"Enjoy Your Stay" is book #2 of the Sugartown series. I loved the first book in the series; but unfortunately this one fell short for me in so many ways. Most of them are personal, and I am sure there are a lot of readers who may fall in love with Jackson and Holly. I was able to give it two stars mainly because I do think Carmen Jenner is a great writer, and I do wish to continue on with this series as well as her spin-off one. I also did enjoy some of the humor in this book. There were more than a few one liners that had me highlighting just so I could go back and have a laugh!
My biggest complaint with this story was the hero and the heroine. Considering they are the stars of this book, it makes for a very frustrating read. A very brief summary is that Holly is pregnant with her exes kid, and she lives with the couple from Book one as well as Jackson who is the hero. Well, these two are basically screw buddies who can't seem to stand one another. Somewhere along the way they fall for each other. Unfortunately this does not mean that we have a ton of meaningful and romantic scenes; instead we have them fighting their feelings for one another. Jackson often says horrible and hurtful things to Holly, and I could maybe forgive him for that eventually; however when he ends up (view spoiler)
There is a whole host of situations that Holly and Jackson do to one another, and I just ended up becoming emotionally detached from their relationship because of it. I can honestly say this is the first time that I have come across a book where I just couldn't care less what happens to the couple. There were no warm fuzzies for me, and I just hope that the next book in the series will be better. I am actually glad that I am done now and just want to move on!!

Thank you Jen, and yes I want to read the biker series, that is why I was finishing up this one because apparently the hero in Kick is introduced in book three!! Me being so darn picky I just had to read the third book to get to know him, but first had to read book two..Gah..I wish I wasn't so darn obsessive when it comes to book orders...I hope the next book will be better but I think I'm going to take a break!!
Thank you Jen, and yes I want to ..."
Oh I follow you!! Yes that's what I'm doing with Meghan March series lol but really just want to skip to new book haha xx
Bitchin' review Jen, I fucking hated these two losers. Although you said it a lot more eloquently than I did! Beautiful!

Haha!! I actually loved how you said yours!! And I agree, they are two losers, and they really do deserve each other I suppose!! I'm glad its over with! LOL
You are absolutely correct Tanja...and I'm just going to move on and cut my losses! Thanks hon..xoxo
Thanks Alp, and no worries, hopefully I will find the next epic book for me! LOL♥
Thanks so much Didi..and I'm with you on Jackson being a douche. He is just not hero worthy at all. I swear, the guy was just terrible, and really Holly wasn't much better. You were smart to pass on this book! LOL♥
You done an excellent honest review on this book, sorry it was not what you expected :(
Thanks..."
Lol!
Thank you Madeleine. I hate having to do a negative review but I do try and go with my heart and honesty is a must in my reviews!!! Have a great week my friend..xoox
Thanks Judith! I feel bad and I was so hopeful that I would love it; but I just couldn't make myself like Jackson and his treatment..The book I'm reading right now isn't much better. I don't know what is going on lately..or if it is just me!!?!!♥
Thanks very much Brandi..no worries..I will just move along!! ;-D
LOL! Thanks Sharon, and yes..he sure was a douche all right! I hate when that stuff happens in a book..especially when it is a romance book!! I like nicer heroes! I mean they can be arrogant but they have to put the heroine first in ALL things or they don't make it in my "good books" !!! Oh well, We can't win them all I suppose!! Hope you are well Sharon..xoxo
