One year ago Meredith experienced a tragic loss that turned her professional and personal world upside down. Still reeling from the loss and trying to pick up the pieces, she's now counting down the days to a sense of normalcy in returning to work. Being a Psychologist in New York is not easy and with everyone constantly on the go, you have to move to their speed. Getting back to a route will surely do Meredith some good and keep her from pursuing an unhealthy hobby but little does she know, she's in for one big surprise.
I have to say that I really loved the premise of this story and I liked that it was a psychological thriller. We saw the main character at her worst and in that moment, she was fighting to get back a little peace and calm the chaos. With that being said, we also saw her truly hit rock bottom and you start to question if it's self punishment, stupidity, or guilt. Trust begins to evaporate and you're no longer certain if anyone is in their right minds at this point.
“We were not born the day we took our first breath. We were born the moment we stole it".
Is there a therapist around right now?! Because holy fucked up of ALL fuckups!!! I'm seriously questioning my state of mind right now because after reading this conclusion, there is something wrong with me!. I practically inhaled this messed up story and let me tell you, it was FUCKED up. If you thought you knew everything about London and Grayson in “Born Darkly, you’re in for one rude awakening.
It’s been six weeks since Grayson has been on the run from the law and every second that passes, is bringing him more closer to his madness. But now he has someone to share that madness with and whoever said crazy is not contagious, has clearly never met this couple. With a cat and mouse game that will surely make your head spin and have you questioning whether everyone is a suspect, London and Grayson's journey will leave you an emotional paranoia mess.
I’ve been waiting on the conclusion to this story for a while now and when I finally got to it, I thought to myself: I’ve got this. I know what’s going to happen and we're just going to get a nice little HEA at the end to wrap things up. That was NOT the case because this author, clearly needs to have her head examined! I kept waiting for some type of remorse from these characters and just when I finally think I have it in my grasp, she goes and throws a big wrench that had me like:
You’re probably thinking that if Grayson is one of the most dangerous serial killers, there’s no hope for him in a normal society. You’re absolutely right because that man is crazy as fuck! I literally have no words when it comes to his state of mind and the things that he does but….. I loved him. No need to reread what I just wrote or turn your screen brightness up a little more because it's not going to change the fact that I fell for a serial killer. Someone get me a straight jacket because obviously I need to be committed ASAP! I loved his warped mind, his ability to get shit done on his terms, and his own version of loving London. He was not a good man and never claimed to be, but when it came to protecting the woman he cared about, Grayson delivered.
“Everything I do, every single day, is a risk for you.”
This was a brilliant, outstanding, bone chilling duet that had the perfect amount of sexiness that made you want more. You craved the words and the psychological turmoil that were going to be put on and you didn’t care because this story? These characters? The fear and danger you felt on your skin as you turn each page? Was fucking worth it.

What a sexy dark surprise this was!! Lola King was not messing around with these characters and seeing that this my first time ever reading anything from this author, I’m glad that I started with this one. I fell for an anti hero and I regret NOTHING!
If you were to ask Alexandra Delacroix how happy she is with her life right now, she would give you her sweetest smile and tell you that her life is a fairytale dream and it’s perfect. Sweet boyfriend, a house that might as well be a castle and cool girlfriends. Everything is perfect. That is until one night she truly learns that no one is really untouchable and danger comes in the form of something alluring and wicked.
Xi has never been the kind of guy to sit still. If he wants something, he’s going to get it and to everyone else, have mercy on your soul if you get in his way. He’s unapologetic, ruthless and deep down to the core, he’s crazy af. When he crosses paths with the rich girl from the other side of town, Xi decides to do the one thing that he’s extremely good at. Getting what he wants.
I was not expecting this type of story if I’m being completely honest. I thought that I was going to get a little sprinkle of a dark romance with some sexy scenes thrown in but that was not the case. Yall need to listen to me very carefully. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE!!! My god I was sweating and angry at the same time. How is that even possible??? Xi was not a good person in a lot of ways but he was passionate and protective. Everything that he did had meaning and you felt it whether it was good or bad.
I’m pretty sure that the author gives a warning to her readers in the beginning of the book so please for the love of your panties and sanity, do not skip it. Read it, memorize it, inhale it, and if and ONLY if you’re ready to go forward with these crazy, demented frustrating characters that will take you to the edge of bliss, then you start. Don't say that I didn't warn you. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be rocking in the corner waiting for the next character's book.
Ya'll…. Listen to me very carefully. What in the deliciously sick tarnation did I just read??? I don't know if I should be in therapy right

Ya'll…. Listen to me very carefully. What in the deliciously sick tarnation did I just read??? I don't know if I should be in therapy right now because I was cheering on the madness and laughing my butt off at times or saying screw it and embrace the crazy because I freakin loved it!
Rev has one goal and that's getting out of town and starting over somewhere new. Being in a small town and having to deal with entitled pricks on a daily basis is starting to reach its boiling limit with him and he has no reason to stay. That is until one of his classmates shakes up his entire world and leaves a mark that sets off a dangerous attraction and more in it's wake.
We were given a warning for this story and based on the prologue, I knew that this was not going to be an easy read. I felt it immediately and because of that, I went into this with a bit of trepidation which was warranted because my god!! The shit that went down in this book was effed up. I'm not even going to sugar coat this at all because I can't.
These characters didn't cross any lines whatsoever. Do you know what they did? They set them on freakin fire and then walked into that fire and then sat down and smoked a damn cigarette as if nothing happened! I can't even fathom wtf I just read and quite frankly if this is just the first book, you bet your ass I'm coming prepared for book 2. I need snacks, wine, rum, more rum and a therapist on call in that order.
This is not your typical dark read and I'm telling you right now please read the warnings and proceed with liquor. If you're looking for a messed up, twisted, dirty, thrilling revengeful read, this is hands down your book.

Whew!!! Dang what a ride! I went into this story almost completely blind and even though I had a pretty good idea where this was going, the plot twist felt like a record scratch. I became too comfortable with these characters and they're day to day process and in return, the author completely swept the rug from under me.
Atlas Beck has been through her fair share of trauma over the past year so when she gets an anonymous note, she decides to start over in the town of Idlewild. There she meets the four owners of a popular mechanic shop where she starts to work and right from the start she's drawn to the most dangerous one of them all.
Rowdy lives by his own rules and does things his way and if you have a problem with that, then you're going to be facing a cold metal steel against your skull. For years he's done his own thing and nothing and no one is going to change that. Or so he thinks.
From the moment Rowdy meets Atlas, he knew that she was different but just like him, she has secrets of her own and she's not about to hand them over. Will these two who are so wrong for each other in every way, manage to do the unthinkable and love each other?
I'm going to be brutally honest and say that I did not love how certain things were handled in this story and I was not a fan of the hero for a good portion of the story. As much as these two brought out the best in each other, they also brought out the worst and in return chaos ensured. They were brutally toxic, unforgiving, reckless and I was scared they were going to burn the place down!! But somehow underneath all of that, they were loyal and passionate and when they loved? You really felt it.
If you're looking for a complicated, highly addictive read with a fierce heroine, then this one's for you.

Daaaamn.
This author just keeps throwing shots out there and never misses. Blind fold and all she gets the job done and just when you think that there’s no way she’s going to make the final one at the buzzer, she gives you a half court shot while stopping your heart at the cliffhanger. Everyone is going insane and you want nothing more than to relive that moment over again but you know that you can't. Heartsick was that story and now I'll be left biting my nails until book two comes out!!
Child prodigy Dutch has always had a love for music. Playing the piano was his lifeline and he felt the music in his bones to the point where he didn't need anything else but that and a new heart. When he learns that he’s a match for a heart transplant, life as he knows it should only get more better right? But they take a drastic turn when the music suddenly stops playing and life as Dutch knows it, ceases to exist.
Luna has always been a hard worker from a young age. She’s smart, determined, and knows exactly what she wants but fate decided that she needed a new route. When she meets Dutch everything that she thought she knew, has her questioning her surroundings. Will a stranger end up saving Luna's life or make it more complicated with discovering buried secrets?
I loved the fact that this story was completely different and the twist and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. I started to question my own sanity at certain points and I honestly didn't know how this was going to end. My only complaint is that the ending felt rushed and I wanted to see some things unfold a bit more because I felt that they were important and I needed more answers.
If you’re looking for a dark thriller romance that is going to have you hooked till the very last page, then this one’s for you.

It's been seventeen years since Josie Watts became a different person. She's colder, more precise and doesn't give a *** what anyone thinks of the way she handles her personal life. Being one of the best forensic pathologists, Josie is now in the line of sight of the boy who broke her heart all those years ago. They say you never forget your first love but with scars like that, will Josie let the past go and start over as friends with Colton?
Detective Colton Mosley has always regretted one thing in his life and that's letting Josie go. Best friends since they were little, he knew that this girl was going to be it for him and his entire life was revolved around her for so long. But as they started to grow up, their relationship changed but the love never did. Now seventeen years later and he's finally staring at the face that's been a fixture in his dreams and desires and he has no intention of letting her go. But while investigating a few murders, things take a drastic turn that sets off a chain of events leaving Colton and Josie with more questions than answers.
I went into this story knowing that it was a duet and I was somewhat prepared for a cliffhanger ending and I was ok with that. What I was not prepared for was the shocking heart attack twist!! I had to re read the entire chapter just to make sure that I was reading everything correctly and I was still not convinced!
I really love this author and her ability to truly suck you in to her stories but I have to say even though I've read nearly all of her books, I'm still shocked. How does she do that? Story after story, characters that you've thought about strangling your own self only to turn around and love them unconditionally, plot twists, heartbreaks, timeless love, she gives you everything and years from now, I'm still going to want more.
If you're looking for a best friend's enemies to lovers romance with a dark twist, then this one's for you.

Leave us hanging why don't ya Monica! Thy Kingdom Come immediately hit us with a dark gritty prologue that set the stage for a bloody war between two families for decades to come. It was raw, unapologetic at times and it made you question everyone that was in the story.
From a very young age, Punky has witnessed something that not only scarred him as a child, but shaped into the man that he later became. He's ruthless, doesn't trust easily and the only thing that's been on his mind for the past ten years, is sweet revenge. But how far will his plan go when he meets a mysterious woman who has secrets of her own?
I really liked the setup for this story and I enjoyed the war rivalry between two families. I did have a hard time getting into this book at first and I guessed the secret early on but I loved how the cliffhanger was set up up because now the possibilities are endless and it could go much darker!! I'm ready to see what this author is going to do for book two and what's in store for the Kelly family. How far will Punky go for his family? We'll have to wait and see.

I feel like I need to have my head examined. What was that? Everyone is crazy! I have no clue how the rest of the story is going to pan out but I can tell you this much: almost everyone needs to be on some type of meds!
Zain has spent most of his life in an mental institution and that’s all he’s has ever known. It’s been thirty five years since he’s seen the outside world in full view and he’s now reached his limit. He wants a chance to have a real life and one that doesn’t involve a padded room. With a plan and help from the outside, Zain finally makes it into the real world but not before bringing along some of his own friends. Some unstable and misunderstood friends. Will they all be able to survive? What happens when imagination and reality collides?
Upon reading the blurb, I still had no clue what I was getting myself into with this book because it was somewhat vague and I was more than ok with that. After reading this, I’m very curious to see what’s going to happen next with most of these characters but at the same time I feel like I’m missing a lot more. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t read anything from this author before and she has other characters from her previous MC series, or the fact that everything felt rushed and was moving too fast for me.
I needed certain things to be slowed down so we could really get into the heart of things but the time I blinked, it was all over. I’m really hoping that for the next book, the author delves more into Zain’s time in the institution back then and also on his journey with adjusting to the outside world. Aside from that, I think that this series is off to a promising start and I’m looking forward to see what this author is going to do with everyone’s storyline.

I need a minute because that was one hell of a ride!! This was gritty, unforgivable, and shock worthy with revengeful lust that will have you bracing for impact. Aleksei Popov is back and badder than ever and he wants his kingdom. You know what they say about fallen kings, once they get up and adjust their crown, be ready for a more ruthless king.
I fell in love with the first book of this duet and after reading the cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on part two. Alek was thrown a curveball and he wanted nothing more than to get back what was rightfully his including Ella. But things are far from what they seem and what was supposed to be a slightly tough climb to the top, will end up being the biggest fight of his life because he’s not going into battle. He’s going to war.
Told from dual pov’s The Devil’s Crown will have you biting your nails your nails until the very end. Everything that you thought can go wrong, will. Friends will be enemies, enemies will be friends and enemies, and you my friend, will need a drink and a therapist trying to figure things out. Ella and Alek’s journey will be a long and bloody because if you know them, it will have bullet holes and scars. Their crowns will be tarnished and need adjusting, but you can never expect anything different from this couple and that’s the reason why you will be rooting for them. They were Perfectly imperfect with a bloody side and let me tell you: you’ll love it, crave it, and devour it.
I’m going to be honest and say that I haven’t read a lot of this author’s books but based on what I’ve read so far, she’s quickly becoming one of my must read authors. This book came with a warning and you need to listen to the author when she says that it gets dark and gritty. This is what we crave in a dark romance and we embrace the gritty, enjoy the sick, and relish in the chaos because we secretly love it!!
If you haven’t read this duet yet, get yourself a nice glass of wine and enjoy the crazy!
