As twins, Alice and Asher Samuels always had each other’s back. But when they were taken by an unhinged man, that bond would be severely tested and could permanently change how they saw the other.

Alice and Asher were opposites in both personality and coping mechanisms. One was a fighter, and the other resigned. There were times I wanted to shake them to think before acting, but I’m glad the direction they took in order to survive and move on.
A sense of danger rippled through me, a reminder that I was prey to this man, a thing to destroy, and every hair on my body stood up. Death was coming for us.
This book had all the dark and taboo elements that I love. However, I felt their struggles were too easily and quickly resolved which lessened the impact and believability. It would have added more depth if the psychological aspect had been capitalized on. I did like how the author didn’t hold back on the abuse with several gag-inducing scenes.
Darkest Descent is a story of retaliation and illicit urges. It would appeal to readers who enjoy dark stories with taboo dynamics.

A mother’s love knew no bounds. Living deep in the hills, a woman and her son survived off the land, bound to their home and way of life. She would stop at nothing to protect it.

This book had so much potential, but it tried to do too much in too few pages. I loved the dynamics between Momma, Animal and Chloe. It would be good to have more depth on that instead of just bits and pieces of them and other side characters. In terms of horror, the story delivered with some stomach-churning scenes.
He will not make my son feel like a freak. I pick up a large rock, lift it above my head, and smack him hard on the back of the skull with it.
Animal is a story of isolation and adapting. It would appeal to readers who enjoy short visceral horror.

Mina Greene grew up in a strict household led by her father, Logan, that upheld the notion of family love. But protecting her family could come at a cost she was not willing to pay.
Though the storyline was typical of the Inferno world plot, I enjoyed the author’s take on the characters. Logan lived up to the dark legacy of his family name, and some of his actions were sickening. I liked the dynamic between Mina and her mother, and would have liked seeing more of that.
Odious is a story of endurance. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a quick and dark, taboo horror.

As a child, Journee vanished from the Greene family's home. After years of searching, she was finally found and brought back to where she belonged. the love she received only made her crave more than her fair share.

Journee is easily one of my favorite characters in the Inferno World. Her mind is a fascinating whirlwind of chaos, and I love how she stands out from the typical Greene woman. It adds excitement to the story by opening up possibilities.
I let myself make small sounds if it feels pleasing since Daddy didn’t tell me to keep quiet. I want to always do what Daddy wants.
Retrogress is a story of survival and self-gratification. It would appeal to readers who enjoy dark, taboo horror.
