It was finally Avery Kingsley’s time to shine as the high school baseball head coach of the Honey Creek Hornets. But her high was short lived when an ex lover and ex all-star player Nathan Pierce joined the team and brought back the turmoils of their past.
Sports romance is my least favorite romance sub genre and I know nothing of baseball. But I’m glad this book drew me in without making me lost in unnecessary details.
I craved her stubbornness. Avery’s attitude was one of the things I found most attractive. I didn’t know if that meant I was mentally unwell, but that was where my state of affairs had been.
It was easy for me to connect with Avery and I love it when the heroine is the grumpy/prickly one. Nathan was practical and responsible. It was amusing how he loved her “abuse”. The story was light and fun with emotional moments and plenty of entertaining side characters.
The Problem with Players is a story of second chances and closure. It would appeal to readers who enjoy sports romance in a small town setting.

I was curious about Knox and Liv, considering they’re new characters in the series. I loved their dynamic, and both captured my attention in their own ways. But Knox was my favorite. I also loved how the other characters took them in and made them part of their family. The story was amusing and overall entertaining.

Moving to Fairhaven Falls was supposed to be Elara’s clean slate. But the chilly welcome by the grumpy orc from next door, Grondar, made her question her decision, especially how he scorched her desires.

I loved Grondar with his annoyance and grumpiness. Elara was cheeky and not afraid to go for what she wanted. The story was cute, and the palpable chemistry between the characters heated up the sexy scenes while the hilarious supporting characters made the story entertaining.

Yara Kingsley was the beloved sweetheart of her small town. When newcomer Alex Ramirez faced a chilly reception upon launching his business, she tried to make him feel welcomed, but her actions might make things worse for both of them.
This was a delightful, breezy read that excels in clearly defining the town's inhabitants and dynamics early on, which helped set the stage for the story.
I was so damn tired of people leaving. That fear alone was enough to leave me stagnant.
Despite being polar opposites, Yara and Alex shared vulnerabilities that drew them together. Though they had good chemistry together, I do wish it was sexier. I enjoyed their journey of personal growth and the overall storyline.

This one was a fun one. I inked the overall storyline, but it was long. I loved both Dex and Hammer, and their personalities fit each other. Artemisia was content with her quiet life tending to the dead at the convent she grew up in. But as evil spirits made appearances, she knew her life would never be the same again when she was thrust into the center of it.
This book was a breath of fresh air. Artemisia was not your typical YA Fantasy heroine. I loved her views on life, and I could connect with that. And I loved the revenant the moment it opened up its mouth. Their relationship and banters were amusing.
“I’m entitled to some privacy, aren’t I? It isn’t as though there’s much to go around. Being trapped inside your body isn’t the panoply of delights you might imagine. Oh, pardon me, you’re a nun. Silly of me to suggest that you’ve ever imagined a single delightful experience in the entire span of your dull, miserable, hateful nun existence.”
The storyline was interesting, and I loved discovering the saints and spirits. The world-building was uncomplicated, making it easy to keep up with the details.

Stella Maple Mitchell got the privilege of growing up with a caring and supportive father figure. But her future was thrown off balance when she found out Damian Blackstone was going to be in the picture. Things might not be easy when two opposing strangers had to tolerate each other for one common goal.
Stella and Damian were two completely opposite personalities. Stella was a bit kooky and had been irreparably damaged as a child. Damian was described as having darkness but clearly, my interpretation of dark is on a different level. But I liked how their relationship didn’t feel forced and how they helped each other overcome their personal struggles.
We were two misfits that were surrounded by a world in which we didn’t belong. Yet still, we felt comfortable because we had one another.
This one turned out a lot lighter than I expected. There were a lot of funny and cute banters, with bits and pieces of sad backstory. There were a couple of things that I wish resolved more clearly. While the plot was a little corny for my liking, I enjoyed the story overall.

Georgie Carruthers woke up literally out of this world. And being taken by little green men was only the beginning of her nightmare. When the cargo hold she was in dumped on an unknown planet, she must do everything to survive the harsh icy environment, including being the object of attention by the planet’s inhabitants in every way possible.
Well, this book was certainly a breath of fresh air for me. I haven’t read anything like it before and was thoroughly entertained. Vektal was sweet in his alien barbarian way. Georgie might be a fish out of water (or more appropriately human out of Earth) but she had determinations to fix the situations she was thrown into.
I whimper and cling to his horns, spreading my legs wider. It feels utterly incredible. I’ve had sex before and oral sex several times, but between the purring and the textured tongue? I’ve never had anything quite like this.
My favorite part of the book was how they were trying to understand each other’s language and body. There were plenty of amusing and memorable scenes from start to end.

Duncan captured my heart the first moment he made an appearance. He was irresistibly charming and a good cook too, while Molly was likable and relatable.
What freaked me the fuck out was that I’d been upset because he’d put his hand on my girl’s back. My girl. That’s how I’d thought of her. But she wasn’t, was she?
The story is a super slow burn but I didn’t even realize until over 80% that there wasn’t any sexy times. The story was engrossing to distract me from that with some funny and sad moments.

But when an unexpected off-season letter landed on her desk from a girl with wishes for her father, Sadie took matters into her own hands without realizing where it would lead her.
This book was not at all what I initially expected, but I’m not complaining. I enjoyed this funny, adorable, and heartwarming story. There were many hilarious situations in this book with crazy circumstances, and I loved those. Ironically, I thought the more serious part of the book that was a bit too much lol!
“I don’t know if it’s fate or a series of crazy coincidences that brought us together. But whatever led me to you isn’t as important as what will keep you here.”
Birdie was very cute, even though at times she seemed too young for her age. Sebastian had an understated sex appeal, and his situation made it easy to care for him, while Sadie was caring and daring in her own way.

Now, they must decide if what they had was real or turn it into just another memory.
Matteo was charming, considerate, and sexy. I love him especially when he’s hurt. I liked how Hazel took things into her hand and made things happen for herself. But she annoyed me for a certain part of the book with how she handled the situation.
Hazel and I might not wind up with a happily ever after. In fact, I was pretty certain that wouldn’t be the case. Still, I couldn’t end this story right here. Not yet. Not like this.

Elodie Atlier needed a new job. But a mishap before her interview nearly jeopardized her chance as an employee of Hollis LaCroix. Now she must prove her worth, but it’s getting harder as attraction sparked between them.
This book was not what I expected in a good way. It reminded me of the authors’ older works which I love.
Hollis had been playing a game with me. And I’d used it as evidence that things might have been moving between us, when it was always only a game. It was clearer now where we really stood.
Hollis was the more serious and uptight one, while Elodie was the fun risk-taker. The relationship was a slow burn but they complemented each other well and I loved their banters and the tension between them.
"You’re not the only one with abandonment issues. I feel like I’m always holding my breath for the other shoe to drop. And the fucked-up thing is, that feeling gets stronger when things are going well between us."
The story was hilarious especially with a cameo appearance by the authors’ well-loved character. I also liked how in between the laughter there were heartbreaking moments that added depth to the story. I wasn’t fully surprised by a certain thing in the book but it didn’t take away my enjoyment.

Onboard, was the man of her destiny that she needed to secure. But on her quest, she met another that was determined to show her what living truly meant.
Moti was a lovable character. Always considerate and nice to others, though sometimes I felt like slapping her in the face for her “generosity”. Alex was such a dreamy hero. Everything about him just ticked every box that made me weak in the knees.
I loved the infusion of two different cultures in the story. Each of the supporting character’s antics and issues brought depth into the story. I also loved how this book helped to transport me into my dream destination. And don’t even talk about the food. I felt heavier just reading on the lusciousness.
But the truth is no one can battle your demons for you. Your doubts and fears are your own to feed or to slay.
Even though the story direction felt typical at times, there were so many interesting things happening and amused me throughout the book. And the last 10% or so was incredible and made the book for me.
“It’s not about me, is it?” I let go with a sad smile. “It’s about what I do to make you happy.”
Moti on the Water is a chaotically lovable story of breaking free and finding one’s own way. It would appeal to readers looking for a light, fun read with heart.

Emmanuelle (Emma) Peroni loved her small town. As a local government employee, she dedicated her time in helping to make Hope Lake thrive. With the upcoming mayoral election, the town was abuzz with candidate Cooper Endicott’s not-so-savory past exploits. She was strategically roped in to help his public image and political campaign. The only problem was they couldn’t see eye to eye without wanting to punch each other’s face.
This book pleasantly surprised me because I ended up liking it more than I thought I would. I was worried about the political part of the story but it wasn’t stuffy and quite entertaining.
"You’re not going to win anyone over by acting like a horn dog all the damn time.”
Cooper was an unrepentant Casanova but that’s part of his charm and I liked how deep down the things he did were important to him. Emma was likable and relatable, even though there were times I wished she wasn’t so obstinate.
Damn it. I hated when I found similarities between us.
I adored the picturesque small-town setting and the antics of the tight-knit community. The romance was a very slow burn and low on heat, but I loved the banters and tension between them, so it worked for me.

Little did she knew it would take her face to face with another past - the boy next door Ford Donovan who was certainly all man now.
I’ve always wanted to try an age gap book with an older woman and this one satisfied my curiosity. If I were to describe the feel, this book is airy summer sunshine. It made me smile with a warm fuzzy feeling.
Instead of responding, I went to my contacts and edited Donovan to Ford—a gentle reminder that Donovan wasn’t a man I could ever be attracted to; he was simply Ford, the boy next door.
Ford was very charming and his vulnerability was endearing, but he was also caring and responsible. Valentina was likable and relatable, and I liked how she made changes in her life.
I watched as his jaw tensed, and he bucked twice more before sinking into me so deeply that I gasped.
What appealed to me the most was how their relationship developed organically and how they didn’t let their relationship held then back. However, there were a couple of things I wish I got an answer for but weren’t addressed.

Just when Charlotte Darling thought there was no such thing as fairytale in real life, she found a love note sewn into a wedding dress at a vintage store. Upon some stalking, she found the writer of the note but apparently he turned out to be more of a villain.
Reed Eastwood might looked like a Prince Charming but he was anything but. Gone were the man who penned such a romantic message. What left of him was a bitter, arrogant, pain in the ass man who unfortunately she had no way to avoid.
I’d joked about Charlotte Darling and her pixie dust. There was always something magical about her, the way she’d just appeared in my life and turned it upside down.
It’s rare for me to love a female character, but Charlotte managed to make it on the list. She was funny and kooky which made her highly lovable. The air typing thing was priceless haha!
There was no middle ground with Charlotte. Either I was all in or all out.
At times, Reed could be a condescending asshole, but deep down he cared more than what he let others see. It’s quite entertaining to see him flustered by Charlotte “craziness”.
The story was funny and entertaining, and I like the secondary characters in their lives. One of my favorite aspects in the story was the "special" list. Naturally, her list was eclectic and the source of entertainment. I also like how this story had an unexpected element that added heart to it. I don’t usually like epilogue, but here it was a good closure and also touching.
Love wasn’t about a beautiful dress, a note, or even poignant words. It was about being with someone through thick and thin, about seeing them through not only the best moments of life but also the worst.

Brooke (BB) Bradley’s romance force field had always gravitated towards good for nothing bad boys. After years of being burned, she vowed to change her ways but she never thought it would take her to a completely different direction.
Ken Easton had been her mutual friend but nothing more than being in the periphery. That was until she saw him in a GQ worthy outfit that tingled her bits. But BB had a work cut out for her if she wanted to (un)tame the man.
He wasn’t even a man. He was a rare subspecies, commonly referred to as a gentleman, that I didn’t even know still existed
Ken has always been my least favorite character in this series but I did like him here and definitely the one I could relate to the most - the lack of emotion, the anti hug lol! While he was stoic, he had his own kind of charm getting into BB’s (and readers’) heart with his subtle thoughtfulness.
He made me laugh and he made me crazy and he made me a better version of myself. But, most of all, he made me want things that I wasn’t sure he could give me. Things he didn’t believe in.
I like BB the most in this book compared to previous ones. She was more mature while still retained a shadow of characteristics that made her lovable. Over the span of this series, I felt like I’ve known BB through her joys and heartaches. Even though I’m not a fan of all things happy (lol!), I’m glad that they found and balanced each other out.

Since his unfortunate accident that changed his life, Gavin had been out of luck in the romance department. A date with a beautiful pink haired girl Anna brought him hope. However, she had an unusual level of passion on dolls that freaked him out. Now they must learn to find a balance if they don’t want to keep each other in.
But he was never enough. Maybe underneath all the makeup, the loud clothes that got him in trouble so many times, there just wasn’t anything interesting enough about him?
I liked how Gavin had to deal with a personal challenge and how it affected his life. He had a lot of vulnerabilities that he had to learn to overcome. Anna was... a standout to say the least lol! She could be a handful to handle but she had a good heart and a sunny outlook on life.
Anna wasn’t relationship material. That constant talk of dolls was a flaw he couldn’t overlook, despite her amazing tits.
This book had a very fascinating theme. I loved that I get to learn about BJD (get your mind out of the gutter, it has nothing to do with blowing :p) or ball jointed dolls with the culture and lifestyle. They are beautiful and now I want one lol!
“Okay, maybe I’m not one to speak, but I’m a normal freak. She’s just weird.”
I also liked the dynamic of the characters. Both of them would be considered weird by a normal society standard, but they were made for each other in their world. I do wish for more if the kink part though. It was hot but too minimal.
