Daddy Webber is a big D bag in the beginning ok but still ... what a man. Ma lort.
Silver is just that girl. Honestly, thURGHHHHHHHH. SO FUCKING GOOD.
Daddy Webber is a big D bag in the beginning ok but still ... what a man. Ma lort.
Silver is just that girl. Honestly, the kind im envious of. Despite not having a great upbringing with even less great parents, she still is sweet. Sunshine. literally, the woman makes every effort to smile even at her own expense. But fear not because whilst she is a genuine angel.. the lady has her breaking point, and honestly, I was here for it. Sweet, loyal, and forgiving beyond measure. A badass in her own right and quick frankly kickass too. What is not to love?!.
Webber is a dick ok. He was mean and stubborn at his own expense and rightfully so because he deserved a little crazy after being mean but.... he didn't deserve the whole crazy train he brought down on himself. I'm toxic AF though because he was just delectable. Standoffish but also protective. Let me tell you when you get his core? that sweet is finger licking good. He took care of his, took no bull and loved her (FINALLY) how she deserved and I was here for it all.
They had crazy chemistry and I was about to jump true the pages and poke his eye out if he didn't get his shit together. THANKFULLY for my mental health he did and lord it was soo good. The sweet. The banter.. the teasing and saucy. That man took care of business.
JASPER!!!!! MAGAWD. WTF. LANI. for you to sprinkle that shit in and leave me hanging... AUDACIOUS AUDACITY.
I love these characters and the family they've made. Also Eedie and Hai!!!! I cannot. I cried. we love a supportive dad.
This one was a wild ride on the crazy train and there was most definitely never a dull moment let me tell you. I ranted, raved and gave myself high blood pressure. I swooned, gassped all the gusps and whooped in sheer satisfaction. I was shookith to my being and feared for their lives in serval parts. It was a fucking rollercoaster. But what a ride.
oh, all the weird, wonderful, and outrageously dysfunctional. How I loved you.
Pandora is a sweet in with the times Vampire just trying to live her lioh, all the weird, wonderful, and outrageously dysfunctional. How I loved you.
Pandora is a sweet in with the times Vampire just trying to live her life when she's forced to settle quickly to inherit her fortune. Poor gal. But also... nothing would have had her moving onto cutie Victor than this marriage of convenience. she's sweet, bookish and most definitely under sells herself. Apart from the pointy teefs our girl is very relatable. A big dreamer a little stuck. A overwhelming family with all the crazy and huge expectations for her sweet soul.
Victor our sweet bookish hero. All the smarts. Almost to polite but also I so loved that because he was just DREAMY. kind and compassionate even when he had no clue what was happening around him. also... a little freaky in the sheets?.. absolutely.
LUCY AND ELIAS!. I NEED WANT MORE. The wolf and the Vampire?.. basically fought like cat and dog with all the tension and chemistry. so delectable I cannot even.
anywhoo... back to Pandora and Victor. I truly loved them. whilst the Vampire aspect was cool and im super interested in this world and the revolving door of vampires in Pandoras family.... Pandy and Victor felt like an old school romance from the ages. The sweet chivalrous kind. It was just swoony.
Jessie always kills it. Great characters, an interesting world and a fabulous ending. the only thing left to say is when am I getting L+ E's book?! that's about to be a doozy I know for sure....more
Seriously. Knowing this is the end makes me want to blubber my days away. I have been there for every release. Burn is my most read/ listened to book Seriously. Knowing this is the end makes me want to blubber my days away. I have been there for every release. Burn is my most read/ listened to book period. To put that into perspective... I can average two 400/500 books a day easily. I have averaged that and more through certain periods of my life over the past few years, and I've been reading religiously since 2012. That's ALOT of books, and yet Burn is the one I always go back to. My paperback is so loved it looks beaten. This series being over? .. honestly, I'll mourn the loss more than the loss of some family members. It is so hard to find a comfort author who just gets it perfect every time for you, and she is that, and this series is home to me. So am I being dramatic? I mean to some, maybe.. but also let me cry into my Skittles and Cuppa in peace, ok?
I just can't believe it.
Anywho..
Naomi.. gah, I loved her. Strong, independent, and takes no bull. She's everything I love in an FMC.
Luka is delectable, overbearing, overprotective, and arrogant. He doesn't share, but he treasures his things well, and good lort was he wicked in the best sense.
The side characters are always a joy bringing life to the pages with their extra personalities. Lou is a character I will forever wish we knew more of. Jolene is the same. The banter, bickering, and outrageous shenanigans? I live for it.
Suzanne did a phenomenal job as always in pulling me into the story and keeping me invested. I loved all the twists and revelations. Of course, there were times I wished for more, but honestly, I feel like this was a perfect ending to a truly great series. I'm just greedy.
I suppose I have to accept this is it and move forward to the next series upcoming from her!. How exciting!!!...more
I was NOT prepared. Not even a little. The emotional whiplash I felt. The sheer fuming anger... ma lort, it's a good thing it was only my baby here toI was NOT prepared. Not even a little. The emotional whiplash I felt. The sheer fuming anger... ma lort, it's a good thing it was only my baby here to listen to me rant about useless men and their utter lack of care because Matthew?! THE AUDACIOUS AUDACITY!. Steam was shooting out my ears.
Nico is perfection. Protective, loyal, sweet, vulnerable, and thoughtful. This is a MAN. One who communicates beautifully. Whom is emotionally mature and not afraid to ask questions. He wisked me off my damn feet.
Blair... oh my Blair. What a woman. All class, sweet and genuine. She was a quiet strength. Independent. She second guessed herself when there was no reason, too, and my heart hurt for her. Hurt for the woman who wanted to believe she was loved. Who deserves to feel safe and seen. To be cared for beyond meer satisfaction but emotionally. What a class lady she is.
I loved these two and the combination of elegance and sweet they made. Literally, a match made in heaven, they complemented each other. It was easy to believe them even before they touched. The common interests, the love of good food. The time they took to listen to one another. I could go on and on.. they just fit perfectly.
Of course, there is an element of forbidden, but frankly, that dies and dries up real fast. It truly is an emotional rollercoaster, but I love these mafia lots so freaking much, and Nico and Blairs' story is another fabulous addition. The side characters always give me life, and I am so curious about Zeno... obviously, there are others, but Zeno is definitely one I can not wait to read!.

Ok, I've been hanging. Summer flu, teething babies, and a pre-teen with a chest infection meant im a little late to the party, but I got here in the end.
Was it necessary for Moody Mav and wind up Ainsley to have another story? probably not but also absolutely! Their journey is not one of soft romancing and sweet nothings. they are young, and with that comes the crazy life happenings that are ever changing. The emotional rollercoasters that come with first loves, uncontrollable outside happenings, and life in general. It's tough to be that age anyway, but when you combine it with many other factors, it's an overload.
Of course, there are moments of stupidity and imaturity. Times when you want to throttle them both because you just want them to be honest and talk instead of hiding things. However, hindsight is a funny thing, and with those mistakes do come growth and learning, and you get that from them. Maverick and Ainsley had their story of games and teasing.. this was about what was under that fun. This was them picking apart the barriers and really being vulnerable with one another learning both individually and together as they navigated life together. Something completely new for them both.
I loved them. Mav's moody huffs when he secretly laps up Ainsley crazy is everything. The quiet, sweet, and loud obsession. It's a delightful combination. Ainsley holds my heart for her crazy shenanigans being utterly herself and pulling the fun out of Mav regardless of him agreeing to it or not.
The tension, the chemistry... PERFECTION. This journey gave us a more honned version of them being together, and I was here for it all. The sass, the exasperation, the banter and the bickering. The relationship that came from a begrudged friendship turned into something so special. Despite outside influence trying to cause choas and destruction.
I love them, and this was the icing on their journey for me that closed the book perfectly....more
em excuse me?! that ENDING?! WHAT THE EVERLOVING DEAR LORT WAS THAT?!.
This is why I do not read unfinished series's. This feeling right here. Despairem excuse me?! that ENDING?! WHAT THE EVERLOVING DEAR LORT WAS THAT?!.
This is why I do not read unfinished series's. This feeling right here. Despair and misery. It's diabolical.
anywho...
what a start to this series. I went in blind and was thrust into this intriguing world and the many wonders that came with it. I loved the characters and their development. I thoroughly enjoyed the world building and what was fleshed out thus far. However, knowing the ending, I'm curious as to all the details we don't have. I do feel like it's only going to make it better, which is exciting, giving that I am already a big fan, and this is just scratching the surface.
I really enjoyed the authors style of writing and the audio, which, for me, is rare because I definitely have a preference for reading as opposed to listening, but I found myself lost in the story listening. What a ride it was!.
It is a great find even if the cliffhanger at the end is horrific for my mental well-being....more
This is a book that most definitely has alot of upsetting content for someone who is even remotely sensitiveDear lort
I have no words for that ending.
This is a book that most definitely has alot of upsetting content for someone who is even remotely sensitive. Be aware.
Me how ever ... I soaked every delicious inch up and basked in the crazy. I can't put into words right now so I'm just going to move on to the next book.
Hero complex meets someone who desperately needs to be saved. Enemies to Lovers brings you the story of Copper and Baker and their turbulent heartfeltHero complex meets someone who desperately needs to be saved. Enemies to Lovers brings you the story of Copper and Baker and their turbulent heartfelt journey to HEA. Man, hold on to your selves, its an emotional one.
I was so glad for the warning. Being 5 months post partum, this book relates to so much of my life right now. Perhaps that's why I had about 27392 breakdowns throughout.
Baker.. my God. That poor woman. Not only did she have such a quick delivery it literally tore her from asshole to ear hole. But her shitty ex turns up with his new peace mid delivery?! the fucking audacity. Baker struggles with being ok autopilot through the first 4 months of sweet Holts homelife. She's surviving off of fresh air detached from life with not one single life line. The empathy I felt for her. The angry I raged for her and the situation. She was so strong. I loved her, I respected her journey and rooted for her finding herself again.
Cooper is just delectable. Find yourself a man who won't give you the choice but instead build a foundation for you to focus on getting yourself better. Copper was supportive, kind, and attentive. The way he took charge wad everything. The sweet, the funny, and good lord the stalker tendencies? yum. yes, please. bahaha. This man does not believe hes worth it but it turned out hes the best out of them all. A protector. Dependable. A home comfort and a partner.
It's messy, real and raw. It doesn't start sweet and that's what makes them so special. Both Copper and Baker had to navigate intense internal shit to be able to get to be together, and man, was it worth it. They just gelled so well together. the chemistry was outstanding and the connection built was one to last a lifetime and then some.
I loved the side character interaction in this one. The friendship, the support... it brought all the banter, bickering, and outrageous shenanigans, and I was here for is and oh so curious about them and their future. As per, Lani smashed it. she's never failed me.
side note.. the fucking whiplash from Reign?! OUTRAGEOUS. I was like NOPE. Then I felt guilty.. then I was fucking flabbergasted because WHAT THE FUCK?!. It was crazy....more
Her MC stories are not super dark or old school, meaning that whilst some rules definitely still apply, women are not quitoh, I love me some Chantal.
Her MC stories are not super dark or old school, meaning that whilst some rules definitely still apply, women are not quite the second class citizen they used to be. I appreciate that. Nothing rages me more than a man who treats his woman like shit.. gives a sad effort of an apology wrapped up in his me man its the way it is bullshit and they live happily ever after. Thankfully, this is not the case, but for those wanting that raw gritty old school, I feel... maybe this isn't for you.
Luella grew up knowing that Haze would be hers one day. Her best friends brother but also her friend, her protector and her solace. Until one day, he just disappeared from her life. fast forward some major live events and trauma, and my girl is getting back on her feet and wanting a night on her back for fun. Of course, the man she drools over happens to be Haze unexpectedly. I really enjoyed Luella. I found her to be very likeable with a good balance of fiesty and reasonable. she was hurt but nit stupid and she didn't take shit from Haze or any of the men despite being a sweet treat queen.
Haze my guy... he had some trauma. This man and his saviour complex was something else but I was here for it. He was intentional with what he said and honest regardless of it hurting. He loved Lu for forever but didn't think he was good enough. sighs... he was more than enough let me tell you. Haze and his possessiveness.. man, my guy was on fire, and I was swooning my heart away.
These two had a river under the bridge but also very relevant drama in real time to navigate through. It wasn't easy, it never is, especially when the history is so vast and the emotion so big. They bickered and clashed until the clashed and crashed and then by that point tensions where a swinging and the undeniable could not be avoided. the chemistry was INTENSE. I was here for it. But that connection they had was so sweet. the fact she knew him well enough to know his struggles and the work he put in to get to where he is. The fact that man bought a whole damn building for her dream!!!!. I cannot.
The side characters are 10/10. I need Lore now but also.. the twins. Blade... there are so many. I really did love the dynamics they brought with their larger than life personalities and big hearts despite the hard exterior.
I love this one... my only complaint is the end was a little abrupt, and whilst there was an explanation, my brain needs more fleshing out personally.

Man, she kIt's not often Jessie does the single parent troupe or surprise baby or anything regarding children until the epilogues. But when she does? Man, she kills it. It's like your favourite seasonal treat you've been waiting all year round for.
Perhaps it's more meaningful to me right now, having just had my baby girl, but honestly.. Jessie got it perfect.
Zoe is a hard-working single mom just trying to make ends meet for her baby girl, Lainey. Her circumstances are out of her control and less than ideal, but Zoe not for one second begrudged her daughter. She spends every moment with her baby, making sure she's safe but trying to provide in all the ways she can. Zoe's sweet, gentle, and has the patience of a saint. She's resilient, non judgmental, and just gets on with her day despite life never giving her a break.
There is NOTHING like a tattooed baddy that's sweet with a baby to get your ovaries twinkling. Coast is a little rough around the edges with a past that was very unexpected. He's cool, calm, and collected and took everything in his stride. This man cared for a baby, gave a momma a much needed break, and didn't even think twice about it. He is a saint. That is all. oh and sexy as hell.
These two are just so sweet. Both Zoe and Coast had histories that impacted their lives, but they weren't victim to those traumas. They grew through them together. That slow burn was delectable and combined with the genuine heartfelt moments that felt so sweet between Zoe, Coast, and little Lainey. Man, I was SWOONING and sighing in utter satisfaction. They just made me happy.
The side characters are always the gift that keeps giving. the chemistry between them all.. that family dynamic is just everything. A biker compound may not be a conventional place to raise a baby, but that baby got herself a family of fierce protectors and endless love, and zoe got that too plus some much needed support.
I laughed, swooned, sighed, got angry, and ranted a little. I respected that tired momma who was doing her best, and I loved that Coast was man enough to step up before he even realised he did. 6 journey was sweet and full of growth, and the ending was the cherry on top of this sweet pie.
There is never a moment of disappointment from this author....more
Searcy is my favourite kind of heroine. she's all manner of prickly but not unjustly so. She's overworked, overahhh, I did not want this book to end.
Searcy is my favourite kind of heroine. she's all manner of prickly but not unjustly so. She's overworked, overwhelmed, and overstimulated. She doesn't have the time to take a minute because she lives on eggshells seeing to other people's needs. but Searcy has a whole lot of heart, and despite her fiesty attitude, she's protective of those she loves, taking no messing from anyone.
Posy is just delish. I mean, this cowboy, motorcycle filthy mouthed man meat is all kinds of delectable. He's got just the right amount of confidence and care. just the perfect balance of strong but sweet, and I could not get enough of it. His morals, his protectiveness. GAH. I needed more.
Only a wicked, confident man would take on a woman with a chip on her shoulder bigger than Mount everest and love every tongue lashing he seen and got himself from Searcy and he took it with a smile. Gluten for punished, but boy, was it the best he ever had. The chemistry is utter perfection. Their journey progressed perfectly with a few what the F's along the way. The side characters only added more personality to the pages and had me oh so curious about certain people.
It is safe to say there never was a dull moment. Lots of laughter, crazy antics and fanny flutters all round. Lani never fails me. The sadest part is awaiting 6ish weeks for the next!....more

as perIf ever there was a book boyfriend to snatch your soul out of your body with so much kindness, it's actually overwhelming.. Wilder is that guy.
as per with any Meghan book, you are getting all manner of crazy dysfunctional shenanigans. I laughed so hard... I might add I was driving at the time. I had to stop the damn book because I was crying and struggling to focus on the road. scottie wielding the almighty rubber pork sword as a weapon against electronics/listening devices almost had me crashing.
Scottie has a whole lot of hurt buried deep. so deep she doesn't even know just how much it affected her. She was sweet and kind but needed control and put herself in situations that, at times, whilst frustrating, was also very relatable. the need to be seen to be liked.. God love her she was just trying her best.
Wilder.. the man that he is. Just a genuinely kind, compassionate guy with the best of intentions. He's funny, loyal to a fault, and seen beneath the walls, Scottie had sky high around her. He listened, took the time, and made all efforts. Man, I truly do not have a bad thing to say because if a perfect man exists, I'm telling you it's him.
These are very different but balanced each other out. She needed the touch, to be seen, to be cared for, and he needed to give all of that. it worked perfectly, and despite it starting off as fake.. I very quickly became invested in them and their journey. I mean, who doesn't love a best friend's brother/ fake start romance? It had everything. A strong emotional connection. Great character growth. A whole lot of laughter. Moments of true vulnerability and, of course, a slow burn that was exceptional.

Nova and Luca's story is a quirky mix of endearing ,amusing, heartfelt, and a little frustrating.
Nova is a little butt hurt and stubborn, but under that snark is a sweet centre just begging to be swept off of her feet. she's relatable, a little messy, and just down to earth.
Luca is the husband everyone wished they had. Sweet, thoughtful.. A little goofy and a whole lot of sexy. He knew what he wanted and went all in.
She was guarded whilst he was wide open, but together, they made a picture-perfect sweet couple that tickled all my pickles. The banter was next level with the chemistry serving EVERY.DAMN.TIME. They had me laughing, feeling all giddy and just wholy wanting them to be right. They literally were the perfect match balancing eachother alone the way until you couldn't imagine them not being a them.
As always, Sara had me laughing till my belly hurt, swooning and wishing that I could be there in that book physically getting to see these crazy characters and their journey evolve. It's always a pleasure reading her stories, and this is certainly not different.

Ella and Josh's filthy adventures continue and with the one and only Heath Manson. One week, new proposals and a whole lot of filthy escapades. What could go wrong?.
Ella and Josh are locked in loved up and ready for more spice in their already hot life. Heath is quite the enigma for them. A desire that's more than a dirty craving.
These three navigated their way through forbidden fantasies but that's not all that was forbidden. It's just a job right?. Feelings not included right?..
WRONG.
lines are crossed and boundaries pushed. This wholesome threesome get vulnerable, lost in the ecstasy of tangled sheets and feelings exploring each other in ways never played with before. It's was tension filled, mind-blowing, and all kinds of sinful. But alongside the obvious.. the emotional impact of this trio is out of this world and had me thinking. For the couple that don't want for anything and yet yurn for the man they can't have. The isolated man who craves the touch of two people paid to be there. The fear, the confusion, and the lust. It was a toxic trifecta that had me gripping my seat and holding on for dear life.
Also that ending?... EXCUSE ME MA'AM. WTF. What the actual FUCK. HOW DARE YOU DO ME LIKE THAT...more
Saff's book was not the book I was expecting next but it did not disappoint.
Saff is one of Renzo's capos and a particularly vicious little one at thaSaff's book was not the book I was expecting next but it did not disappoint.
Saff is one of Renzo's capos and a particularly vicious little one at that. Saff jumped from home to hell and back again throughout her child/teen years and that most certainly caused many issues. Jump forward the adulthood and it's took a bit of time for our girl to adjust. Is she stable? I mean is anyone really but she definitely found her people and got into the swing of life building a little empire for herself working herself to where she got.. Anger issues and all.
Saff is hilarious playing the business woman. Like bambi on ice in her heels she still stood tall and walked the walk until she could talk the talk. She's confident, fiercely protective and a little sweet under her salty for those special enough to experience the sweet. She's also as stubborn as they come and her bickering with Bastian had me howling.
Soren is a tall drink of whatever is your favourite drink. He's smooth as all get up. Sweet as can be and dirty in the slow sensual kind that just makes everything flutter. This man even knowing Saff was a little shady .. put in the WORK. He took the time to wrangle her spicy defences. He payed attention to what she liked, what made her feel safe. He TOOK THE TIME. That is all. A fine man indeed he is.
These two set fire to the pages with their crazy tension, sweet moments of vulnerability and secret keeping shenanigans. They had me laughing, swooning and whooping in satisfaction. The moment he cooked with her, the book store.. GAH. The fucking book store took me out. The foot rubs. honestly so freaking perfect together.
Of course with every Jessie book comes great side characters, all manner of crazy banter, bickering and interfering. They truly do make a book even when the main characters are spectacular, it would not be the same without the crazy that comes along side them. Saff and Soren's story took on a life of its own with heated touches, burning chemistry, badly hidden secrets, a few wtf moments, a whole lot of personality and plenty of laughs. Oh and to finish it off a pet pigeon and dream life.
How are we onto a new series?!! man, these months are flying, but bring me the stories!!!
Grumpy Sunshine did not disappoint. baby, I've been here sincHow are we onto a new series?!! man, these months are flying, but bring me the stories!!!
Grumpy Sunshine did not disappoint. baby, I've been here since Boomtown first released and still am blown away with creativity. The emotion. The relatable characters so perfectly flawed. Everything about this story hit in all the best ways.
Aelle is a nurse tech who honestly has been living a pretty tragic life due to circumstances out of her control. That saying blood is thicker than water isn't always the case and definitely not for my girl here. Aelle is sweet and fiesty with just enough bite. She love hard but doesn't scare easy. Honestly she was easy to love through her resilience. And especially so with the bond her and her sister shared.
Chevy baby. I just knew you would not do me dirty like it was led to believe. Damn though this man is FINE. All grumpy alpha with so much attitude and an even bigger heart. He just hit every yes button.
Lani just knows how to have me ugly crying like my life depends on it, and quite frankly, being 13 weeks postpartum means my emotional state is already on a knife edge. I about near had a damn breakdown. But there is the magic in her writing. Chevy and Aelle took me on a journey. her soft to his hard. I laughed, swooned, cursed, and cried my way through their story only to wish for more at the end. oh and the characters... the side characters as always are the gift that kept giving.
I have been WAITING for Violets story for what felt like a lifetime. It wasn't.. BUT.. it felt like it. Just like her daddy Adler, Violet left a mark I have been WAITING for Violets story for what felt like a lifetime. It wasn't.. BUT.. it felt like it. Just like her daddy Adler, Violet left a mark on you the minute her character came to life. Lord, was it better than I anticipated.
Violet is snarky, too independent, a workaholic, and coach surfer with a love of tacos and extra coffee super creamy and sweet. She gets bedazzled over cute frogs with cheeks and will throw anyone at the crazy huge bugs in the forest to save herself. She isn't morally arrogant. She's realistic, relatable, and thinks for herself.
Wick is not entirely a surprise but more than I'd hope for. He's funny, charismatic, and real. He pushed Violet in ways she needed but also was sweet and attentive in ways that surprised her. He's was all man. Had the gift of the gods. All the banter and sass and just the right amount of dirty. Plus, the man cared about the planet. What's not to love.
These two made a fine balance of sarcasm, sweet and outrageously hilarious. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, they could not resist one another and I believed every minute of it. The chemistry was INSANE. The hammock?!!! Excuse me. The banter and bickering.. I laughed so hard. Oh and guest appearances from Adler and Lou?! Just yes. Now I'm excited about which princess is next. LOVED IT....more

She winds a tale filled with endless laughter, butterfly belly flutters and tear jerking moments. It really was a rollercoaster.
Hudson bless his soul really didn't have much luck here. Yes he is work driven and that does blind him but this man felt so much it hurt. Him trying to dodge sloane's very eager advances was hilarious!. I respected his ability to hold out as long as he did.
Sloane is nothing if not determined. She found a solution to her problems and wasn't taking no for an answer. She was hilarious in her antics. Passionate with everything she did and also sweet as could be.
They were so opposite they balanced one another out. They bickered, laughed, teased, and had sweet moments of vulnerability. It just worked even though it shouldn't have.
Side note for the side characters that just kept giving. Sloane and Stacey's conversations had me laughing so hard!!!.
