kept on the edge of my seat the entire read. Quinn is no weak victim. No she is a survivor. And when confronted with the depths of which her savior would go to protect her she does the typical response: she runs. The results of her own naivety and flirtations with darkness coinciding with the obsessed dark angel/serial killer Gabriel are refreshing.
This obsessive serial killer romance is dark. There is violence. I mean the MMC kills people. So please understand death and topics related to killing permiate this book (the entire series actually). Each story is from a different charater's POV on his/her recollection This compilation of novellas set up us readers for some mind blowing adventure. Each story is from a different charater's POV on his/her recollection of the Midsummer Festival. The authors have woven a tapestry of words richly spun with threads of heroism, morally gray zeal, humor, ego, sex, magic, elitism, violence and obsession with power that pulled me in and kept me on the edge of my seat. There were times I gasped at the sheer brutality of this world, other times where I laughed incessantly. These characters are brilliantly crafted and elicit many different feelings: love, hate, disgust, confusion, melancholy, chickens (iykyk). Simply well done. I cannot wait to see what comes next.
