Anyways, Shadow Kiss is the third installment of the Vampire Academy series. I loved this sequel because everything that happened here was remarkable. I saw the strength of character Rose was able to develop. I also loved the romance between her and Dimitri. The whole book was also filled with adrenaline-pulling action scenes which were a lot better than the first two books.
The great aspect of this book was the climax which was super awesome. And that MAJOR TWIST! I did not expect that something like that will happen! Richelle Mead took a great risk in pursuing that plot twist but hey, she was able to pull it off!
I also loved the development of some supporting characters here, including Adrian, Christian, and Lissa. Not to mention Eddie!
As a whole, this book is kick-ass! I loved everything in it!

The only thing that makes it different is the POV which is Cam's.
I love hearing Cam's thoughts here. I also love the way he's calling Avery shortcake, it sounds so cute!
But to be honest, there's nothing really much that happened here. Everything was totally the same with the first book. Perhaps I'm just glad that I was reminded of how I adored Cam and Avery in the first book. So yeah... I've got nothing much to say. Haha!
"For what it's worth, you showed me something-- there is such a thing as a perfect day."
I can't believe how sad and challenging this book is. This"For what it's worth, you showed me something-- there is such a thing as a perfect day."
I can't believe how sad and challenging this book is. This is a total heart-wrencher. Damn you emotional books! (sorry for the words... I just can't help it.) I'm too devastated right now. :(
But anyways... Since I've heard nothing but maddeningly sad things about this book before I started it, and since it was even associated with The Fault in Our Stars, I already had an expectation that this is going to be something big. And I was right and was no longer shocked because at some point I knew it was coming.
A story that tackles about delicate issues that are common among teenagers, I guess this book rather speaks about the harsh reality that is going on in the society nowadays. It's an eye-opener and it clearly represents the struggle every child or teenager undergoes when he or she is being bullied in school. It's also something that depicts the importance of family relationships and parent-child communication.
This book had a lot of feels... at least from the beginning up to the middle part. I loved Finch's character and I have to admit that I've grown attached to him. I also adored his and Violet's interactions and their smart-ass exchange of ideas. The way they eventually formed a non-dragging romantic relationship was also well-elaborated. And oh, their sweetness was really, really cute!
When I got to the final chapters, however, that's when I realized that I'm about to cross the bridge of emotional torture. I became sad and angry but I didn't cry because like I said, I already had an idea of what's about to come.
So what am I supposed to feel after reading this book?
I hate it. I love it. I am totally conflicted right now. This is too difficult.
All I can say is, no matter how devastating this book was, it was still an incredible and fun read. It has full of sense and the writing style of the author was brilliant and fluffy. I also loved how the author made funny views about some facts regarding the delicate issues that the book tackles. It was at least a story that entertains while teaching you something deep that basically changes you.
"Sometimes, for some people, there's no such thing as happily ever after."

This book is dark, gritty, and completely hard to put down...
Picture this: You were still a child when your father-- who's the only family you had, was taken away from you and was put into prison. You grew up in a foster home and were eventually led to a new family that brought you an even more traumatic experience. You were raped, degraded, and your life became simply a thing you despise. And then you met someone who could possibly end all your rage. All your life, you wanted revenge and that someone is the key to have it all done. But what if everything, in the end, will just ruin you all over again? This was what happened to Nina Vanderwal, a totally messed-up character who wanted nothing but revenge as she grew up.
I've never read a book as dark as a dungeon as this. This author seriously nailed such a theme that basically blow my mind, wrenched my gut, and made my heart leap into my throat. The plotline was sickeningly outrageous that it kept me anticipating, wanting to know everything until I completely get the answers that are building up inside my head. How E.K. Blair plotted those brutal and sadistic series of events just made me admire her boldness in this very challenging genre.
The author created such characters that are totally twisted. It made me question how far their insanity has gone all throughout the book.
This book will absolutely make you go WTF the entire time. It's like the author just wanted to throw as much disturbing things in here. A combination of rape, BDSM, crime, deception, lies, taboo, and everything twisted. The writing style of this author successfully produced the intended result to me. MIND-BLOWN!
And oh, did I mention it has an ending that made me freak the heck out?
If you are in for dark, completely out-of-your-comfort-zone reads, then this one is a highly recommended book!

Wow, what a fun read! Everything in this book is loaded with all kinds of cuteness. I like the setting, the premise, and the whole idea of this book. I was kind of, in some way, in love with it.
Flipped is not just purely fluff, it's deeper than what I've expected because it conveys great messages that serve as an inspiration to the readers.
"One's character is set at an early age. The choices you make now will affect you for the rest of your life."
I like the characters in this book, especially Bryce's grandfather. I really learned a lot from his words of wisdom. Definitely worth pondering!
All throughout the book I was entertained, especially by Juli and Bryce's love/hate relationship which was totally adorable! My only concern with this book was that I kind of had a hard time going through the same events from both POVs.
But overall, it was a great and refreshing read. I highly recommend this to all YA contemporary fans who are in a search of a light and cute read.

I fell in love the first (A digital copy generously provided by the author Nadia Nader in exchange for an honest review) Thank you so much, Ms. Nadia!
I fell in love the first time I saw the cover of this book. It's pretty! Perhaps it's one of the reasons why it caught my interest and had me excited to read it. Apart from the coverly love, I also found it unexpectedly good when it comes to the story itself.
I honestly did not have any expectations with this book but when I finally delved into the world of Misty Hills and all its magical and mysterious tales, well, I was smitten. Actually, I don't have any penchant for witch stories but this book surprisingly enthralled me.
The main character is not annoying and that's what I love about this book. I usually find it hard to like a YA female character especially when it comes to fantasy books. They tend to get annoying all throughout the book! But Vivian is a likeable character. She's not angsty and irritating although she has a lot of reasons to, given the fact that she just lost her mom and she was eventually thrown to a very strange place where peculiar things evolve around. But yes, I love this girl.
The other characters are also tolerable, interesting, and mysterious. I still could not judge Hunter and Jaxon's character and I have this feeling that either of them are hiding something, and that's what I'm going to find out in the next book.
Overall, The Enchanted Rose is a good read. It's thought-provoking and it kept me interested the whole time. It's also a light and easy read. I am surely going to read its sequel! :)

(Finally made a review. :D)
I finished this book weeks ago and I rated it 5 stars. Why? because it's simply beautiful!
The Redemption of Callie and Kayden is way too intense, touching, and emotional compared to the first book The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden. There is so much to love in this sequel. I really feel the emotions when both Kayden and Callie experienced so much pain and struggle just to to survive and be healed from their awful situations. I literally cried… especially during the (view spoiler)[ time when Callie finally told his family about what happened to her and what Caleb had done to her. (hide spoiler)] I don’t normally cry while reading but this totally got me. Have I known, I would have picked lots of tissues before I started it in the first place.
The romance between Callie and Kayden also got me in my feels! Their sweetness and the way they were too comfortable around each other was totally my undoing. (Where can I find a Kayden Owens in my life??)
I admit the start was a bit slow but halfway through it already became more and more interesting. The ending, on the other hand, was satisfying and it led towards Luke’s story—which is definitely a must-read, too!
I've never been so satisfied, so really, really satisfied with a series' ending. This is absolutely on"I don't just love you, Anna. I adore you."
I've never been so satisfied, so really, really satisfied with a series' ending. This is absolutely one of the best series-enders ever! I love Sweet Reckoning and I love the whole series itself. Wendy Higgins, you are such an amazing writer and I mean it with all my heart!
Sweet Reckoning is nothing but perfection. I love everything that happened in this book. It was clearly wrapped up as best as I could have hoped for.
First, there was a great character improvement with Kaidan and Anna. They both grew more mature and intelligent. And the way they handled challenging things was really amazing. The plot delivery was also awesome. Compared to the first two books, Sweet Reckoning was fast-paced and a lot more remarkable. And oh, the romance. There were lots of surprises that really stunned me when it came to Kaidan and Anna's relationship. Can I just say that they're now officially my new favorite OTP? Hell yeah!
I also love the way the Nephilim characters stick to each other all throughout the book. Blake, Ginger, Marna, Kope, Zania-- they are all amazing! And even Jay.
There were sad things that happened in this book, but it was paid off with its SWEET and happy ending. I'm actually very emotional right after reading this book. *sobs* True to its word, it's really a SWEET and perfect tale. Never will I forget this series because I totally embrace it and it's now one of my favorite trilogies!
I HIGHLY recommend this to everyone! I swear. You'll miss half of your reading life if you won't read this. (Excuse me for being exaggerated. I just LOVE this book and this series!) (-:
"You bring out everything in me, little Ann. All of it."
What went wrong?
While the first book Sweet Evil was phenomenal, Sweet Peril seemed to be "You bring out everything in me, little Ann. All of it."
What went wrong?
While the first book Sweet Evil was phenomenal, Sweet Peril seemed to be sort of a letdown. I don't know what to think. There was just too much going on in this book but most of those things are not important I don't think they should be included. The plot progression was a bit frustrating. And the first half was also a bit slow.
Apart from that, I find the forced love triangle quite unnecessary. Don't get me wrong. I love Kopano but I don't think he needs to be a love interest, too.
Aaaaand! Anna Whitt. Omg what happened to this sweet and likeable girl in the first book? Her obsession with Kaidan was too overbearing here.
*breathes heavily*
I don't like girls who are soooo obsessed with a guy. And Anna was just that kind of girl in this book. :( She even had the tendency to be easily affected whenever Kaidan is around and I guess that's my major issue here.
Kaidan, on the other hand, was quite a jerk-- well, most of the time. His constant avoiding games irritated me. I don't like what he was doing to Anna during the first parts of this book. Thankfully, he was able to come to his senses during the later part. Still, I am not a fan of his behavior in this book.
But anyways, some parts of this book are otherwise interesting. The introduction of new characters like Zania and Caterina, the epic prologue, and Blake and Flynn's amusing personalities.
As a whole, this book is not so good for me. But it's not bad either. I still found myself enjoying some parts of it. :)
First off, Switched is really gorgeous. Just look at the cover. Isn't it so beautiful? I personally chose this edition because the cover has some workFirst off, Switched is really gorgeous. Just look at the cover. Isn't it so beautiful? I personally chose this edition because the cover has some work of magic in it. It's like, it has an ability to suck me into its world. Beautiful!
Second, the premise is really, really good. I love fae stories, and trolls are something new to me. I wanted to know more about trolls because I really find them interesting.
And of course, the fact that the female character Wendy Everly is a troll and a changeling, I knew I will really like this book.
So, was this book a yay or nay?
I must say, a little bit of both.
I love it because honestly, Amanda Hocking's writing style is so flawless and very easy to read. She uses words that are light and undemanding. She doesn't complicate everything and she doesn't give me trouble analyzing such things. Her character and world-building is also non-complex. What you read is what you get.
Now what made me become (a little) bit disappointed was the plot. It was neatly done, but it was weak. The progression was poorly established. I think there were scenes that weren't really necessary but they were given emphasis (I guess to lengthen the whole book) but to be honest, the interesting things only happened at the last few chapters of the book.
Another thing that bothered me was the existence of the Vittras. These are the creatures that act as antagonists. They are Trylle's greatest enemies. In this book, their descriptions unfortunately didn't make an exceptional appeal. Their physicality was so vague. I couldn't really imagine how they look like. Do they look like human or something?
My expectation for this book was also different. Because this book talks about trolls, I really expected to see some unworldly mythical creatures here. Creatures that look like these:
Because we're talking about trolls, right?
So why did I only see humans and no trolls at all? This is fantasy so I was looking for something different. Anyway, I understand it as I've read further, because the author eventually explained it through her characters that trolls don't really look mystical but instead, they look human. So yeah, I couldn't do anything about that. BUT STILL. I want to see REAL TROLLS. :-/
Nevertheless, the thing that absolutely lifted the whole story was Finn. This character is so amazing. I like him from the beginning up to the end. Even though he's brooding and he was quite snobby in most parts of the book, the gentleness and protectiveness in him were so tangible.
I have nothing against Wendy, on the other hand. She's an okay character and she doesn't annoy me, but I think she needs some development. There were parts when she doesn't know what to do and she's very dependent to other people despite her extraordinary abilities. Hopefully her character will get better in the next books.
As a whole, this book is good. I just think it needs more elements to make it really sensational. My friends who have already read this series told me that it's going to get better in the next installments, so we'll see. Good luck to me! (oh, it rhymes! ha!)
I was not prepared for that little twist at the end and that major freaking cliffhanger ending!
When I started reading this, I did notWhat. Was. That?!
I was not prepared for that little twist at the end and that major freaking cliffhanger ending!
When I started reading this, I did not have a clue what this was about. Its premise is indistinct and hazy but I thought I decide to just go with the flow and eventually find out what the hype is about..
Little did I know that it will interest me and more as the story goes by. The mystery is quite catchy. More like the Mara Dyer series, but in a different sense. I like it.
And knowing it's the work of my favorite author CoHo, well, that seals the deal. :) Pretty much! I don't really have any idea about Tarryn Fisher's writing style because I was not able to read any of her books yet, so honestly, I can't quite determine and judge how good she is by reading this.
When it comes to the characters of this book, I love them, Silas and Charlie. They have that chemistry and they're kind of funny, too. Now when it comes to the overall storyline, it's good, but I guess it's not enough. I needed more. The plot is impressive (Thanks for CoHo and Tarryn's brilliant imagination), the sexy stuffs they incorporate here, but I was looking for more, I guess. (I wonder when the next book will come out?)
Anyway, I really had fun with this book. It's insane and beautiful in a f*cked up way. I love the unpredictability of the book and how it literally mind-blown the heck out of me. If you guys are up for a light yet intense, mind-boggling read, consider this one. Believe me, you'll freak out!
A masterpiece. A book that brings to life a magnificent, magical tale.
I couldn't think of better words to describe how I feel after reading this booA masterpiece. A book that brings to life a magnificent, magical tale.
I couldn't think of better words to describe how I feel after reading this book. I'm so overwhelmed. This book is just simply spectacular! That ending--- aaaah! I love it! That was so satisfying. The only thing that made me feel sad after reading this book is that it left me feeling nostalgic. I think I'm already having that so-called book hangover again.
I'd like to say congratulations to Leigh Bardugo (who by the way, made me feel happy yesterday because she noticed my Instagram post and she liked and made a comment there. Yay!) for giving such a nice conclusion to this series! Very, very wonderful and impressive, Ms. Leigh! Thank you so much because what I've expected is what I've really got.
So much had happened in this final Grisha book. There were lots of entertaining action scenes, dramas, and even revelations that finally made everything clear. I was surprised, shocked, saddened, and emotional. I already grew incredibly attached to this series so it's not that easy for me to just let it go.
What I've learned from this book and the entire series is that there's no such perfection in this world. Even the good ones, the Saints in particular, have dark sides. And of course, vice versa. Alina's character here is very wholesome. We might think she's perfect and always on the good side but the book described her as someone who has inner darkness and it either terrifies or overwhelms her. The Darkling, on the other side, is the same. I always have hopes that he's not entirely that bad and I think I was right in the end.
Darkness. You could hate it and hunger for it at the same time.
I really believe so. That's why this book has a lot of sense. It does not only talk about the things that revolve in fantasy. It's somehow based in reality. And it's what strikes me most.
Overall, this book is superb. And the entire series! And the best part? It's the "After" (Epilogue). That. Was. So. Surprising. Very epic and unforgettable. Once again, congratulations to the author. She so nailed an awesome ending. :) I will surely read her upcoming book, Six of Crows!

Frostbite was such a fantastic read! In this book, I got to know more of Rose and her life in the Vampire Academy. There were lots of exciting events that happened, including their adventure trip to Idaho wherein the students and the guardians intended to escape Strigoi threats. And of course, it was nice to finally meet the infamous Adrian Ivashkov. Fancy meeting this hot dude because indeed, he’s one swoony guy! I totally love his character. He reminds me so much of Daemon Black.
Well anyway, what totally made me admire this book is that it’s way better compared to the first one. It has a nice plot and Rose was getting more doses of badassery—the kickass kind of badassery that is funny and amusing. And of course, I love Dimitri more in this book. Love the way he shows Rose how mature he is when it comes to keeping his emotions in full control and when it comes to making decisions.
My favorite part of this book was the epic combat between Rose and her mom. Whoa! I’ve never been so fully entertained all my life! I just love that funny mother-daughter moment so much.
All in all, the book is great. It totally led me to read its next, Shadow Kiss.

Armentrout (which is one of my favorites) and read some reviews that compared both series as similar when it comes to concept and storyline.
Now after reading this book, I kind of think that yeah, they are indeed the same in almost everything. But anyway, this was published earlier so this is certainly original.
Vampire Academy is downright amazing. This book is my first Richelle Mead book so I was really excited about this I actually had high expectations.
And my verdict? My expectations were met. Richelle Mead is such a talented writer. I love her writing style and I love the characters, especially the badass Rose and the holy hotness incarnate Dimitri Belikov. They are so perfect together! And let me add, of course Lissa and Christian. These guys--- they are really amazing characters!
I adore this book as a whole, but there are two reasons that made me rate it only 4 out of 5 stars. And here they are:
1. The plot. The plot wasn't that flawless for me. The world building wasn't done perfectly, but I'm not saying it was bad. I understand that it's the first book of the series so maybe it wasn't that well-enhanced.
2. The action. I was looking for real, intense action scenes here but there were only brief and not really adrenaline-pulling ones.
However, there are lots of positive things about this book. These include the ending which was so freaking impressive and satisfying. No cliffhangers here so I love it! This book, overall, is wonderful. I'm actually reading its sequel Frostbite right now. :)

"You make me into someone I couldn't even imagine. You make me happy, even when you're awful. I would rather be with you-- even when you know that you seem to think is diminished-- than anyone else in the world."
I've come to realize one thing. Reading a Jojo Moyes book is like reading a Nicholas Sparks book. It's phenomenal and heartbreaking!
Before I've read this book, I've been warned by a few friends to prepare tissues because I will actually cry with this. And yes, they're certainly right. I DID CRY. Out Loud!
This book is an emotional torture for me. The plot, although quite predictable, engrossed me right from the first up to the last page. It has actually a simple plot but it turned out to be a masterwork of art.
What I love about the book is its huge impact to the reader. The characters are remarkable, especially Lou. I love her so much I can even relate myself to her. I also love the hilarious moments here, especially Lou and Will's witty banters.
If you guys want some heavy drama reads, then read this book. I highly recommend this to everybody!

I absolutely, totally love this book! A story about ex-lovers rekindling their spark, the book opened with an introduction of main characters Cassie Taylor and Ethan Holt, two renowned stage celebrities who had a high-profile relationship when they were at drama school. Three years after separating, they reunited again, with Ethan pursuing Cassie to bring back the old romance and start all over again.
Bad Romeo is a perfect novel for readers who are looking to breeze through a quick, easy, and enjoyable read. It's delightfully addicting, with a great chemistry between the characters that you just find yourself rooting for them until the end of the book. This novel was also coupled with a humor that will keep you entertained. I expected myself to enjoy this book before I started it but little did I know that IT'S SO MUCH BETTER! It's sweet, sexy, and emotionally driven. It's a completely out there kind of take on Romeo & Juliet. For New Adult romance readers, this book is a real treat! I highly recommend!

A unique, extraordinary, and captivating story of a broken man's journey towards healing, love, and transformation.
I totally love this book and there are a lot of reasons why I adore it. The story of Archer Hale and Bree Prescott really made such a great impact to me. I wanted to write a brief background of the story but I decided not to, since I don’t want to give anything away and basically spoil you.
The storyline of this book goes beyond expectations. At first, it was slow-paced but when I got to the best part of it, OMG my heart was shattered and I cried my eyes out!
Archer Hale is such an amazing character. Actually, he's the best part of this book. I love his character so much that I am in total awe of him. His perfect imperfection just made this book beautiful and unique. And Bree-- she's an admirable female lead. I love the way she totally accepted Archer for whatever he was. I also love the way she was so patient and kind and understanding, given the fact that she too has some issues. The way she handles her own demons is just remarkable.
The book, as a whole, was truly amazing. It was beautifully-written. Intense, heavy, and powerful. It so well deserved the high ratings it gets. No wonder why it was nominated for Goodreads' Best Romance of 2014, absolutely without a doubt, it's one of the best New Adult romance books ever written!

A cuteness overload book! Reading another Jenny Han's book as good as this is making me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I love it! Miss Jenny Han really never fails!
This book is a light and easy read. It's also swoon-worthy. I love the author's writing style, as usual. And of course, I love the characters-- Peter Kavinsky and Kitty, especially.
What I like best about this book is the fun moments. There is always humor in it and at some point, I found myself really laughing out loud. The family drama is also well-done. I like Lara Jean's personality and how she was able to handle her responsibility after Margot went to Scotland. She was at first, quite annoying, but that's okay since she's a teenager and teenagers normally act that way, right? But I really like the way her character improves all throughout the book.
The romance is also good. So sweet and cute! I feel like I'm back to being a teenager once again and it's kind of refreshing in a way. Now I'm excited for P.S. I Still Love You!
"You're just... you're just Seth." A tremor moved through his arms. "And you... you're just my salvation."
I've waited months just to have this boo"You're just... you're just Seth." A tremor moved through his arms. "And you... you're just my salvation."
I've waited months just to have this book and finally read Seth's side of the story, after enjoying the whole Covenant series. And after reading it, gods! I could not move on. Literally. There were so many emotions packed into this book. SETH!
Once again, JLA made my heart swell with so much love for her characters. Seth, is no doubt, Seth. A strong, hot Apollyon that I rooted for Alex during the Covenant series but sad to say... Well, anyway, I am glad because in this book, this dude finally met his match. The one and only Josie Bethel who is a totally likeable character. I like her so much! She's not as badass as Alex nor a strong one, but she is freakin' cool! I love how she withstands her perfectly chaotic situation, being a demigod and all. (No, I'm not spoiling you because it was mentioned right at the very beginning chapters so yeah.)
This book basically made me recall and miss the Covenant series. Honestly. But I'm glad that some of the major characters were present here, like Luke and Deacon. The swoony couple who makes the world go heart-heart!
The book is overall fantastic. There is a perfect blend of action, drama, romance (like, real and steamy romance) yay! And I got to finally understand Seth better this time. This book is also full of humor. Of course, there were funny moments especially whenever Apollo appears and pops out suddenly. Lol.
To those who haven't read the Covenant series yet, I suggest you not to read this book yet. Delve into the Covenant series and finish it first, and then read this next, so as to avoid spoilers. :)
Note: Unlike the Covenant series which is a YA, The Return is totally different because it's labeled as NA, so expect some sexy scenes here. *winks*
I did not expect much from this book because of mixed reviews. So basically, what I got was what I expected.
This book could have been better but thereI did not expect much from this book because of mixed reviews. So basically, what I got was what I expected.
This book could have been better but there was too much cheeziness going on. I love cheezy and romantic books, but this was overdone. Another issue I have with this book was the insta love. It’s too unbelievable.
It all started when Chloe, who ran away from her ex-husband, accidentally bumped into the hot and enigmatic Chase Sullivan when her car skidded off the road and Chase saw her and instantly helped her. He brought her to his home and gave her comfort, basically persuaded her to stay for the night while she’s figuring out what to do with her car. With Chase’s help her car was taken care of but she needed to stay a bit longer because Chase wanted her around. She discovered lots of things while staying at the beautiful mansion of Chase and learned more about him, including his passion and work as a photographer. Then they developed sexual tension and fell in love.
There was just a plain and simple plot in this book. Nothing was really special. And even when I was just starting this book, the insta-love / love-at-first sight thingy was already palpable it became a cliché.
It took seconds for Chase to decide that he’s attracted to her. And it took hours for him to realize that he’s in love with her. It also took 48 hours for them to have sex. And they were still getting to know each other at that. Insta-love, everyone!
Nevertheless, I love the author’s way of writing. I love how she described the setting. It was beautiful and peaceful and relaxing and I want to live there. I just wish the storyline was good.
